Fly over to Bovington, I’ll help you pinch an engine 😜 Really enjoyed this episode. Cracking job and what a result. Hope you get all the parts you need to bring it back to working order. Looking forward to the next episode where you finish it. Great work, best viewing all month.
Very soulful release. This mechanic is very sensitive and loving towards his creations. Master, no less. He breathed a second life into this relic of terrible times. So simply beautiful.
Let's take a moment... Not only did the Germans make things that have stood the test of time relatively well... but these boys are pure funking geniuses being able to get this all together!
I take my hat off to you guy’s. excellent job. Being an ex body builder of armoured trucks, I understand how much work goes into restoring these tanks. Keep up the good work.
Even after 80 years of technical progress, this Tiger 1 tank still impresses by his massive presence and the aura of physical enforcement together with some kind of majesty which transpire, reaching our imagination. Impressive work you have done to rebuild this engin from scratch. Nevertheless, we should keep in mind that it is a killing machine, built to serve an despictable ideology.
That was an awesome video. I saw the fake Tiger and the turret when I visited the museum but on the day I couldn't see into the workshop, I think they were working on the Nashorn.
The entire production was impressive from start to finish. The editing was very well done, particularly the "Swan Lake" portion! Incredible work done by Glenn, Beau and all involved with the massive task of bringing this beautiful armoured beast back to form! Loved every second of this video. Very much look forward to the zimmerit application and seeing it move around under it's own power. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
It's so amazing that people put in hard work and tremendous effort to restore this awesome piece of engineering just for history, just because they can and are passionate about it.
Thank Aus Armour for this episode of complete restoration of Tiger 1. As one of a collector of Panzer parts, I know how hard to find and collect those original part of Tiger 1.🤔 I am so happy to know that you didn't over paint the original kill rings on the barrel. 😊 So glad this Tiger 1 finally found her peaceful resting place.👍
Loved seeing all the exhibits when I was there last week & as a bonus I got to say g'day to a few of the guys. The Open Hatch tour was really interesting, old mate who did the talking was very knowledgeable & i learnt some new things for sure. I got to see the panzer IV G started & get driven around the track outside. Kurt even opened the viewing platform up so we could go outside & watch. Thanks to all the crew there, I would highly recommend a visit.
Kurt, i have to admit, you have done as good a job on this video as the boys did putting her together, loved it. When Beau was talking about the chassis number, i choked a bit as well seeing him getting to grips with where he was sitting. I wonder, how many folk have asked for a job with you guy's since these videos have been aired? Long may they continue.
I'll be honest, seeing the original chassis number getting welded in, was bringing tears. Its like now its so much more real. Plus the history of the young man who died in it.
These guys are awesome. Love how Bo works and his laugh and jokes. Makes this old man happy to see them work hard and enjoy what they do. I watch a lot of Tank rebullds and Aus-Armor is the best quality, good music, great narrative. No other tank rebuild show can compete. I also appreciate the work of the filmer - he narrates well, with great selection of music and good film of the project. I am an American and got into 1/16 scale tanks and Aus-Armor is a fun learning experience. Cheers to all of you and Bo's Dad, and all the other builders..
I'm absolutely blown away by all the work you guys, have put into this... I have always had a hard time figuring out the shear size of a tiger, but seeing it towed by a Leopard tank, makes it stand out as a huge tank. i can understand why it was a shock when the Allied forces meet this beast in the battlefields.🙂 Loving you workshop wednesdays series, greetings from Denmark...😉👍

Amazing work, well done to everyone involved. It makes you realise the amount of work and complexity involved in building a Tiger. Amazing the Germans were able to do this and maintain them under war time conditions.

