- It's time for another Marvel vs Capcom 2 (mvc2) character overview rundown video! Today we're talking Tron Bonne, a character with a few tricks up her sleeve and an extremely top tier assist. We'll show some combos with Magneto and Doctor Doom, and even an infinite combo! Hope you enjoy!

That statement is very... Marvel 2.
Very similar to skullgirls' philosophy of "Tods have to be all original moves" because if you press the same button 3 times it counts as an infinite and gets you bursted
To be fair the Servbot grab move can be escaped by mashing buttons so it isnt a true infinite
Capcom needs to bring back The Misadventures of Tron Bonne. Plus, the cancelled Mega Man Legends 3 would be dope too.

I stumbled onto this game at BJs way back during PS2 Era, for like 15$, thoroughly enjoyed this game
At this point I just want a MegaMan legends remake. Too many people are unfamiliar with Legends and I feel the game feels outdated nowadays for most modern players.

Can we also talk about how well animated she is, especially her idle animation.
Heck, all 8 characters made for MvC2 have fantastic animations, designed around the limited frames each character were alotted (as opposed to the rest of the roster who lost a lot of animations frames in this game compared to previous entries in the series).

Tron was my main in both MvC2 and MvC3. She's a lot of fun, and Megaman Legends references are always a win.
Her Gustaff Fire assist in vanilla MvC3 was also totally invincible. It's funny that it put her in a similar situation as in MvC2 - mostly slept on as a point character but was slotted into lots of teams solely for having a broken assist.
Yea wasn't she pretty rampant in vanilla marvel 3? I feel like she was on one of the teams in the vanilla Evo Grand Finals

Seriously, I just watched some MVCI gameplay.....and those sprites look HORRIBLE compared to these

Really depends on the character. Mvc2 in terms of the art assets was almost entirely an asset flip, and some of the sprites (cammy, morrigan, etc) are from games that were already old when mvc2 came out, and have some weird softness to them because of resolution scaling, so they actually look way sharper in their original games. But the new sprites, like Tron, Cable, Marrow etc look fantastic. If you want to see what I believe is peak capcom sprite art look at cyberbots and armored warrior. those games look _incredible_ .
I remember getting hit by Tron Bonne's "Projectile Type" assist for the first time, I was shocked and pissed at the same time.
Tron is my go to character for stupid corner shenanigans with Storm and Magneto
God, I'm seething with secondhand tilt just from the tron bonne assist laugh.

There are 4,492,125 unique combinations of characters and assists in this game. Do you think at some point in time every single one of them has been picked or could some combos still remain unused to this day?🤔

As less and less combinations remain the odds of someone using the next available combination decreases significantly. Also, picks aren't random so some of the teams that have low tiers, or characters that don't work well together, would make those comps way less likely. I guarantee some combinations haven't been used. The numbers involved end up arbitrarily large.
Tron Bonne is fucking CRAZY good. I don't play in ratio tournaments; but my ratio and also main team is Tron-Jin-Sabretooth. Initially I just wanted to have a team that complimented Jin (very weird and cool character) but the synergy was so good, it functioned better than my main team containing Sentinel, Cyclops, and Juggernaut; despite being lower tiered. Tron Bon is the glue that holds teams together. She's so good at this, I feel like statistically worse teams become better than the sum of their parts. Tron Bon is the sauce
Tron Bonne’s air dash to heavy punch is a masterful cross-up with Sabertooth Birdy assist.
Also, if you use storm with Tron, you deal a great amount of damage.
Tron’s super with all those servbots work well with Captain America’s Charging Star.
Edit: Tron-Ryu-Captain America. Don’t sleep on Ryu’s projectile assist with the air dash heavy punch cross up from Tron

The best player at my arcade when I was young used Tron Bonne, Dr. Doom, and a random third depending on how serious he was. He was awesome, taught me everything I know about the game.
I still think we need a video on advanced movement techniques and how to get in to get a hit confirm, and also a video on how to best time assists and the mechanics of the assist feature in general.

Tron is one of my favorite characters in all of MVC. I absolutely love her in MVC2 and UMVC3, and i’ll always come back to her.

I am recently getting to MVC2 on the original PS2 and Tron is really good, I love to pair her up with cable and sentinel since they compliment there playstyle on each other

Yipes played a team of Morrigan/Tron/Sent at Seasons Beatings that was awesome to watch, and I ended up making that my main team in MvC2. Literally have killed top tier teams with it.
who can forget PR Rogs epic lvl 3 against Viscant
Rogue/Storm/Tron is another good team I remember seeing. Rogue can create lots of crazy cross up situations by air dashing and dive kicking while calling for Tron assist (similar to your strat with Chun). Rogue and Storm also have a lot of chemistry as a team, especially Storm's Lightning Storm DHC off Goodnight Sugah which can lead to a full air combo, and Storm's assists can help Tron maintain her pressure if Tron can get the corner.
A secret for Tron Bonne, when using her Alpha assist, with having one meter, and doing a THC. For the Lunch Rush, the gun doesn't have to hit the opponent for the Kubons to come out. Unfortunately, you sacrifice the top tier assist.

i love tron, she was one of my favs when i was younger and i really want to get better with her, i think her with mega man and sentinel seems like a fun team but im super bad with all of them rn

If you pay attention to damage numbers, you can tell tron's assist is a glitch. They made her projectile assist her medium attack, which does 15 dmg TOTAL over 3 hits, but they made the 3 hits EACH do 15 dmg.
MST is my favorite team, so much fun, 1 mix does half into another mix into death, even better with storm. so godlike

I play Captain America/Tron/Sabertooth and the Final Justice >> Lunch Rush DHC has some of the weirdest properties I've ever seen. It works well with around 50% of the characters, it whiffs with around 25%, and with the other 25% it only works if you start Final Justice FROM THE RIGHT. Why? Because Marvel 2 I guess.
Why does T.Bonne have a lego figure stand
Her laugh makes that assist feel so mean. Like "lol I'm a better assist than you!"
Her idle animation is one of the best in the game.

The only reason I've been curious about these games is BECAUSE of Tron. MML was always my favorite MegaMan series. So if I ever did play this I think I would be bias towards using only the MegaMan characters.

Alright, t.bonne is arguably a good character, but I can never bring myself to use her all because of that ridiculous ear percing laugh she does every time you use her assist.

I had a friend that i used to play with on ps2 and he would always use tron bronne with the lazer assist , doom with rocks and akuma with tatsu and would be fucking annoying in the corner lol i would still win and frequently would go 100-1 or 100-2 vs him lol
