11:20 except that it was...as i learned from forgotten weapons, people get a misconception that the sherman was a poor fighter against other tanks which couldnt be further from the truth. The main gun of the sherman for late war models had the newly installed 76 millimeter main gun and was actually the same caliber as the british 17 pound gun, the ammo casing was just different so ammo was not interchangeable. This gun was also used for TANK DESTROYERS, which if you say tank destroyers cant fight against other tanks then idk... cant reason with you i guess.

Very early tigers had reliability issues due to the aluminum engine block. But once they switched to the HL230 engine, reliability was fine. However, they were high maintenance. And Germany suffered from very poor fuel, which caused the engines to run poorly depending on the fuel quality. The T-34 was simple, cheap to build, and did not require a high level of maintenance. But it was not an overly reliable tank. The Soviets were actually happy when they captured Panzer IV and Stug tanks because these were extremely reliable. But when capturing Panthers or Tigers, they would drive them till they broke, then leave them. And this was typically because they did not properly maintain them, as they had no reason to.
That is a myth.. there are plenty of books that say otherwise. They leaked, the crew compartments were cramp and the crews were usually fatigued, other systems could fail.... They could actually leave the tank, and depending on where they were could jump in a new one. The armor also had plenty of weld deficiencies.
The original sherman M4 tank with its original 75mm cannon maybe wasnt ment specifically to take out the enemy tanks but im sure later, longer 76mm was (11.21).
nope - Eisenhower was very specific in what he wanted from his armor, and it was NOT to go toe to toe with enemy armor, it was to exploit breaches in enemy defenses. He had air and artillery to deal with enemy armor, especially when the allies had air superiority after Normandy.
The Panzer III did not start the war with a low-velocity 50 mm gun. What a silly mistake. It actually started the war with the Kwk 36 l/45 37 mm high-velocity gun.

I honestly am confused in thinking this building construction vehicle type noise(dont know the name sorry XD) is actually due to the added Feiffel air filters on the tiger 1 for the conditions of the typical African terrain
15:15 The Tiger despite its size and weight is not heard loud if you were in front would think it is a truck and you would get the surprise that it is a tank
Hey, everybody on the planet wants your Leopard 2 tanks so you can still feel proud about what you make. And in Ukraine, the German Leopards are fighting the Russian T-90s just like the good old days.
T34, m4sherman,IS-1,IS-2,t34-85,KV-1,KV-1S,KV-85,KV2, SU122,SU 152,ISU152,M10 wildcat, wolverine, m4a2 sherman,m4a3e8 Sherman, Sherman firefly, Churchill mark vii, comet, and some more anyone want to add some i missed anyways many many tanks could knock out a tiger 1 shortly after 1941 and shortly after 1942 and onwards the only real issue was this and it was a big big issue, the range at which you could knock out a tiger was drastically reduced, to put it short the tiger could knock out any tank prior to 1943 and after with very few exceptions with the ranges, the tiger was able to score a hit of 75% and higher of ranges around 2000 yards with its highly accurate KW.k(kampfwagen kannone) 36(year 1936 mass produced) L/56( length of barrel 56 times the diameter of the shell) not to mention its highly sophisticated optics the turmzieffehrnrohr 9b and c optics site giving 2.5x and later 5 x magnification '' Otto carius said we could see our enemies at 3 km and we could fire at 2 km'' , tanks that were prepared for the up armored German AFV's such as the firefly, m4a3e8,m4a2a1,churchill mark vii, IS-1,IS-2 and so on were able to compete with the tiger 1 but again going further as to say compete it in close to fair terms, the tiger could still knock out tanks like the firefly at 2000 yards and the firefly could knock out the tiger at 1700 yards the other tanks mentioned performed similarly tho slightly less or better (please post some combat ranges for others to see thanks:)
If i remember correctly the most superior tank in terms of raw firepower was the devastating IS-1 and IS-2( IS=IOSEPH STALIN) soviet tanks with their DST-122 guns, if i am correct it was this gun that easily through sheer brute force rather than penetration punched right through the tiger 1 frontal, side, rear, turret, turret mantlet armor at ranges of 2100 and more yards of course depending on the regions of the tank and the shells trajectory with some parts either pierced at lower or longer ranges, this was accomplished with the size of the shell to the tiger 1's relative armor thickness even if it were to mahlteidshtell ( let me know if it is spelled correctly:) = position the tank to the 1 o clock position effectively increasing the effective armor thickness of the tank, this being around 30 degrees or so to the right or left of the front of the tank