@@medical_tomato1206 I mostly think that the tiger(s) were a mistake due to the production cost/difficulties, coupled with how tanks are often lost without contributing much. What I mean is that a tiger is great in battle, and has the potential to destroy several enemies before itself getting destroyed, but it could just as well just get penetrated in the side, or by simply a big gun from the front, or it could be bombed, or it could just break down and have to be abandoned. Just focussing efforts on producing panzer 4s and cheaper tank destroyers would have probably made more sense. My comment may have been a bit rambly, sorry about that :D
Lovely to get the whole story in one sitting, great to see it all again! Wonderful projects & great, quality work! Best wishes & compliments to the whole crew. . Always lovely to see the craftsmanship, pride in the work, ATD in the repairs, no matter how large or small. The respect & commitment to retaining everything & anything Possible, for the history in every piece. I had two repair careers, in far smaller items, and watching you all go at it the way you do has my deepest respect. The projects with the deepest history are always the most rewarding & humbling, i can only imagine what you all feel as you find all those bits of history, battle damage & hints of prior hands during the work.
I can only imagine how hard getting parts for this would be. I had a discussion with a team who restore tanks in Europe for a museum collection, they are currently restoring a Panther lost on the Western Front, according to him the Russians have a near complete monopoly on the market making finding original parts very difficult. So kudos to your team, the tank looks amazing.
Even though it is hard work and takes ages, I can only imagine how great it must feel working on such amazing historical projects, especially when such a beautiful piece starts coming together. Thanks for including us in the process. Hats off to the guys working on the tanks. Its not everyday when I see such talented craftmanship. Truly masterclass. Well done gents! This Tiger is a massive credit to your museum and for what it once represented during WWII, even if we consider it belonged to a formidable enemy - its uncovered story does indeed conjure up emotions knowing that its radio operator was killed, very sad but you wonder what impact it may have inflicted on the Allies before its demise Extraordinary work done by your team, i have nothing but admiration for them and their detailed work, its an honour to watch and these videos help to create an everlasting visual document to its ongoing history, your team effort and the work done on her deserve much pride, amazing efforts You mentioned that level of detail near the beginning, the German engineering and efficiency, i guess what with the eventual forced labour, the detail began to fade on where items were located, we cannot forget all those that were forced to work in such hard conditions being threatened with their lives and those that did perish, its near impossible to fathom the numbers involved from the man power right back to those mining the raw materials that drove the mighty German war machine
It is just amazing how you were able to restore the tank with so little to work with in terms of original parts. Your expertise and hard work to rebuild the Tiger with such extremely damaged and rusted pieces is just incredible. It is too bad so few tanks were preserved after the war as museum pieces and instead most were destroyed for scrap metal.

It's seems like a lot of work, 👨🏼🏭👷🏼♂️but you are creating something that in hundreds⌛ of years from now, people will be admiring your work👍
Tremendous work by all the team. The pride and dedication shines out, can’t wait to see the finished Tiger running.
Always awesome! I'm a 58 year old system engineer with absolutely no mechanical skills. I stop at painting. "Man's got to know his limitations." Would love just to hang out in the shop and watch...fascinating stuff being a WW2 buff. Incredible work people! Peace!
Oh wow, I really did just sit a whole Hour watching this.
Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. Thank you for showing me such a wonderful supercut :)
This is amazing, it's nice to see history kept alive for the world to study. Though the tiger isn't my favorite tank, it's still a tank that was ahead of it's time in alot of ways.
It was king when tanks ruled the wars.
Tiger 1, le plus beau char du monde 😮💨
Incredible. The original crew are applauding you guys. What a finished piece. Mark
Seeing this tank come to life from literal scraps is beautiful, just remarkable
Guys…….greetings from Germany i was 60minutes like „oh my god“
This is the craziest handmade craft that i have seen the Last 5 years
Cant describe my feelings for this incredible work
😳👍🏻
I recall seeing the early Tiger I commanders cupola relic during a visit in 2016 thinking how cool is that and thats as close as Im likely to get to seeing the real thing. Until my next visit...
This was so fascinating I didn't even realize an entire hour passed!
Fly over to Bovington, I’ll help you pinch an engine 😜 Really enjoyed this episode. Cracking job and what a result. Hope you get all the parts you need to bring it back to working order. Looking forward to the next episode where you finish it. Great work, best viewing all month.
Kurt, I hope that you guys create similar "Supercut" videos on your other restorations. This was fantastic!
Love the workmanship on the tiger
All the little details credit to you
All the man hours that were put into it
All the best from Ireland 🇮🇪

...Australia's first 'Titanic' project! Sorry we're a little late!
