I’m so glad you are here!! Thanks for watching! I shouldn’t look at subscriber counts - it can become obsessive in a way - I need to just do what I do and not worry about it.
Great video! I go to Vegas once a year… not great at blackjack but I play video poker and the slots. Also nice to be able to catch a Knights hockey game or 2
I was just coming to comment this! I have no idea I knew how to play blackjack until she explained the aim of the game and I was like, oh! I've been playing this since I was about 6! 😅😅
In college I majored in actuarial science and I currently work as an actuarial analyst now but it is a degree based heavily on math and statistics. One time I was reading an article about how to make money with math and I read about card counting. So I got a book, spent 300 hours practicing and studying. Then spent 200 hours in the casino counting cards in blackjack and profited $6,000. A bit later down the road I mentioned in an interview that I knew how to count cards in blackjack because I thought it would make me stand out and show that I am skilled with math. Unfortunately the only thing they knew about card counting was from old movies where the mafia is breaking people's fingers and they thought I was breaking the law. To the surprise of some people it actually isn't illegal to use your brain when you play a card game. Moral of the story is people are quick to judge and that doesn't make them right. Don't take it too hard and don't apologize for other peoples' ignorance.
This is a great story! My cousin was in a card counting group. I was in Vegas with him at the time and it was all very exciting! He’s a genius, I’m guessing you are too! Thanks for watching!!
@@Nofrillsasmr I always wanted to play in a group because you can pool your money and play larger bets. Although it's really hard to get a group you can trust. It is very easy for someone to say they lost $10,000 and actually have won $20,000. You know more about the game than most people as well and it is refreshing. Thank you for making the video.
@11.00 you have a ace and a 7 your already on soft 18 u stand on that, if you double down your risking double the money hoping for a 2 or 3 it’s not worth it also the best card u can get is a 10 if u hit your still on 18? Tiny mistake other then that nice video
Yeah, that’s a tough one. It could go either way. The idea isn’t to better your hand, but to get more money on the table with the hopes that the dealer goes bust since he has a bust card showing. It’s risky and unnecessary, but just a chance to win more money.
