Hello, it is good to see your video about berklee online. I am actually taking the course "reharmonization technique" this semester right now, I am going to say it is a really fantastic course I have ever taken at berklee online (I have taken more than 10+, this is the best one), even though I have been working in commercial music composition industry for five years, a lot of the concepts presented in this course are really new to me. I have read the book you mentioned in the video before "reharmonization technique" book, but I am going to say that the online course covers way more stuff than that book and is organized in a very systematic and fomulate way. I am in week five now and already learned tons of stuff. I really recommand you to take the course in the future if possible, it will boost your knowledge about harmony to the next level.

Thanks Wu, I think I would enjoy that course too. Perhaps when I can find more time. Tell the truth I almost took it before but was a little intimidated by it and took something else. But the one I took instead was useful too. It's all good!

This is a great video. Thanks for all the tips. I enrolled in a course after seeing your other review video on Berklee Online. Now with this one, I made sure to save all the course content and homeworks / assignments.

That's great! I actually wish I had done a better job of documenting some things. The problem is while doing the courses, you just get busy just doing the assignments. Good luck with everything!

Hello, me here again, thank you for your replying and I have one more question about the course you mentioned you have taken before, the counterpoint course. Because I am also considering taking this course next semester but I am not sure whether this is taught in a classical way or modern way, is this course designed for writing modern music or just writing classical style? I am concerning if this course would actually be useful to write for modern film music, pop music or game music stuff, thank you very much!

I really have nothing to compare it with but I seem to remember there were lots of classical music examples. They are just such good timeless examples. However the course is very practical. I loved that course if it's the same one. Here's what I submitted for my final assignment and I think I got an A or A- for the whole course. soundcloud.com/john-chamley-82089696/christmas-time

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and I really love your composition of the final assignment, especially the guitar part. @@GuitarBasement

I have to believe they would be good. Although you may be able to take a bunch of lessons with a good private teacher for the same price. The good thing with Berkley is that it forces you to work hard and make progress - or you'll waste your money and not pass! As long as you meet the prerequisites and you like what the course teaches I would just take it. As you know too, you get to interact with other students and can compare their progress with your own. Good luck if you decide to take it!
