@parisiandelaos - Thanks for watching and subscribing. That's not a problem. Just pre-plan your professional shot and anticipate the length of the shot. This is not the camera to use for your primary footage. It is for a B roll and multiple agle shots.

You need to send your unit in for a replacement because it will happen in the forseable future and might be when you are recording something important. Send it in and show DJI the damage footage in either video or screenshot because they would want proof before fixing your unit. I hope you bought their warranty plan. Good luck.

@TipêcheTouT - Thanks for watching and subscribing. You don't ever want to put your shutter below 1/100 while shooting low light on moving subject or while on the move because the slow shutter will cause ghost trails on all the lights or anything bright at night.

If you are just blogging and doing and walk and talk video, then you do not need the RX0II at all. Especially since the RXOII do not have a built-in video stabilizer. But if you are shooting B roll footage that require S-Log color codex, then it is a good idea to have this very capable tiny professional camera handy as part of your arsenal. I use this camera as my B-Roll device in my bag. When you use an exterior storage for the footage like the Ninja V, you will get a raw footage unmatched by ANY action camera in the market.

@babyboy1971 - Yes, you can adjust shutter to 1/100 if you set the camera to manual. I usually set it to 1/120

@babyboy1971 - When I set it as Auto, the camera select the shutter speed itself. I have displayed all the ISO on each footage in this video. When the camera is in supernight mode, the camera chose the highest shutter speed option automatically. When I am indoor and have option to select shutter speed, I always choose 1/120

@@join_the_ride_nyc to be honest, I already have the pocket 3 and it’s great for it, you are correct. However I’m deeply am action camera that can be a backup to it. My GoPro 12 is wonderful and looks great in daylight. Terrible in low light. I am waiting to see what the Ace pro 2 will have, and have also considered the Go3S. But this action 5 seems to be quite good.

@@babyboy1971 - I would stick with the DJI ecosystem. I gather you have not own any Insta360 cams before. It's cumbersome, you need to do a lot of tinkering in post after you shot the footage. A lot of people wasn't expecting that when they bought the camera and was in a real shock how much work they have to do in post before they can show their footage. The low light footage coming out of my Insta360 1 inch sensor is an absolute joke comparing to even footage from the Action 4 ( I had made a comparison video about this, check it out). The firmware is what create a good lowlight footage, not the device. One day, when DJI crack the code and put a 1 inch sensor in their action camera, all these other action cameras will be irrelevant.

@grahamjones7070 - If you want the daylight footage of Action 5 to look like the ones from Action 4, all you have to do , on the Auto mode, reduce the EV to -0.7 and the footage from Action 5 will look identical to the Action 4 daylight footage.

@nocturnalforsaken4519 - Thanks for watching and subscribing. DJI Action 5 can only do 4k30fps on supernight mode just like the Action 4. But you can turn on the PRO setting on the Action 5 on Supernight mode.

If you take the footage from your phone and look at them on a proper video editing software like Premier Pro on a computer monitor, you can see all the artifacts and blown out highlights on footage from the phone, which is largely unfixable. Sure, the video look nice on your phone screen, but when you actually see it on computer monitor, videos from action cameras and from one inch sensor cameras clearly look superior. DJI action 5 and DJI Pocket 3 are what you need to get if you want better footage than you phone videos.

@Mike_v_E - unfortunately, I don't dwell into the deep technical nitty gritty and believe there are better topics to make video of. I think you can search bit rate comparisons on other creator(s) video about that topic. Also, bit rate ccount doesn't worry me much because I can double or quadruple the bitrate on post production using Premier Pro. Just focus on getting good content.

@@join_the_ride_nyc setting the cam to manual mode make it worth buying it? Maybe just sticking with the older generation is enough - or maybe the Insta360 Ace Pro is better for this kind of scenario

@@atw365. - Thanks for watching and subscribing. The main advantage of the Action 5 is the super night mode, instant turned on, the high MB of the photo file size, and many other new features. It is MUCH more advance than even the Action 4 and no, I own the Insta360 with 1 inch sensor and the Action 5 blow that camera out of the water. It is the algorithm inside the Action 5 that make it a superior camera over its competitors.

@@join_the_ride_nycthis is good to know. I’m looking for a camera to compliment my pocket 3 and use for filming vlogs and walking tours in the evenings, and indoors. Such as in a mall. I’ve been very interested in the insta 360 ace pro or go3s but I think I’m now going to get the action 5! It’s amazing looking. And seems like the perfect companion to the pocket 3. Also, I can’t decide between regular or adventure combo.

@babyboy1971 - You can definitely shoot in standard color. I do that a lot when I just want to shoot something and send it to someone or post it on social media instantly. And yes, these settings are applicable to Action 5.

@babyboy1971 - If you already have 2 years care refresh on the Pocket 3, you are already covered. Just let it rip. Use it for whatever and however you want. Don't let fear prevent you from taking great footage. It's a tool that you don't keep and baby around with. I had a damaged Action 4 cam for no reason and DJI sent me a new one because of care refresh. So don't worry about it.

@@join_the_ride_nyc amazing. In this the secret to no jitters? I’ve been setting my GoPro camera to 24fps and 1/48, very jittery, but I think now I try 30fps and 1/120. Does that help with jitters? Very useful! Thank you. I actually have the pocket three and it’s amazing for lowlight, but I’m looking for a small camera that I can use to film for evening walks and inside shopping malls for walking tours. Do you think the action five could handle that kind of indoor lighting OK? The action 5 looks amazing!!!

@@babyboy1971 Yes, that is the secret. Higher shutter speed prevent jitters on low light situations with movement. The Action 5 can more than handle the indoor lighting. The location featured in the videos I showed on the comparison are actually very dark in real life, just like what the Action 4 showed. The Action 5 and Pocket 3 actually pumped up the light to make the scene looked like they were properly lit. I think Pocket 3 and Action 5 share similar algorithm to make low light scenes properly exposed. However, I have to warn you, since the Action 5 have a much smaller sensor than the Pocket 3, the footage will look over-sharpened. What you need to do is tone down the image sharpness by -2 and you should be good.

@@join_the_ride_nyc wow. Very helpful!!!! I do see a LOT of oversharpening on people’s videos reviewing the Action 5. To be honest, I have to do the same thing on my GoPro. Turn down the sharpening and it’s much better. Thank you for all this valuable info!

@@join_the_ride_nycalso how did you change into pro mode settings and get no jitter on super night mode? Literally every other reviewer I’ve seen there is a whole lot of jitter even in the super night mode. I don’t think they know that they have to quadruple the shutter speed from the frame rate.

@BlackestBeard - Thanks for commenting. Please subscribe. I don't the Anamorphic Lens is identical with Black Mist because the whole point of Anamorphic lens is to create blue flares on any spotlight captured on night shots. It is not supposed to look like the effect created by the black mist lens.
