How to Repair Cracked Pipes in a Frozen Dometic RV Water Heater

- I failed to winterize my RV before the first big freeze of the year and ended up with two cracks in my pick-up camper water heater. No worries, in this video I'll show you how to remove the Dometic on demand water heater from my Palomino 2902-HS pick up camper, repair the leaks in the copper tubing with lead free solder, test it and reinstall it in the camper.
Here's a walk around tour and review of the Palomino Back Pack Edition 2902-HS slide in pickup camper.

Thanks for the video.
No problem!
As always, great video!! Keep them coming!! Hopefully I won’t have any surprises this spring when we get ours out of storage.
Thanks! Haha wish you the best, you definitely can’t forget up north!
I hope I don’t have to do that when we get a new camper again but I certainly won’t be afraid of it now that was a damn good video
Thanks!
Just saw your video yesterday and again today is your tankless water heater still holding up? I had the same exact problem
This just happened to mine, I’m think I can solder it without taking it out lol
Good luck!
I don’t see a winterizing video but wondering if you have one!?
Sorry I sold it last year otherwise I’d make one!
What’s it like hauling a camper with a lifted truck? I have a 3500 srw duramax long bed 6” 35s and just picked up a camper for it haven’t really tested it much because too much snow on the ground. The forums I’ve read online advise against it. But hauling it home on the freeway it felt pretty solid
Get good hellwig sway bars, f rated tires and good airbags with good suspension/shocks and you’ll be fine. You’ll know it’s there, but not much different than pulling a giant fifth wheel or straight trailer. Good luck!
