This game had some dark implications. Previous midbosses are fought in zombie/undead form. And the fact that the game over has Kirby literally dead.

Well there is a stage in Volcanic Valley where you fight a gauntlet of Minibosses reinacting the series staple in almost every Kirby game.

​​​@@pyroman4554 there also IS a boss rush! But i don't remember if the funny tank kirby fight was included.
You got to pick between a bigger number doorway for tougher bosses, or a lower number doorway for weaker bosses. When one was finished, you'd choose what next you felt like doing.
I loved that, it fit the jack-of-all-trades nature of the game too.
