Dude! I have been following you for years! You are so funny and I learned so much! Fifth scale, custom builds, and most of all those kits that we have yet too see. No cheap kits though. Good luck!
tekno mt410 is the best basher on the market. nearly indestructible. thunder tiger 2nd. You could mod it for gas or nitro. relative to any tekno rig traxxas is a Wal-Mart truck. the trx4 is still unproven. Xmaxx is lame.
Basher...4x4 Slash. If you want a kit...go Twin Hammer LOL It takes a lot of modding to do whatever you want. Also...the new Traxxas Rally (yes new, they re-engineered it) is an LCG 4x4 Slash with short Arms and a Fiesta body. Quite a bit of fun!
Ill say stampede 4x4. I had one, sold it and buy it again few years later. I only regret that i sold it back in the days. For crawler trail truck, ill say traxxas trx 4 i just pre ordered one. Saw a lot of reviews from other youtubers and i love it. Cant wait to get one!!
I just got back into rc. Been out over 2 years. my first vehicle I got back into was the tekno rc mt410. best basher you can find. unbreakable. traxxas is breaks when you breath on it. or get arrma.
If you have a local track I would recommend a 1/8 race kit, I never even used to think about racing buggies as I was a bashed and liked the scale look. I had a long break from rc but visited my local track and I'm now hooked, so much to learn and you see rc in a whole different light! I have a few vids in my videos. Have a look👍
first off I'm happy that you're back second I can't give you advice on which kit to buy because I've been out of the loop too but the only thing I can say is go with what you feel would be worth it
Hi mate. Great to see you back. You guys were one of the main influences that got me back into rc and making my own vids. I missed this vid and have noticed the 4tec and trx4 vids so guessing u got those. I know u say everyone will say it but current basher wise it's got to be the xmaxx v2. I had the v1 and loved it. V2 I want but it's ££! I rekon it's worth it though as selling on they seem to hold good money. Good luck with getting time for rc! Enjoy! 👍👍
vaterrA makes a quality scale rig, axial, the new Traxxas one is expensive but has alot of useful features. there's also gmade but to my understanding spare parts can be a pain to get. good luck, glad to see ya back.
welcome back bud! u absolutely have to get the Tekno MT410! hands down the best MT-bash truck on the market by miles! so durable it's sickening! the only let down in the entire kit is the plastic servo horn and that's so minor it's hardly relevant.. oh and in my opinion the diff fluids r a bit too thick and again its minimal.. mamba monster X with one of their new sensored Motors (2200kv in mine and i got it before the new motors came out).. best RC i have ever owned!
Joel Smith Ah you were off by 2 videos!!! Lol then left again and came back for the senton recently only to leave AGAIN! Wtf is wrong with these guys? Just give it up.
I ran through the possibilities and concluded that there is a high possibility that he and his friend have jobs and other more important priorities in life. But what do I know? I for one appreciate any and all attempts they make to create more content. Long live RcNightmare!
as far as crawlers traxxas is coming out with a one that I think is worth checking out. I got to try a demo one and out of the box is VERY good. it is using some of the summit technology (remote locking diffs.)
I'm gonna go with, the Trx4 as most others have suggested, it's new, I'll second and third the Tekno mt410. Another new one I might like to see is the Losi Dbxl-e (as an alternative to the x-maxx), I don't dislike the x-maxx, but there are more than enough videos of it. Ultimately, it's up to you.
Got a track to go to ? Id do a guide on building a good running track car with minimal upgrades for stock racing while making sure you have full adjustability. (Not something like a slash that requires another 100 usd to be a good racer to be able too keep up with a Associated sc10 with mods for perhaps 20 usd besides a brushless system, shock oil & tires as it originally came brushed or similar.) Perhaps go between a brushless budget basher going with a used truggy or stadium truck ? & a basic stock track car ? & perhaps a brushed micro rc basher that you upgrade too brushless later on ? Like a wltoys A212 1:24th scale monster truck or the 1:24th scale rally car & swapping out the motor for a bit more speed & torque too a 43t with or without neodymium magnets (neomagnets bring torque but takes out rpm at the same time.) & gear it down so it doesn't heat up as much or run it until it burns & swap in a cheap brushless system into it heh.
Welcome back again sir :) when you say 'crawler' you really mean scaler I think? You could take a look at the TRX Landrover, or the (upcoming?) HPI Toyota? And an RC4WD would be a good option as well offcourse.. Ohw and: the best RC is the one you actually HAVE? Good luck! :)
I know you said you'd like to stick with the top 5 mainstream brands but I'm hearing good things lately about the new Team Redcat stuff. Particularly the TR-MT10E. I'd like to see you get one and see how it holds up against some of the other brands now.
How about the Traxxas TRX-4 Trail crawler. Uses similar electronics as the summit, but in a more scale crawler car. Or you may go with a Vaterra branded car, like an Ascender. As for bashers, I would go for the Arrma Outcast or the newest Traxxas X-Maxx 8S. Personally I would also like to have a Traxxas Summit, the bigger one, at some point too, as the 1/16 summit is so fun. But I think you should not dismiss 2wd cars either, because they are a lot of fun, more so than many 4wd. HPI has one, I think it is called Firestorm Flux or something like that, but make sure you get the fastest one of them as there are a few editions of that car now. Also check out the Losi branded cars. I have a 1/24 rally X and it is quite fun if you have a suitable are to drive it.
I didn't realize until just now that your the man behind this and Unsleeved Media (MTG Headquarters). Anyway, check out the Losi Tenacity. I have the XXX-SCT, and I am really thinking about picking up the Tenacity. They are both AVC enabled, and the Tenacity has built in telemetry. I'm a Losi fanboy for sure lol
Twinkie Truck PB /isaacankrom115 if u believe that then u haven't had ur hands on the MT410.. i have a kraton and an outcast and they're great but don't compare
I think you might be selling Arrma a little bit short. There 1/8 scale stuff is awesome. I got the Kraton and the Nero and they are great. I think you would be impressed
I've been out of RC for a while and started playing MTG. you should check out the Traxxas trx4 my local hobby shop post a video about and it looks sweet
where's that arrma sc you unbound? that would be an easy way to put out some content for a review real quick. tekno mt410 would be a great truck to review.
welcome back well my opinion for a rock crawler would be the traxxas trx-4 it has just come out and for a basher it really depends on what you interest's are in the x maxx is a really awesome truck I have one and really enjoy it and is really durable I have only broke it once in the year that I have owned it. I have also have the 8s kit in it. I would like to see something new that has just came out
Get out of your comfort zone and get something good and different for your channel. Try RC4wd or Vaterra. Get a Twin Hammers or even a Bomber. I know bashing was the thing but Scale has grown. Go to an scale RC event. Try rock racing.
You make more videos about coming back to RC than actual RC videos lol. Hopefully you guys are back for real
You were so young back then. Glad you found your place
I'll be placing my order Wednesday or Thursday this week! Can't wait to get back!
rcnightmare traxxas has a new scale crawler just released!
I work at the hobbytown on oneida, if you need any help with your selection, stop on in!
proline pro-mt is a great basher kit!!
rcnightmare a think you should check out arrma 8th scale stuff, or even the senton, absolute tanks of vehicles and good rtr value.
Hey bro, glad you're back. Very exited for upcoming vids!
Best value for a basher would be arrma Kraton v2 or the outcast. Best of the best would be an MT410.
glad to see you're back. love your other channels and I'm looking forward to seeing some new content.
Dude! I have been following you for years! You are so funny and I learned so much! Fifth scale, custom builds, and most of all those kits that we have yet too see. No cheap kits though. Good luck!
Not arsed what kit you get. Just glad to see the channel active again.
Woohoo! Good to have you back, now get a review going asap!
Get a Losi Rock Rey for bashing. TRX4 for crawler
I waited for many years for you to come back. awesome
Happy to see you back!
Keep posting the top unboxing video's
Allso regards to Brandon from Holland.
great to see you back!
tekno mt410 is the best basher on the market. nearly indestructible. thunder tiger 2nd. You could mod it for gas or nitro. relative to any tekno rig traxxas is a Wal-Mart truck. the trx4 is still unproven. Xmaxx is lame.
You're out of your element Donny!
ARRMA is best for price wise check out !!!
rich duberbash on UA-cam on how runs his car.
I know you said u tried the arrma stuff but highly recommend getting into the 1/8th scale arrma line. Amazing vehicles!
Axial SMT10 Monster Truck and then upgrade it. Such a fun solid axle monster truck when you add a bit more speed to it and larger wheels.
Tekno MT410 hands down, good seeing you back!
mtctookie25
i 2nd that
I looked into it, it seems like they even have an RTR, but it wont be available for a little while
You aren't interested in the kit, then you can add top electronics, shouldn't take too long to build.
Traxxas trx 4 defender for the crawler. Loving mine I just got. Welcome back
Ill say stampede 4x4. I had one, sold it and buy it again few years later. I only regret that i sold it back in the days. For crawler trail truck, ill say traxxas trx 4 i just pre ordered one. Saw a lot of reviews from other youtubers and i love it. Cant wait to get one!!

