Coach Wooden really seems like an incredible soul. Just a nice, well-rounded, and humble guy. He seems to be just one of the good guys, not just in sports but life in general.

I can only say that when so many people of high character speak so highly of him I can only conclude he is truly an Angel on Earth.

Loved his quote, "Dont mistake activity for achievement". Very wise man who loved the Lord, I aspire to be like this man.

There are very few great people that can inspire out of their surroundings but Coach Wooden is one of them. What a truly admirable human being.

R.I.P. Wizard of Westwood, your players, fans, your students and your pupils high on life will miss you. Mind and memory so sharp even in his last years... humor and wit til the day he died. Sports and mankind as a whole has lost a true legend and father genius.

@bcwhite750 agreed....I love a man who can enjoin his sports and still be thoughtful, compassionate, and secure. Here's a man who was a champion, and never belittled or underestimated anyone. He's an incredible role model for athletes and young men in general!

Awesome interviews! Please post the service which I've been looking for for years! I thought the John Wooden service broadcast on all the local stations commercial free for over an hour & a half was very respectful.
