It's not weird to think about Trucks all the time Mike. I've doin it 43 years and I've been in the shop all day in 95 degree heat polishing and spray waxing gettin ready for next week. It's called pride in your ride.
Fellow truck-aholic here 🙋🏻♂️. I’m glad there’s still companies that take so much pride in their rigs. Somehow I ended up driving for a company that could care less how their trucks look, 0 Pride. I try to take care of the crap Cascadia I drive for them, but other drivers run it when I’m off and trash it.
Mike,, the look on your face @ 29:15 ,,that had to let the wind out of your sails not to pickup you're truck,,you're composure was great,,excellent video, thanks,!
I can appreciate the effort you put into your rig to keep it above pristine condition as you do. I’ve been driving for as long if not longer than you but I don’t have the time needed. I’m not saying I couldn’t do it. I just don’t. I still love trucking and wouldn’t do anything else for money but I ain’t got the ambition you do. I’m sure your company appreciates you and takes good care of you for it. I would hope so anyway. You are a cut above when it comes to all things trucks and trucking. Guess that’s why you are The Boston Trucker. You’d make a great Ambassador of Trucking.
Hey Mike, love the videos and truckers. Im a fuel tanker driver in virginia but when you said you were headed to palmer spring it made me thi k of my childhood. I gre up in Ware MA. Keep up the good work and thank you for all the time you spend for our entertainment.
Mike long time viewer of the Boston Trucker, you have one bad a;; Kenworth, I’m a retired Truck Driver of 45 years I drove Peterbilt Tri axle dump I worked with a guy that reminds me of you his name was Dave/ nickname Moose and he always had his truck shine;n. Keep up the great videos looking forward to seeing your new truck. I’m surprised you never wear gloves doing things outside. I was always a bit anal when came to keep my steering wheel clean of grime 😢 God bless you Mike and your family.
Thank you very much for your support. Believe me I don't like getting dirty especially my hands, sometimes I pull out the gloves depending how dirty things may get but I have a good hand cleaner and sanitizer in the cab. Have a great 4th!
Hey Boston trucker how are you doing today my friend I love watching our UA-cam videos they are very educational videos and keep up the good work and I love the new truck
I wonder if you could drive from Boston, MA to Athens, ON in less time than flying to YYZ and then backtracking? Really hoping to see you there on the Saturday!
Couldn't get to that Superliner fast enough. Not a Mack guy. Lol That's terrible, you got it washed and then? Watched the door roll slowly down. How's Rose doing in her new role? Everything good? Yeah, if you're using the equipment regularly? Things can break. Profound wisdom at the end. There was a time when those old rusty hulks were new. And? Nobody cares about 13,vs 15, vs 18 speed anymore. Or hoods. Or COE tractors. So, let's try not to alienate the newbies. We can keep it simple and to ourselves. There's hope standing in the driveway and recording and trying to stay out of Teddy's way. God bless you and safe travels.
My dad worked for a company that had a macianc he worked on my dad's truck got a grease hand print on the truck my dad came in and noticed it and he went right over to the guys tool box and dumped oil all over his tool box
I know you are itching to haul boulders like the old Mack in the start of the video. Your aluminum trailer could use some dents and dimples to add some patina 😂
Kinda funny. Moving snow equipment in 100 degrees. I had to pick up a small excavator with our small 35 ton low bed. I put a 4 x 4 by 12 block under the front to rest the low bed on it instead of the asphalt. After loads Ing the excavator over the side. That block of wood sank in the asphalt. The trailer never touched the road.
See you tomorrow. No R model this year. Where its locked away. The man with the key is on vacation. So it will be our old Mack CL700 tri axle. It has been cleaned up over the winter.
Trucking resources just recently uploaded a video on the history of kenworth. Maybe you want to check it out, pretty cool video. Another great video Mike and early bonus points !!!!
Yeah how much more easy do they want it the new drivers are too cocky Cabs that are equal in ameneties to a Lincoln or Lexus Push button Transmissions air rde super seats over air ride cab over air ride Suspention Cabs are now tighter & quieter than ever before Power steering is now self correcting in some models Concert quality Sound systems heated & cooled massaging seats what more can they do to these trucks to pamper these drivers the Pay & benefits need to annually increase every year maybe a payed vacation yearly maybe a company car how about your own personal Goo Mah & weekend Cabin and a new Indian or Harley Davidson of your personal choice