Restoring a piece of History, what an undertaking, the results are nothing short of amazing.
A history of gunning down civilians and unarmed tank crews.
Man that was over 80 years ago quit beating a dead horse and let the past go
Thank Aus Armour for this episode of complete restoration of Tiger 1. As one of a collector of Panzer parts, I know how hard to find and collect those original part of Tiger 1.🤔
I am so happy to know that you didn't over paint the original kill rings on the barrel. 😊 So glad this Tiger 1 finally found her peaceful resting place.👍
It's not a T34 .
@@dirkdreier3959 Really?
At the End the scene where the younger Brother helps his Older Brother is just lovely to see
The end literally brought a tear to my eye. Coming up from Vic to see the museum soon!
Agreed the Oz work in this museum and the production values is way ahead of any such channel
Amazing Job !! Salute - Massive RESPECT from Germany !
Australia delivers! She'll be ready for you to pick up on Firday at 1700HRS, Herr ;) Greetings from Downunder.
Thanks for that, there are not much Tigers in this condition available. Respect! Greetings from Germany!
seeing this tank restored im excited, i think ill goose step down driveway
I'm absolutely blown away by all the work you guys, have put into this... I have always had a hard time figuring out the shear size of a tiger, but seeing it towed by a Leopard tank, makes it stand out as a huge tank. i can understand why it was a shock when the Allied forces meet this beast in the battlefields.🙂
Loving you workshop wednesdays series, greetings from Denmark...😉👍
I am looking forward to seeing the Tiger roar back to life!
You have put a lot of hard work into the restoration, and done a beautiful job!
Unfortunately it's only a static display and doesn't have anything inside like engine and all the rest that goes inside a tiger
@@leongt1954 too bad, but still, it will look great when finished!
@@treadheadpete4770 I was there a couple of weeks ago and a Tiger with No 114 was on display. I believe this is the one in this video. They also have a replica Tiger No 555 and a prop turret both used in the movie "Fury". There is also a Panther there.
Yes, I can't wait to see the project to make 250771 a runner too.
Unbelievably proud. The patience, craftsmanship and dedication ? A feat one should be extremely proud of. Also the short detailed story about what happened ? A beautiful tribute to you all who perished in this horrible conflict. If l ever come down under, l swear l’ll be witnessing your team’s amazing achi😢first hand. Respect, and then some. Hrtz, Erik, Belgium.
There was something very ‘stilling’ for me in watching this….at no point did i forget that it was a war machine psychologically like few others but i was riveted ! To the seat watching this and the filming/production was absolutely on the button - top tier filming etc. The young man was extremely engaging and the strange glamour of the tiger ….i havent had this combination of emotions before as there was also a sense of hope and anticipation…just amazing. Thanks.
just amazing dedication and hard work to get this famous tank "all back together" = well done to everyone involved. best wishes from Lincolnshire UK
Who could ask for a better father son project? I’m so glad I made it to this part of UA-cam. Keep up the good work, guys. What you do is amazing.
Enjoy all the vids but this one was special. Great work from all the team and a special pat on the back for the young ones who weren't even alive when these monsters ruled the earth.
Wow, what an accomplishment! As an Australian with parents from Hamburg it is awesome to see this exists, can't wait to visit!
liked/subbed/commented. This channel is in my top 1-percent of high-value internet content today. Thank you.
Compliment fantastic restauration very very good
Got to say that was the best hour I have spent in a long time
I am at what you can build out of scrap metal
All your guys there are unbelievable trades people
The leopard was the main battle tank when I was in the army
Even though we still had centurions at wodonga
I nearly ended up at puck a to be a tech but went to 161 and played with helicopters instead
Can’t wait for next Wednesday 😍😍👍👍👍
Amazing work, well done to everyone involved. It makes you realise the amount of work and complexity involved in building a Tiger. Amazing the Germans were able to do this and maintain them under war time conditions.
they were also building jet planes ICBMs and were halfway to the atom bomb. busy little beavers
Yes I was thinking of the overnight mechanicing which the crews had to do…every day as i understand….pity it was so complex but what a blooming machine
I found this video by accident but I'm so glad I did! A like and subscribe just doesn't feel enough, I'm making plans to come and see your museum as soon as I can.
