I’m a huge fan of the pocket bellows. Been using that same brand for years. I’m too old to crawl around on my knees and singeing my beard in a fire.
I never thought about beards getting burnt but I guess that is really a risk if you have one!!!!
Camp fire? What's that? My entire province is under a fire ban. :(
Oh well...I'll be burning lots during winter.
Yeah the wild fires have been really bad this year. Not enough rain! We've been in a drought too!!!
You’re looking good girl! I found a 2 piece screw together fire poker thingy that’s great for a minimalist kit. It comes unscrewed in occasion (like me), but it works well enough for its storage size. Love the pocket bellows, they are essential IMHO. I need to look into the Estwing maul. I use an axe/full tang knife and hammer to make kindling.
That 4lb maul is my primary wood splitting tool when weight isn't a consideration. I keep it next to my wood stove at home too!
Awesome video, might have to wait here, horrible hot.
Drought here. Total fire ban!!!!! Might get some rain today! I sure hope!!!!
@@LoneCrowAdventures me 2- we have a severe thunderstorm warning here in Virginia- but you never know
@@DaveCollierCamping I wish we'd get a real soaker!
@@LoneCrowAdventures yes 👍
Very cold here in the mountains of So. California. Days in the mid 50s nights in the low 30s very unusual this time of year.
The Claw Log Grabber...wow! who knew? This is for someone who likes to keep their distance. For me, getting close and poking the pile with a piece of kindling is the way to go. I like the length of this video-- Short but useful and complete.
The claw is great for nights when you're having a few beers and want to rearrange the fire without getting out of your chair or if you are having a very hot fire it allows you to keep your distance safely. 😀
@@LoneCrowAdventures Makes sense!
Love the pocket belows I even use them at home in my wood stove. Hey Samantha, is been unusually cold here in So. California and I was wondering if you could do a review on catalytic heaters. I know the basics but would like your opinion. Thanks. Catalytic vs Mr Buddy, What’s your take? There are a few videos but I prefer yours because they’re very detailed and professional.
Thanks for the suggestion. I prefer the Mr Buddy heater honestly. It is more tip proof and I'd be worried about the catalytic canister heaters causing a fire. But when the weather turns cold I can sure do a comparison video!
@@LoneCrowAdventures thanks so much!
Very nice tools
Thanks so much 🙏
There are a lot of cool fire starting tools out there , but bang for the buck I just keep 3 or 4 Bic lighters in my backpack and
my dry kit in my kayak . I pack them in old pill bottles so they don't get something up against the valve . Never had a problem.
Great video . SS blade for the saw is nice I have to buy a new one every year or two because of rust . Great for kayaks . Packing
or kayaking I try to keep things light , but the mall would be nice for your truck or 4X4 . Gotta look into that saw . Have a blessed
one .
That maul is great when weight or space isn't a consideration. I keep it next to the wood stove at home too!
Something else really cool is the joke birthday candles you can't blow out for getting your fire going . My wife reminded
me about those . I need to put some in my dry kit . I have learned about so many cool products through your channel
and gave me so many Ideas to mod gear I already use . Thanks and have a blessed one .
Omg that would be hilarious 😂
