How To Fix This PC Stuck at 68% During Reset Recovery in Windows 11/10 [Solution]
Reset this PC is a useful feature in Windows 10/11 to help users factory reset their computer to default settings when it isn’t running well. However, this operation is not always working properly, you may see Windows 10 reset stuck at a certain point, for example, 1%, 8%, 24%, 62%, 64%, 68%, 99%, etc. And common reason are Hardware failure, Driver problem and Messed up Windows installation.
Usually, reset will get stuck because of file permissions or file corruption. Your system files that are connected to the Reset operation can get corrupted and as a result of which your PC is unable to reset. The corrupted files can be repaired using various methods. Sometimes, it can be a mere glitch. This glitch is stopping the utility from loading files reset files.
Restore from image backup:
1. Boot your computer from an installation disc.
2. Select Troubleshoot / Advanced Options / System Image Recovery in the Windows recovery environment. Then follow the instructions to perform the recovery.
Get into Safe Mode or Advanced Startup screen:
1. Open Windows 11 Settings.
2. Click open System settings.
3. Scroll down till you see Recovery on the right side, and then click on it.
4. In the next screen, under Recovery options, you will see Advanced startup.
5. Click on the Restart now button to initiate the process.
Run your File Checker:
1. Click on Windows search and type command prompt. Now right-click on the Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.
2. Type the script below and hit Enter: sfc /scannow.
3. Await the scan’s completion at 100%. During this procedure, avoid closing the Command Prompt or turning off your computer because doing so could cause the progression to be reset.

Your reset may be actually stuck or it may be taking too long. While it is advisable not to interrupt the Reset operation - if it has been more than an hour or two, then you have a problem.
