Hey! I was at this concert, and it is as epic as I remembered. Also makes me remember all the breweries I went to while in Asheville, back when you could actually go to breweries.
Absolutely loved this show. Got into the vip section without paying for a ticket and was right at the fencing keeping the crowd from the stage. Also I was right in front of the giant speaker on the right. Truly unforgettable!!!
1:28:35 At this point in the show I was wondering why nobody else was still calling "Bitter!" back at 'sunglasses cool' Ambrose, and wanted to encourage him to keep going. Sure enough, he called out "Bitter!" and it didn't seem like anybody else was going to say anything, so I figured I'd vibe him up. Super embarrassing, but holy shit I'd never have thought that I'd make it onto one of their live recordings that they put on sale omg
What a thrasher this show was... I remember about 2 or 3 songs before they finished, Stu and Ambrose was communicating something between them... I shouted play Lord of Lightning as loud as I could and low and behold they nod to each other and the song lord of lightning comes on😂😂 no idea whether they actually heard me or they happened to have that on the set. But I prefer to think I made them play Lord of Lightning. If you see a white tank top with an octopus drumming in the crowd, that’s me in my first moshpit.
nothing will beat being in that mosh for lord of lightning. i remember clearly watching someone just get fucking tackled out of nowhere in the middle of the pit. really intense mosh but everyone helped each other up. only sad part was there was trash everywhere after the show (ironic since this set included plastic boogie).