A Tekno & and a Traxxas :P Glad channel is back!
about time you come back lol welcome back
I predict there will be one more video and you'll be gone again
Joel Smith Ah you were off by 2 videos!!! Lol then left again and came back for the senton recently only to leave AGAIN! Wtf is wrong with these guys? Just give it up.
I ran through the possibilities and concluded that there is a high possibility that he and his friend have jobs and other more important priorities in life. But what do I know? I for one appreciate any and all attempts they make to create more content. Long live RcNightmare!
I bet they still get paid lol get a tekno Rc Nightmare!
we need 3hr long hang out wrenching sessions
as far as crawlers traxxas is coming out with a one that I think is worth checking out. I got to try a demo one and out of the box is VERY good. it is using some of the summit technology (remote locking diffs.)
Tekno mt410 arrma outcast
I own a tekno sct410.3 and that thing is a tank and I'm curious to see how the mt410 compares
I would say E-Revo for basher and Traxxas TRX-4 for crawler, it is new and it is popular
Have a look at the traxxas rustler vxl and I can't tell you it's a hell of a lot of fun
I was given a full built to race sc10 an you talk about building a race truck and tips for getting into racing ?
hpi venture and tekno mt are nice also
The Losi scte since the orange 1.0 you had. Sorry to hear Brandon is gone but glad you are giving it another go.
Ultimately, it's up to you.

go for for the Axial Deadbolt scale truck/crawler. 300 bucks and lots of upgrade parts.
If you haven't bought the basher, do the Tekno kit with the Waterproof Castle.
Get something made by arrma all their 1/8th scale kits are solid for bashing
also new and really nice in some other vids is the LOSI DBXL-E RTR - but costs much ...
Welcome back again sir :)
when you say 'crawler' you really mean scaler I think? You could take a look at the TRX Landrover, or the (upcoming?) HPI Toyota? And an RC4WD would be a good option as well offcourse..
Ohw and: the best RC is the one you actually HAVE?
Good luck! :)

Arrma talion or Kraton
You should get slash 4x4 fox edition brushless for a basher
How about the Traxxas TRX-4 Trail crawler. Uses similar electronics as the summit, but in a more scale crawler car. Or you may go with a Vaterra branded car, like an Ascender.
