Thanks! I had originally intended to include Mark's full speech, and I wanted to. However, I didn't have enough visual clips to make it work with the Audio.
Superb job, but it does show how once engines' tickets run out, they really ought to be stored undercover rather than shunted to the end of a siding and left out in all weathers for years until they're virtually back to the state they were in when they left Barry.
It's a wonderful notion, so long as you actually have undercover storage available. The MHR is incredibly limited in that respect, though they do a brilliant job with what they have.
Much like 506 and 499 are owned by the Urie Locomotive Society, 828 is privately owned by the Eastleigh Railway Preservation Society. So currently, it's not the MHR's responsibility.
Stunning is the word, looks so wonderful in her Southern livery; good choice! Thanks for posting your efforts, great vid'!!
She looks utterly amazing, just like Urie would’ve wanted. So glad they’ve got her running again. Thanks for the vid. 🚂
Absolutely fantastic video, so nice to see 506 back. I most definitely have to visit MHR asap to see it.
Amazing footage as always such a shame I wasn’t able to attend but thanks for getting the footage

that's welcome back s15 30506 now running as 506
I believe mark Collins I believe was the presenter of trainspotting doing the speech
Yes he did present 'Trainspotting'. Always enjoyed watching it when I was younger.
I watched it too since I was younger too and I realised it was mark collins
you could have turned the camera towards mark Collins to have a look at him after his presenter career of trainspotting
@@thebrummierailenthusiasts5329 Wasn't possible with the amount of people on the platform.
well you could have sneaked through the gap and then you would see mark Collins as he is today after his career as a presenter on trainspotting
fantastic video
Wonderful video :)
Thank you

SR black is the best form of black for a locomotive
Too long have I seen it in the shed under restoration!
Well these things take time.
Aren’t the MHR also overhauling 828 as well, because last time I went, it’s frames were re-wheeled and its tender was mostly painted

great stuff i was there
Cheers
I thought the speed limit was 25mph.....looks a bit faster than that.......beautiful machine
