Once again - I'm lost for word that describe John's live performances. The band, the backing group - and of course John's voice is fantastic.
We in Australia live in a very free country and sometimes take it for granted. It’s a song like this just to remind us of what an amazing country we live in. Thanks for you reaction and love from Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺 ❤
If John Farnham’s voice doesn’t give you chills!!?, you’re not alive!!! ❤❤❤❤
I love John and the entire band!
The long haired guitarist with the red shirt is Jack Jones! He is the lead singer and guitarist for the band Southern Sons! You gotta react to them! I recommend Heart in danger! Jack has one of the smoothest voice I’ve ever heard! ❤❤❤
I'm sure Tina Turner would be honoured to be compared to our Farnsy, who, by the way can sing ANYTHING.
Tina Turner heard John's version of the Beatle's "Help" and recorded it herself - about three or four years after John's.
She certainly knew of his talent..
One heart, one love ♥♥♥Your face said more than any words ever can. John and Tina would have smashed this out the ball park. John and the band always enjoyed performing together.
John always makes us feel good listening to his music
I agree george
Definitely the Voice of the World 🌎 ❤️
John's music worked so well because everything he sang was honest and full of emotion or meaning...and he also had a great sense of humor which he shared with his audience and his band. He never took himself seriously...although that's kind of an Aussie thing lol. Just love your 'reaction' to John's videos.....Am off to share this link with his fan page.
Very true 👍
I need it every day! Can't wait a week.
haaaaaaa I felt like something was missing you know.
Thank you for the trip down memory lane. I forgot how awesome John is… he turned 75 a couple of days ago, and is reportedly doing well.
Thanks for the reaction mate I’ll send in some more requests soon. John all ways delivers and outstanding performance 😊
Appreciate it Johnnnnnyyyyyy
@@CVTECK1 Suggest you check out his audio cover of "Black Dog', he only ever used it as a Mic. check but an engineer recorded in secret. It's unbelievable, may be better than the Led Zepplin original .
What can you say John Farnham G.O.A.T. Always gives 100 percent
Mate you’ve found another Farnsey gem , altho they are all gems 😊 great reaction ❤
Thank you 😁 right they all good lol can't go wrong with John
Thank you for your reaction and appreciation of my all time favourite singer/performer/band! Please listen to and share many more…there is 5 decades worth of his hit songs!!!
P.S. John and his band are always really into every one of his songs!!! He is an awesome performer! The best ❤!
Looking forward to it. One of my favourite John Farnham songs.
Tina and another Aussie Jimmy Barns sang together they were great ❤ Simply the best ….
will do Rose
Thank you 😊
Yes! Probably my favourite Farnsey song - it's just so catchy, infectious and positive.
I love John and this dude can't really do a bad song.
Just love your reactions to John Farnham. Your face says it all. Yep, this whole concert was very upbeat and much fun. And his songs are always full of great messages and sung with such passion. He certainly believed in what he was singing. And we were right there with him.
And you're spot on with Tina Turner feeling...his back up singer Venetta Fields was one of Tina Turners original IKETTE's so you are possibly picking up her voice in the background which sounds a lot like Tina Turner 😉
Thank you for the kind words Carolyn. I just simply love John and i understand what every has been saying he is the "VOICE" my god. Ohhh i did not know the back singer had ties with Tina OMG. some people said to react to Venetta Fields national Anthem i think i will look into it.
Love your love of John. You're officially an honourary Aussie. Welcome mate ❤
Wow, thank you i'm Honored nikki.
You have been touched by the Voice my brother and it’s amazing watching you feel the love of our greatest singer ever!!
I’ve seen him live and Nothing compares to John 🙏👏👏👏 🇦🇺 like Nikki said you are now an Australian 🇦🇺
No sorry needed👍I’d replay it too…😀GOAT STATUS‼️
I appreciate that
This is my favourite Farnsey song!! 🐨🐨 Great reaction!!
thanks Kazza
Have a listen to him singing Led Zeppelin's 'Black Dog' as a sound check.
Hi, new subscriber, recently discovered your reactions. Love the awe & respect you show for John. As an Aussie it is so heart-warming to see others (particularly non-Aussies) discover John and appreciate his talents the way we have done for decades. 👏 Would love to see you react to his 2003 live performance of When The War Is Over - a truly spectacular vocal. Cheers
I'm at work so I missed the live stream sadly. Great reaction, it's one of my favourites of John's songs, especially live. You're so right, he really does get into it. ❤
No worries! Tania hope your doing well
Thanks for your great reaction to our beloved John. Please react to the live version of John singing All In Love Is Fair (a Stevie Wonder song). It is so beautifully sublime & John's voice & emotion are pure perfection. Much love from Australia 🇦🇺💕
Thanks for the love and John is just Amazing on stage his voice and his kindness.
