What I find comical is how people think these restocks will quench the demand. Most retailers are limiting how many you can purchase a day. Stock still sells out immediately, but most people only get a handful of packs. The pull rates on the big cards of the set are so hard to pull that values of the card will remain high. People will get tired of searching retailers for one or two blister packs, and will resort to 3rd party sellers. Even Surging Sparks will be affected by these purchase limits. I foresee prices getting much higher.
I definitely don’t think they’ll quench demand, but it is the reason for the current price drop.
Out of curiosity, where do you see the ETBs being at in 2-3 months?
@ $145 - $160 if there is some inventory but still hard to find. If ETB’s are no longer being printed, and they decide to do other releases, that Eevee promo could put it higher.
I think this dip will be short lived.
I want the Espeon the most. Obviously if I get Umbreon I can sell and buy Espeon and have money left but it’s always been my favorite.
I don’t know if you guys have been around long enough, but whenever Pokemon has historically made a public statement pledging to reprint a set, they do not mess around. They didn’t even make a statement with Crown Zenith, and that set got massively reprinted. The last time this happened was when they printed Vivid Voltage, Champion’s Path, and Shining Fates to the ground. Don’t be surprised to see an absolute flood of product enter the market sometime in the near future. It won’t be immediately obvious, but over time, things will correct themselves as the supply makes itself known. I think it will end up more like Crown Zenith than Champion’s Path in the long run since the set has a good amount of demand by itself, but either way this will mean a large price downturn in the next few months if things go this way. I imagine Surging Sparks and Journey Together would suffer a similar fate, though I’m much less confident in their staying power, and I wouldn’t be surprised if 151 also gets a reprint (though I also wouldn’t hold my breath). Those are my predictions, anyway
It doesn't make sense that it is cheaper than the other mentioned ETB's you're right. However you still have to factor in we don't know how many reprint waves there might come in the future. Probably the only thing keeping them down.

Assuming reprints on Surging and Prismatics? How about the PC?ones
PC ETBs normally don’t get reprinted, but considering the PE ones didn’t restock on release day, we might see more of those down the road.
I just wanted to know because I just recently picked back up on sealed collecting, is it worth-it to buy the PC exclusive etbs in terms of a ROI or just the regular ones? Interms of current market price and future possible increase
It’s a newer item so anyone trying to justify them in the very longer term is doing it without much data. That said, PC versions are currently outperforming regular ETBs in terms of annualized ROI.
Of course bro, the PC etbs are always the best product youcan buy if you have access to PC, as most of the world doesn't so they will always be rare and limited.
Also they don't get reprints do it's kind of a guarantee of "first edition"

Prismatic long term Won’t hold cause it’s actually a horrible set that lacks identity and authenticity. There isn’t anything that eye popping about the arts in my opinion. I feel like it just trailed the hype of sword and shield moonbreon

It doesn’t matter if you think the artwork isn’t nice, if you look at the set subjectively there are a lot of people that love the artworks and even if people didn’t like them, eeveelutions still will be expensive as hell

How much of a postion do you want for prismatic etbs poke profit?
I’m happy with the position I have, but if we have a Crown Zenith situation over the next couple years, I’ll probably double my position.

I doubt it’s coming any time soon. Who knows if they’ll even reprint ETBs.
That said, if a reprint comes and prices continue dropping, I’ll just buy more.

shouldve bought klara and cyrus cases from hills when they were on there for 6 months at 125 for a case. Next up is iono for 129 a case, has sv and lost origin
I’m guessing those prices are USD? I bought some on Hobbiesville a month ago at a lower conversion.
I only start picking up these types of products when they are about to sell out on the PC and will likely get that short term pop.

The only reason prices are so high is because today marks only 2 weeks since release. Its still the flavor of the week, no more no less. Big box has tons of allocation they will be pumping out. All the scalpers who have been buying this still have tons of product to put on the market and this is all unopened product. Once all this is in circulation and getting opened, these prices are going to get hammered. And.....booster bundles and the specialty boxes haven't even come out yet. If you think prices will stay the same or rise....you are going to get smoked.
None of it will matter. They will not be able to meet demand.

@@Artictoyofrom what I remember evolving skies got reprinted a lot and now it’s 20 a pack lmao. “At the bottom” is crazy tho a week after a release and right after Pokémon announced they’re printing a shit ton of it
