Countries that try this sneaky tax particularly Mexico, then they are just hurting themselves in the long run
As far as my concern, my country doesnt need you or anybody else. Lots of resorts have being builded in the past decade for you to come and hide yourself, the destruction of the jungle, living people, living creatures, little towns near by have been left without water because or your consumptions and needs. We don't really need anybody hear and neither think you own this country. Thank you!
For all intents and purposes it is a scam. Why do you participate in it? And what's worse is that you broadcast this to your 5k of subscribers.
@@LoL_Lolovitch I'm not sure why you insist it is a scam. Do a search for yourself and honestly investigate whether or not this is the law for visitors to the State of Q.Roo.
For us, when we are guests in another country we will follow their laws. Whether I agree with them or not.
I don't fly into any Australian airport with food -even food from the plane. I don't bring chewing gum into Singapore. I pay the Visitor tax of 150 000 IDR as a visitor to Bali and the Visitor tax charges per night for visitors in Dubai.
Cancun is not the only one with a tax like this. It IS however the WORST implemented tax I have ever encountered. I do understand why some choose to think it is a scam but if you actually do some research you might find it isn't.
@@newtravelescapes I wrote my comment after doing my due diligence in both English and Spanish, and I came across your channel as a result. :) Would you be willing to create another video acknowledging that you were mistaken and apologizing for misleading your audience? Also, I’m curious, how thorough were you in conducting your research?
@@LoL_Lolovitch I guess we will have to agree to disagree. I am confident in my research.
@@newtravelescapes I’m not sure how you can disagree with factual information 🤷🏻♂️. You have been sending people to fraudulent websites, anyone with background in IT and some common sense can prove that in five minutes. Am I correct in my understanding that you are not going to do anything about it? Are you a part of this?
If it really hurt you to pay 17 us dollars to go to an other country, wow, you suck!
@@raverave4667 I don't think people are complaining that it 'hurts'. I think they are feeling frustrated with the miscommunication, the scam websites, the implementation inconsistencies, and frankly the way the Visitax people stand in the airport asking for cash. Add to that, the airlines sending you links to pay it but then the airline staff tell you they don't know anything about it. I wish the government had done a better job putting the tax into place so tourists didn't question its legitimacy. It IS the law but it is very confusing.
I was in Cancun in August, 2024. I DID NOT see or hear anything about said tax. Nobody asked or told me about it. The only place I have ever heard of this is on this or other UA-cam videos only. No notices in the airport, from my airline or anything.
They can ask if and when I ever return. Not sure? Because there is no information. Make sure you use the correct website?! Seems it has been changed.
What did I learn in Mexico? Don't trust anyone farther than you can throw them - not at all. You will be told 3 different things by as many people.
@@SiouXsySiouXvideo Interesting. We have been in and out of CUN 6 times in the past 12 months and have received a link from our airline each time. Different airlines. Same link. Up to you. Pay it or not. Makes no difference to me but a quick Google search will show you that it is the law for visitors to the State of Quintana Roo.
