I went plant based during Lent. After the 40 days, I ate a few animal based products and had an enormous amount of guilt, so I decided to stick with it. I went fully vegan a few months after and I am glad that I did. 5 years vegan thus far.
I also went vegan for the animals, ten years ago. I could no longer pay men to treat animals like that. I’m so glad Veganism exists because I really feel animals don’t need to die for us to live.
Girl the force feeding of chickens. Cows needing antibiotics ect ect dirty habitat and unhappy tasting meat I felt it one day I just said....this chicken didn't taste happy ppl looked at me crazy .
Nothing scarred me more than learning about Factory Farming, what’s in our food. It disgusted me and made me feel so terrible for what they go through. I’ve been vegan for a year now.
I love and appreciate the work y'all do. Been vegan since 19'. Haven't converted anyone completely. But I do have ppl around me a little more conscious and open to vegan alternatives. They enjoy what I cook or what I buy but everyones on their own journey so I appreciate their effort and openness. You all's videos definitely are making a difference in transitioning vegan so all I can say is keep up the GREAT WORK 👍👌💪
Love you guys!! That looks so yummy! I went vegan 6 years ago. I was revamping my grocery budget and I stumbled upon it on UA-cam. Then I watched the Netflix documentary What The Health. I was very undereducated before that! At that time I was taking several prescriptions. I changed my whole household to whole food plant based and I didn’t need any prescriptions after just 4 months. I would love to see some vlog style content, also what you eat in a day.
I went on a plantbase/vegan diet about 10 years ago because I got tired of being bloated, constipated and my big toe pained me at night. I started reading about meat takes awhile to digest and dairy causes inflammation. So I decided to try going vegan for 30 days. I did pretty good and noticed I felt lighter, no more bloating. I kept going and noticed the constipation went away and my big toe stopped hurting. I am so glad I went vegan and will never go back.
I excercise regularly and my entire body is fit, except my stomach. I struggle with bloating so bad. If I can figure out how to cook vegan, I will try to switch to see if it helps me
I have been vegan for almost 12 years. The idea of being black and vegan was crazy to most but I did it anyway. I would never go back. I'm working now to get more balance in my diet as I love vegan desserts. I just wanted to have the best possible health and I have a love for the animals and our planet. I'm also the owner of a vegan pop up resturant in Detroit. We hope to have a brick and mortar in the future.
I went vegan cause I love the Animals and the Earth. Also My body can't take meat. I use to get really sick won't do to deep. So I've been so happy because now my body and my health is great. Then I find out that my blood type really goes well with being vegan . I'll never go back to meat. I'll die as a vegan ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉🎉❤❤
I am not vegan but I am so glad you have shared your story! Me and my sister suffer from HS and autoimmune diseases. I have been thinking about going vegan and this is just another sign. Thank you!
Shhiidd where ya'll live ? Vegan Chinese food I want soommmeeee.... that's exactly how I felt eating meat and dairy it was horrible everything taste so funny
Well … this is my first video I’ve seen of yours & I enjoyed it. Today makes five days of my vegan journey. I’ve decided to become vegan because I have PCOS I’m working on curing myself. I’m tired of being in pain emotionally, mentally and physically 🙂
Same! I went vegan because I had periods that would last months and I would be light headed 😢. Once I cut meat, dairy, eggs and went fully vegan, my health completely turned around. I used vitamins as a regular routine to shrink my fibroids. My medical professionals gave me zero help abt being vegan. I have to research and heal myself naturally! I wish u the very best on your journey !
I made the choice to transition to veganism because of my love for sentient beings, as well as my health and the environment. Getting back to my roots, with our ancestors being plant based for so long, it feels so incredible to eat healthy and to be closer to nature.
I'm vegetarian but same thing happened to me with eggs. It's so funny cause I loved eggs with cheese and then one day I was about to cook an egg and the thought of cooking it was so nasty to me. It happened out of nowhere.
I love the channel. And I think you have wonderful ideas. And everyone needs to splurge every now and then. Keep pushing out the videos I love them and have even shared them with family and friends.
Can you do Thanksgiving meat replacement for ham or turkey? For sides can you make macaroni and cheese, chicken and dressing, green bean casserole, and pecan pie. These are my staples for the holidays, everything else I eat is basically vegetable and they come vegan lol. I'm excited to she you bring your A game sis. Yall be blessed 🙌
I went vegan/plant based 5 yrs ago for my mental health. Its starting as a 30 day challenge. I was also thinking about going raw in the beginning, I felt amazing, depression went away , sleep better eating mostly raw but decided to add cook foods. I started watching documentaries and was disgusting by the meat and dairy industry so I never looked back! Those will always be my why's.
