Angel Reese has nothing to do with the attention the wnba got this year... It was all Clark and they still lost 40 million dollars. This league is a welfare Unearned alimony dumpster fire and it's way past time to get rid of it. It is just funded by the nba which means the men are funding it while these goofballs complain about them and the women have never been profitable. So they are opting out of the Charity Bargaining Agreement 🙄🙄🙄🙄

He forgets that the ratings were up in the games Catlin Clark played in. She can't play on every team and every night, so your logic doesn't work. You also failed to mention that WNBA has been losing money since their conception. This was their best year, and they still lost $40 million dollars. If this was ESPN, you would be out of a job.

You can’t lose 100’s of millions of dollars in the past 20 years and have one good year where you still lose $50m and think you deserve more and have leverage. They owe all the investors that have invested in this league in the past 20 years before they can even think about making more. My personal opinion is they should be cut off and try and survive on income from what the wnba creates on their own. Give them their 50% of all revenue and see if this league will be able to survive

WNBA players has no right to opt out of CBA because the rise in attendance and media views was accomplished in spite of what they did. I can appreciate all the rivalry but the amount of hate comments, not getting Olympic team, the hard fouls, and the non-basketball hits that CC has endured is like they wanted to sabotage the work in building the league. Now they want to reap the benefits.
They demand things that they are actively demeaning and not actually contributed to. And now they are building a rival league on top of that.

I been using your quote " rising tide raises all ships " on everybody's pods .... Which I did here you say that 1st .... now or next offseason when they do the new cba is when the clark effect really kicks in for the players pay .... they still got 1 season left to build even more leverage in the negotiations ... clark truly does want to grow everybody's $$$$$

New, and old fans said it...Even men speaking from an "end game" perspective chanted this from the roof tops..but got told to be quiet. Now here we are......Just think if they lowered the rim a foot UNTIL the time arrives when their athletes have evolved to incorporate excitement of game play at that level in the paint and not just long bomb shots......but again they will not listen as its more of their pockets and pride versus entertainment, excitement, and fan generation.

Totally agree with Steven A. The league saw growth in one year and immediately demand more. That's too soon. If they do it right, if there's major growth for the second and third consecutive year, then they can ask for more.

The fact that Caitlyn Clark was met with some resistance from her peers actually made things more interesting.
Had the rest of the league not challenged her and the narrative that she was some sort of savior, it wouldn’t have generated as much buzz, media coverage, and casual fans would’ve continued to not watch.
