Great playing and great demonstration, thank you. This video sold me on this pedal. I’ve got one ordered as of today and can’t wait to get it. To my ears it sounds better than the Flint I had months ago. Thanks
Great demo. I just bought one today and already it’s made my amp come alive. I do a lot of solo jazz standards stuff and don’t use any pedals really but I was missing a solid reverb and my amp had no tremolo. At subtler settings this box adds a ton of texture and vocality. I had been thinking of selling or trading my amp but the Mr. Moto helped me get what I want out of it today that’s for sure.
I love your song writing. In addition to being entertaining, these demos really fit the theme of the pedals and I always learn something new. Thank you.
I just saw this earlier this evening and I had to come back to it and concur with the last comment from 2 years ago on your video. Very tasty playing and well done throughout. So many demos on here are just rubbish, with players cranking the gain and talking about the tonal nuances of something that ends up sounding like a cheap `60's transistor radio with a blown speaker! You, on the other hand, have actually made me want one of these pedals because it sounds so good in your capable hands!
Wish it had an internal volume pot, then I would be interested. I never buy a trem pedal without a volume - I have owned some with volume loss and volume boost and have learned my lesson. Great demo as usual.
Both the trem and the verb sound great alone and together. If it had a switch for each I would buy it. I leave verb on all the time and sometimes just want trem for part of the song, so having to turn the trem on/off with a knob wouldn't work for me. Does sound really good tho.
Awesome video! It sounds like there's a bit of pre-delay on the reverb. Seems to let the initial note attack through before washing it all out. Great tone.
Great sound,- cinematic is the word.Damn nice spring emulation, nice option to the Mr Black Deluxe.Sometimes these combo designs,- and Keeley comes to mind,- are more than the sum of parts....just got...mojo?
Thanks!! The Flint has a more tweakable reverb but the trem isn't as dialable. The Moto has a brighter spring style verb but can't be other than level. They both sound great to me.
It's always a joy to watch you play. Absolutely fantastic demo… I'm looking for a Trem/Reverb pedal to use in front of a non master volume plexi style amp and the obvious choice is the Strymon Flint but just found out about the J Rockett Mr Moto and I'm wondering if you think it is on par with the Flint for tremolo and Spring reverb sounds or do you think the Flint is a significant step up in quality? Thank you. Cheers!
Thanks for the kind words! The Mr. Moto is really great sounding but and perfect if you're not worried about tweaking so much. The Flint would be quite a bit more versatile as you can choose different types of reverbs and trems.
Shawn Tubbs Thanks Shawn! It’s really hard to try before buying here in Portugal where I live so it is great to know your opinion. I’m a big fan of yours. Love your playing. Take care.
Great demo Shawn, Hank Marvin and Dick Dale would be proud! Hard to decide between this pedal or the Source Audio's True Spring. On a side note, what drum software do you use? would love to see a video on how you create these killer demos!
I did a sultry dance to the opening number. Then the dog started humping my leg. I said ‘Shiva! Stop humping my leg!” But he didn’t listen....probably the song.
Why do I suddenly crave a Mai Tai and smell Sex Wax? Please tell me about that 12 string hollow body. Make, wood? Beautiful! It sounds like the signal is split and mix back together. The tremolo doesn't seem to modulate the reverb and the reverb seems to be based on the dry signal. Am I right? If so this would take some work to replicate with separate pedals.
Now, Mr. Tubbs, as you dangle above this bubbling pit of cyborg-crocodile infested water that's just opened up from the floor of my secret laboratory on a remote island, I shall unfold to you a lengthy and complicated plot for world domina....aaaand you've escaped with the front desk girl...
You, sir, might just have the best pedal demos on UA-cam.
I second that, Shawn makes it hard for guys like me.

The day begins wonderful with a new ST video :-)

Geez man, that opening was absolutely incredible, masterful.
Two incredible things...ST and JRA pedals! :) That intro song was fantastic...
Great tune Shawn. Perfect for the pedal.
Hey, just trying to help out.
Wow! Beautiful intro. Really showed off the pedal.
That reverb sounds great.
Wish it had an internal volume pot, then I would be interested. I never buy a trem pedal without a volume - I have owned some with volume loss and volume boost and have learned my lesson.
Great demo as usual.
Superb! the intro is so vibey.
Nice pun!

Agreed 100%. Two switches plus a volume knob would perfect this pedal.
Magestic intro song !

Tubbs, Shawn Tubbs!

Great demo as always Shawn. I know there are obvious differences but how would you say it compares sonically to your Flint?
Thanks!! The Flint has a more tweakable reverb but the trem isn't as dialable. The Moto has a brighter spring style verb but can't be other than level. They both sound great to me.

Thanks so much! I use EZ drummer 2 for everything.
Clint Eastwood should be riding in on a horse! Amazing
Great video. Couldn’t run on a 9 V battery? If so, how long will it last?
Thanks for watching! The Tour Series Pedals do not use 9v batteries.
Nice shirt! #Sweetwater
Don’t you ever wonder who the @$$hole is who gives a thumbs down? Double thumbs up Shawn, great demo!
Hahaha, thanks for the kind words!
I did a sultry dance to the opening number. Then the dog started humping my leg. I said ‘Shiva! Stop humping my leg!” But he didn’t listen....probably the song.
Thanks, Mister Tee!! Shiva is a cool name for a dog. I believe there is an amp built by Bogner called the Shiva.
Why do I suddenly crave a Mai Tai and smell Sex Wax? Please tell me about that 12 string hollow body. Make, wood? Beautiful!

Spaghetti Western Romance scene music. You should sell this one.

Is this a song for a new Tarantino movie?
I wish!