I would love it if there was a Chinese restaurant in my area that sold vegan food too. At restaurants around me basically anything vegg gets cooked in butter or foods are fried in same oil as meat and diary products
There’s a place in noho called Good china express or something. They make all of the vegan food fresh and it was so good. Looks like this, but if it’s not, definitely check it out
Goodmorning vegan peeps! Your family is changing lives. Our communities need to explore healthy plant based diets. I have been a lover of all sentient beings since childhood. I am so grateful for all you are doing.
Watching from flint michigan were getting more vegan spots here ten years ago there were none we even have food trucks now makes me so happy im a plant eater but still a foodie
I'm trying to transition because of an autoimmune disorder diagnosis. It's been a struggle to give up meat fully mainly because I don't meal prep. My family is not on the same journey but I'm still trying to get there to fully vegan or plant base. I would love to see yall before pictures, prior to going vegan.
👋🏼👋🏼 just wanted to say I've been vegan for almost 1 year now because of health reason and the dislike for the taste of meat. After going vegan I slowly started adding "vegan" things into the meals I cooked for my family. I no longer take meds for high BP or cholesterol although I still have an autoimmune disease my lifestyle change "food" has helped me out greatly. My whole family is now vegan 😉 you can do it! Oh yeah and 35 pounds down! You can do it!
@@miasunshineraem.9795 thanks for the encouragement! I know I can cause I feel so much better when I eat vegan. I'm about to do a quick meal prep as soon as my impossible meat is unthawed. Once I get myself together with tasty vegan meals I too will add them into my families meals as well. I have been going back and forth for a few months but I have lost inches all over, so it's another plus to continue. I stopped taking a lot of the meds my doctors put me on and the goals is to get off the last two. I appreciate you committing and saying hello, we're never alone even when it seems that way and someone else has succeeded on the same journey your on!!!
I went plant based in 2019. I realized that in order for me to drop weight I had to change up my eating habits. After a year I felt better about my weight my mood was better. During COVID my household transitioned because the realized I always had good meals and was never sick. I stopped because my love for seafood. I went pescatarian, but in 2022 I gave in when I got pregnant with my son. Now I am going pescatarian but eating mainly vegan options because I went to the doctors about my cycle. I was checked for so much and I was advised to try to eat more healthy foods. So I know my weakness and I’m going to add that occasionally into my transition.
that looks so good. I’m craving some sautéed spinach now! I’ve been vegetarian for 11 years now but I’ve been cutting out dairy recently. For some reason dairy products have just started to gross me out.
Im thinking about going plant-based and watching your videos is very inspirational you guys are very engaging y'all have a lot of fun and I'm excited to try going vegan thank you please continue to make more videos you guys are awesome also I love that y'all pray before you're eating
Hey Fam, Glad to see your faces. I became vegan 6 years ago because of health reasons. I moved from NYC (Yes, HD New York....LOL) to ATL. After getting settled hubby and I went for our yearly physicals and was told I had high cholesterol and anemia (NEVER had that in NYC). Anyway, he prescribed 5 different pills for me to take. I took them for about 2 weeks and got so sick and depressed, like I was going to die. One day I was watching and episode of Dr. Oz called "Fix it with food" and watching videos about Dr. Sebi. I jumped in full force and became vegan.....mind you I threw the pills in the TOILET! Went back after six months for the Dr to recheck me and my blood test results changed drastically. The Dr. said, Wow the pills are working great for you. I NEVER told him I threw them out. Fast forward to today, I have no issues, everything is GREAT and I LOVE LOVE LOVE being vegan. I started watching you guys for about 3 years now, tried some of your recipes and LOVE them. Keep doing your thing. And of yea.....I have a new doctor now LOL.