Thank you all for your efforts.
WOW! Can't get enough of this cool video! Thanks, guys! The Tiger was a beautiful tank.
Eine erstklassige Arbeit von einem erstklassigen Team!!👍👍👍
Ja, und Sehr gut!!
You guys have brought back a piece of history. Was state of the art in 1940. And one of the best tanks of the war.
I hope you meant to say "the 1940s" since this tank entered production in 1942, not 1940. Also, best tanks? Really?
@@EneTheGene well with all the hard factors it would easily be the best but then arrives the soft factors some its good in other tho... but the gun was easily state of the art through out most if the war
The Russians are probably getting a few out of storage to replace the T72s in Ukraine!
Can't the pieces done in an artisanal way? Schematics exist, it would probably be less expenssive than trying to find original parts.
@@Kanovskiy ha, what an ignoramus you are.
I'm very impressed with the effort you've put into the restoration and I hope you can continue with the interior. All credit to the restoration team!
Looking forward to watching your other projects as they progress. Keep up the great work!
Having visited Tiger 131 a few times I can truly appreciate your true dedication passion professionalism and skill. To get this running would be the pinnacle of this restoration. Two running Tiger one's. I take my hat off to you guys, so proud of you. Congratulations.
Agreed. Will it run on original engine?
I thought he said the other tiger look alike was used in fury. But I'm pretty sure it was 131 from bovington. Not sure if he meant from Kelly's heroes or some other movie? Anyway excellent work guys.
@@madhatter38m I think he meant they have 2 Tigers. The other one is not an original or is partly original (minimally original). This one is the real deal. Their even putting an original engine in it. God knows how though.
@@madhatter38m, 131 was used in Fury and the films Kelly's Heroes /Saving Private Ryan were T34 (tiger) mockups. The saving Private Ryan (Tiger) is at Duxford IWM.
@@143AD haha, I was wondering that myself. Those engines aren't just rusting away in storehouses somewhere. He just confused me cause he said the Mock tiger used in Fury...
I have seen footage of a Tiger 1 as a range target and a British 17pdr going through like butter. It is amazing what you are doing to restore these jewels of history! The part about the young man killed in that tank hit home the human side that is the true tragedy of war!
Nice music selection! Bach, Strauss beat fourth line guitar riffs any time!
Thanks for restoring my tank
I'm a run of tha mill Heavy Engineer Boilermaker, and I can tell you that I am sweating just watching the time lapse of this re- build. I take my hat off, and everything else to you guys remaking this Awesome machine !! What a labor of love it would have been !
Though this vid is longer than normal it is well worth it just to see these lads work on such an iconic tank
This Tiger is a massive credit to your museum and for what it once represented during WWII, even if we consider it belonged to a formidable enemy - its uncovered story does indeed conjure up emotions knowing that its radio operator was killed, very sad but you wonder what impact it may have inflicted on the Allies before its demise
Extraordinary work done by your team, i have nothing but admiration for them and their detailed work, its an honour to watch and these videos help to create an everlasting visual document to its ongoing history, your team effort and the work done on her deserve much pride, amazing efforts
You mentioned that level of detail near the beginning, the German engineering and efficiency, i guess what with the eventual forced labour, the detail began to fade on where items were located, we cannot forget all those that were forced to work in such hard conditions being threatened with their lives and those that did perish, its near impossible to fathom the numbers involved from the man power right back to those mining the raw materials that drove the mighty German war machine
Remains very impressive despite its age.......Well done.
1 year and 6 months of construction
Kudos to the team for rebuilding one of the legendary tanks of ww2.
Truly a world class museum and exhibits and I’ve seen a few. :)
Good to know, as I haven't but I want too. And I'm here!
Only thing I can say is amazing work lads! I mean this is a project and a build to be proud of for a lifetime. Beautiful and inspiring!
Bless you guys for saving this history for future generations.
God Bless you Heros Saving History! 🙏
What a fantastic achievement congratulations to everyone involved look forward to seeing it move under its own power 😎👍👍
