Well done. I am a home inspector writing a report identifying a poorly installed sidewall flashing. I was searching the web for a clear detail to insert as an example of another way to install such a flashing and came upon your video. I have snatched a snipit to insert in my report. Nice to see pride and skills still remain with some!
Can you tell me what you used for the snow stoppers? We put a metal roof on our log home.. and didn't do the snow stoppers.. and last year during our first winter.. we got several snow avalanches. We gotta look into getting the snow guards soon. Thx.
You will probably need to find a metal roofing manufacturer that makes custom trims. The ones we use are about 10’ long and get screwed to the roof on a regular pole barn steel. With standing seam metal roof the snow guards we use are similar but get clamped to the ribs.
Great job man definitely apprecitate your attention to detail

What type of metal roof do you have?

goofy design with the chimney. if it is non functional I would not have one. nice work.
I believe the chimney will be functional.
Thanks
The house was still being finished out on the inside.
This should have been standing seam. And you should have used high temp ice and water under the entire roof.
We were contracted to do this roof so it wasn’t our choice what type of roof they used,
I agree standing seam would be better.