This is my first time watching you guys and I already love y’all! So down to earth, I love it! God bless you guys! I’m a new subscriber now 🥰 can’t wait to watch more videos🌸💕
Besides standard Xmas recipes it would be cool to see more vlog style vids like “decorate w me” or “what I got for Xmas” a vegan gift guide would be awesome too 😺😺😺
Would love to see for the holidays vegan egg nog, maybe some vegan tamales with cheese and jalapeño . Also vegan pozole with soy curls as the sub for the meat :)

I went vegan and really committed to it after watching “WHAT THE HEALTH” omg like it’s so crazy how everything was just being exposed..smh both my mom and grandma got multiple sclerosis and like I be encouraging them to eat more plant based because I know it will help with the inflammation but they don’t be hearing me y’all smh lol ..as far as me though..listen I ain’t think twice about it because I don’t have time to be laying up in the hospital taking a million prescriptions 😮💨 but I love y’all content ..love the vibe just subscribed too because I appreciate what y’all do
That’s crazy I have HS too and that shiiii is so painful 😖 omg one time I had 6 boils under one arm I could move my arm or sleep omg but thank you for telling your story. I’m now vegan 🌱 and I haven’t had any flare ups.
I'm working towards a plant based lifestyle for weight loss, more energy, and better health overalI. I love your channel for alternatives and recipes to just eating salads. I have not eaten meat in almost 2 months and it has been fairly easy. The challenge I'm finding is good alternatives to dairy (cheese and yogurt)
I love you and I appreciate you being so real and sharing your perspective about sometimes eating junk vegan food but mostly eating whole foods. I love the fact that you are Christian as well. I have gone back to my Christian Roots and I truly believe that I'm supposed to be eating vegan. I too had some health problems that only clear up when I eat healthy and I do have way more energy when I eat totally vegan. I am one of those transitioning people that you are talking about and I think you are right on to have videos like this. You're just being honest and straightforward. I do try to eat organic whenever I can but I'm not 100% and I feel like anytime I try to be extreme I fall off the wagon so thank you again for talking about having a balance 🙌🙏🥰
My favorite substitute for chicken is fried eggplant. I didn’t use egg to fry my chicken before but I use just egg, seasoning and flour to fry my eggplant. Better than cauliflower imo.
I would like to see what a typical week of meal preps look like for you guys. I just started being more plant based and struggle with that part at least being creative. I’m excited to make a few recipes you guys have on here also looking forward to your recipe book too 🙌🙌
Love you guys! For years I thought I just wasn't a good cook like my grandma bc her meats were so flavorful with just salt and pepper..mine tasted like cardboard. Finally light dawned and I learned about how animals are confined and shot with antibiotics...it's not meat anymore. But more to the point once I learned about the treatment of animals I became vegetarian then vegan once I learned about the cruelty of the dairy industry. 7 years vegan...12 vegetarian. And the truth is all the flavor in any kind of cooking comes from the vegetables and herbs anyhow! Oh yeah I'm healthier and I'm pushing 70...Dr said he never saw better numbers after my last blood test! 😂
I am so glad she brought up HS because I experience that at times, and I was wondering if should I change up my diet. I go to the dermatologist next month about it, but I know he probably just prescribe me a cream or antibiotics.
That all looks sooo good!😃💞 You tickled me when you said HD was like no food until after the photo shoot😂 It would be good to see some vegan holiday appetizers.
Hi Ghetto Vegans, I want to see vegan Indian food mukbang next. Try Indian lentil curry, dosa & Rava dosa. But be careful, many Indian restaurants use ghee(clarified butter) in their menus.
Thank you sooooo much guys for sharing your vegan life and all the yummy recipes to try. I am a beginner and just trying to incorporate meatless meals into my lifestyle....Ayyyyyyee!
I've been binge watching yal channel alllll day...I'm not sure if you have done it already, but would u consider doing a Thanksgiving vegan dinner? I love dressing but I wana see if there is a vegan recipe for it
Hey Love's 💜 I've been watching you all for a few weeks now! I love Family Channels 🥰 Yet I'm thinking of going Fully Vegan. I'm getting myself to a more affordable position to do it without all the "junk food" part. Keep the videos coming 🥰💜🏡📺 #LifeWithAlliDaily

Thanks! Ghetto Vegans for your experiences and knowledge stories on transitioning from meat to vegan plant-based lifestyle. Sorry!! you have that skin disorder Hidradenitis suppurativa Marie. I pray God heals you completely from that skin disorder.

I love your videos! Can you show us how to make a really delicious vegan pumpkin pie filling, to bake in a pie crust? I bought premade graham cracker pie crusts, and can't find a super good/easy pumpkin pie filling to make, and bake in my pie crusts I have waiting here :)