so even after correcting its position to further strengthen its armor, the tiger's armor after receiving such a devastatingly large shell, the moment of impact will completely combust, crack, break the armor rather than pierce it that is why when tiger tanks were hit by larger shells in general, did not have a clean sleight of a hole indicating a shell pierce but rather a large opening with the sides surrounding the opening having cracks, tears, and internal scars within the armor...............poor men i cant imagine what it is like inside after being hit by something that is able to completely recreate a rabbit hole like appearance when hit and further crack all around that 100 (and slightly more due to production differences) of armor....poor poor men

That Sherman with Fury put on the cannon it was in the movie called FURY
notice how each british tank that comes on the squeaking becomes even louder
k
nice video; audio is overwhelmed by tank engines at times, but you can't blame the video maker for that
Wonder if they have an Italian tank, 1 forward, and 5 reverse gears.
rickym49 guys thats the French, the Italians had 1 forward gear and 0 other gears as their gear was always the worst for the situation
One molotov it's enough to destroy and debilitate your tanks.
Try to ask to a folgore division
That's Rita and Jingles by the barrier at the start, right?
The tiger looks so brutal!!
Great video!
Something wrong here. The driver of HMH802 doesn't seem to be brewing tea, even though the tank is parked.
No pasaran .
The Tiger is a driving bunker... you can sense the armour and thickness of these turret walls... inpenentrable.
Imagine being an allied tanker and hearing the Tiger's rumble and roar in the distance.
1M0RTAL_CH1CKEN they knew the sound and were preparing for death
1M0RTAL_CH1CKEN imagine hearing about 20 of them
With out air support the American tankers know their screwed.
@ - That's what happened at the Battle of the Bulge in '44...
As a little kid in New Zealand in the 1960's there was a Valentine Tank in the local Limestone quarry which was a great place for us to play war games on . 😁 i think the Quarry owners had a pair of them.
ITS A LIVING LEGEND IT TRAUMATISED SO MANY SOLDIERS
Poor guys those who had to fight against this monster !
Is that a Mathilda 1, or WallE? Amazing there's one left over.
Here you can see and maybe imagine the Tiger Fear!!!!
After reading all the comments below, I wonder...why 90% of them refer only to the Tiger 131 ? I thought this was a British show of British armour that included one or two foreign tanks, but it's surprising to find out that most of this video's viewers only had eyes for the German Tiger !
Star Gazer I like em all!
We know what we like and we like our Cats.
The leopard is the off spring of the Tiger! The Tiger will never die!
I thinks also the Panther
True
Is that the actual Sherman from the movie fury
And i can see TheMightyJingles filming hahahahaaa saw his videos of these
Great footage - thank you for sharing!
if only they ware more numerous and reliable
T34 may have been more simple to repair
Imo only problem with the tigers was they needed more maintenance than other tanks and they drunk fuel like a fish in a time of overall fuel shortage.
That is a myth.. there are plenty of books that say otherwise. They leaked, the crew compartments were cramp and the crews were usually fatigued, other systems could fail.... They could actually leave the tank, and depending on where they were could jump in a new one. The armor also had plenty of weld deficiencies.
Ivan Ivanovsky Ivanovich german tanks were reliable, they weren't easily repaired tho
what was for a soldier to see a tiger comming to them?
lool when the king tiger appears, there is a guy waving the nazi salute at it XD
There are still a lot with nazi beliefs I service diggers cars and basically all wished they had dropped arms and joined the Nazis
It's just a tiger, not king tiger
The original sherman M4 tank with its original 75mm cannon maybe wasnt ment specifically to take out the enemy tanks but im sure later, longer 76mm was (11.21).
nope - Eisenhower was very specific in what he wanted from his armor, and it was NOT to go toe to toe with enemy armor, it was to exploit breaches in enemy defenses. He had air and artillery to deal with enemy armor, especially when the allies had air superiority after Normandy.