A lot of John's music always brings a positive message and I hear you, Tina Turner would be really suited to the chorus.
💗💗💗that you did this song! It’s second behind my Reasons! Now go check out the Acoustic version of this song! Sharing this on our Farnham group page!
will do Jenny thanks i love Acoustic stuff so thanks!
You should react to the documentary trailer about him that’s just come out in theatres! His story is amazing.
Edited to add, Tina and he released a single together! They were good friends (RIP Tina).
I don't know if any one else has told you in the comments but Jack Jones, on guitar in this song, ended up having his own band, Southern Sons. Look them up. They are really good too. They had a few hits here but unfortunately too many people said he was trying to sound like our John and then things went south for the band. They still do the circuit though and I am actually going to see them next week at the Melbourne Casino.
Great reaction. This was actually written by American Tom Kimmel as a 4th July patriotic song. John has left out a verse to make it different. But to me, it is still a better version because John's voice is so much better. Both Tom and John have a video release of the song. You should have a look for yourself. Cheers.❤️🔥
Thanks for the info Wren i will look for it and see!
This is one of my top Farnsey tracks. I’m praying for him 😢
This is a goodie❤
Don't forget , the song Gesthamene from Jesus Christ Superstar that Farnsey sang and this song although not my favourite shows his vocal ability to the max.
Brilliant performance ,it was live because it is actually a play on stage that lasted quite awhile.
Definitely the King of Anthems. These days it seems those legendary songs no longer exist but his WILL.
I think you’re right. Tina Turner would sound good in this…as far as I know the closest thing to that that there is is Jimmy Barnes and Tina Turner doing a version of her song “Simply the Best”. Jimmy’s and Tina’s voices go together probably better than Jimmy’s and John’s IMO. It was recorded because the rugby league here wanted to use it as a promotional song for their competition. Was a perfect song for the promo way back then
dude johns music is timeless brother
I get it now Mata
Love that you listen to the words
A week is waaaaay too long between John's songs LOL
Great point that Tina Turner would have sounded great with John, totally agree. Two awesome voices together.
Interestingly, one of John's backing singers, Venetta Fields was a singer with Ike and Tina Turner.
Yes it was! I just been told about Venetta Fields and i din't know they even knew each other wow
If you haven’t already you should check out “let me out and chain reaction” especially chain reaction live with awesome harmonica solo.
One on my favs
so good
❤❤❤
You should do Gethsemane and Grenada with Anthony Warlow!
They really show his versatility.
Vendetta Fields (one of the backup singers) sang with Ike and Tina Turner; so your feeling of that vibe fits well.
Someone just told me that wow. i might have to seach up Tina and Miss Fields
Venetta!!
@@noirjacques3274 I think I was the victim of autocorrect.
@@mjustjeanette7026 🙏- I get what you mean. There are times it can be a pest, eh! 👍
Watch Anthony Warlow and John Farnham the main event Granada it will bring a smile to your face
Tina and John would have been great in this song! !!!!!
Guitarist is Jack Jones. Gotta hear him sing as well.
He's known as Baby John because he sounds like him. Jack was only 19 here too. Love John and his band so much. They are the best ❤❤
You thought that song was good, from the same concert, listen to “In Your Hands”!! I can’t put it down; the live version is INCREDIBLE!!
Great reaction ❤
Thanks Stacey
Great reaction as always. You should check out jimmy barnes and tina turner doing simply the best together its the best xx
Added! Thanks Jane
If you want to hear John Farnham using his full range (3.2 octaves) then review John performing 'Gesthemene' from Jesus Christ Superstar. There are 2 versions on YT. The later one is best. Once again, Live and on a revolving stage. Truly Awesome. (1992 Australian cast - Sydney final night)
Farnsey bringing it!
As always bro.
No one in Australia or America would sign John because they said he didn’t fit. They were wrong and John proved that with over 5 decades of music. He wasn’t happy taking over the lead singers role either. The Little River Band thought they were so much better than John and they kept getting angry because he wouldn’t keep still and sing. John doesn’t know how to stand still. They did things like shortening all of his microphone cords and taping the stand to the floor. I haven’t listened to any of their songs since then. John has never put himself above anyone else on that stage and they were fools.
I think you missed where the santa hat came from, check out 5:55 ,cheers
ahhh i see it great catch John lol... Thanks Mattallen
Hello my friend.Nice reaction.
May i drop a suggestion here?
It's "Am i the one" by Beth Hart, live at Paradiso Amsterdam 2004.
(specifically this performance)
It's jaw dropping trust me!
Thanks!
will do and i will add it to my list
@@CVTECK1 perfect,thank you!👌
Have a listen to the original by Ross Wilson.
I prefer John Farnham version better than Tom Kimmel original version, although both are great singers.
No need for Tina
