Happy Birthday Haoko. I don't know what the weather is like in October but they look really listless. Everyone wanted a piece of sweet Sumomo. Momoka holding Su upside down was funny. They all seem relaxed, even Haoko who looks more & more like his dad Kibabu. I haven't seen the troop for awhile as I've been caring for my elderly mom who has dementia.😢 It was lovely to see the troop again & i hope dear Karin you are well & look forward to the next video, it was a great series. Thank you. Ps i think Toto had an itch she couldn't scratch.😂
It was a windy but chilly afternoon. And it was almost time to go back to their indoor bed room. They might have been tired. Toto looked exhausted in the video. You must be very exhausted too from taking care of your mom. Thank you for sharing your personal story with us. I hope you get to find time for yourself to relax. In Australia, can you seek help from a municipal government like a public day care service in order to lessen the burden of family members?

There are places to go for a break called Respite care, they spend the day going on trips or playing games, it's essential for the carers to also get a break. It's free health care in Oz. I need to catch up on my gorilla's. It's all good. Thanks Karin, I haven't shared this with anyone till now.🙋💕

Sumomo always seems a little nervous when Momoka climbs higher with her, but she held on to her well. The two of them were cute and Momoka keeps her family well groomed. It's sad that there's no predicting whether Komomo and Momoka will have their own troops and what will happen to Riki? I'm worried about that too. Poor Haoko, he has a crush on Momoko. But since she's been on contraceptives, she doesn't seem very interested anymore. Momoko's children also love her very much and often seek her company. Sometimes they are naughty with her, but that's normal for gorillas. Maybe Toto had an uncomfortable feeling or pain, fibroids can cause that 😟. Thank you for the photo of young Haoko 😍. Haoko has had a crush on Momoko since he first met her at the age of 16. Since then, his love for her has never faded. It's amazing. Momoko shows interest in Haoko from time to time, even under contraception. It's very rare, though. It's very frustrating to see young gorillas in Japan are stuck with their natal group. The names of the gorillas born at Ueno Zoo are chosen by a public poll. I'm sure there were options of the names with MOMO, but that time more people preferred RIKI.😉

I love Toto. She used to look so sad. But then came Sumomo. Her mom is not very maternal so the baby started hanging out with Toto (when she wasn't playing with Riki). It seemed that Toto cheered up. She seemed to really enjoy taking care of Sumomo. After all Sumomos mom had plenty of kids and was not that thrilled about it. Haoko didn't seem to care about Toto and she seemed lonely. Then that cutie came and took to her. I'm so glad she's okay because Sumomo loves her too. Toto gave her the attention that she wasn't getting and it was great to see how Toto was feeling better. She loves that baby☺

ほんとうにおっしゃる通りだと思います。群れが大きいとそれだけ学びの場が増えるので好循環が生まれますよね。ハオコのお兄さんのBauwi のようにたくさんメスがいすぎても、ストレスになって寿命が短くなってしまうかもしれませんが、少なすぎると、今度はメス一人が亡くなったり、移動になったらショックが大きくなってしまいますから、ちょうどよい個体数というのはあるのでしょうね。ドリーホワイトさん、夜分遅くご視聴いただきありがとうございました。ハオコのためにもモモコとトトには健康でいてほしいし、娘たちには新しい家族が作れる日が来ることを願っています。(願うばかりじゃ、ゴリラたちには申し訳ないのでできる範囲のことはしたいなと思います)