21:33 you see the face of driver
Tremendous... Would you mind telling us the camera that you used for this video? Terrific fun...
*15:11** is what u came for*
Can they move the Tiger 1's turret?
15:11 appearance of his majesty The Tiger 🐅
IS-2s f**d them in numbers till the end of the war
The Panzer III did not start the war with a low-velocity 50 mm gun. What a silly mistake. It actually started the war with the Kwk 36 l/45 37 mm high-velocity gun.
Nope, no 50 mm low-velocity gun was ever installed in this tank - non-experimentally, at least.
some time they should saw us a full speed test tiger
They're worried abou the engine getting damaged or destroyed.
Hero of the show : TIGER!
@peace warrior NO
That is not the last Tiger alive btw, there is still Tiger II (King Tiger).
And then came the Tiger!
Recommend time 21:15. Tiger drives up to and right by the camera. You can see why infantry would be spooked by such a noisy but intimidating chunk of steel. Thanks to the British Tank Museum for keeping such a piece of history in working order!!
I honestly am confused in thinking this building construction vehicle type noise(dont know the name sorry XD) is actually due to the added Feiffel air filters on the tiger 1 for the conditions of the typical African terrain
"Тигр" и сейчас завораживает и внушает уважение. Почти уверен, что он большей части всех тех танков навалял бы, кроме "Леопард"
Может и ис -2 то же наваляет, и армаде
Are all the Engines original? Aare there any Details to the Engines?
AWESOME MAN!!! HISTORY.
15:15 The Tiger despite its size and weight is not heard loud if you were in front would think it is a truck and you would get the surprise that it is a tank
Mariano Castillo : Different at night.
The Germans must have been scared of Matilda one.
the funny thing is at first they were, in the battle of France the Germans didn't have anything that could penetrate it
@@chriscryer7087 - Till Rommel thought of using the 88mm. flak cannon as tank-buster...! That day the Matilda died.
What a brilliant sound track I can't imagine how terrifying coming up against a tiger would be
Well I hope you include Tiger 131 in Tiger day
I see the Tiger...
First thought... Damn, we Germans were good in building vehicles once😂
@Bish Bash nice 😂
Hey, everybody on the planet wants your Leopard 2 tanks so you can still feel proud about what you make. And in Ukraine, the German Leopards are fighting the Russian T-90s just like the good old days.
I wanna ask you all. What tank was able to defeat tiger 1?
If i remember correctly the most superior tank in terms of raw firepower was the devastating IS-1 and IS-2( IS=IOSEPH STALIN) soviet tanks with their DST-122 guns, if i am correct it was this gun that easily through sheer brute force rather than penetration punched right through the tiger 1 frontal, side, rear, turret, turret mantlet armor at ranges of 2100 and more yards of course depending on the regions of the tank and the shells trajectory with some parts either pierced at lower or longer ranges, this was accomplished with the size of the shell to the tiger 1's relative armor thickness even if it were to mahlteidshtell ( let me know if it is spelled correctly:) = position the tank to the 1 o clock position effectively increasing the effective armor thickness of the tank, this being around 30 degrees or so to the right or left of the front of the tank
so even after correcting its position to further strengthen its armor, the tiger's armor after receiving such a devastatingly large shell, the moment of impact will completely combust, crack, break the armor rather than pierce it that is why when tiger tanks were hit by larger shells in general, did not have a clean sleight of a hole indicating a shell pierce but rather a large opening with the sides surrounding the opening having cracks, tears, and internal scars within the armor...............poor men i cant imagine what it is like inside after being hit by something that is able to completely recreate a rabbit hole like appearance when hit and further crack all around that 100 (and slightly more due to production differences) of armor....poor poor men
I saw a real tiger tank once.
