The fact that the most successful clan of Skaven _became_ the most successful by actively advocating trust, teamwork, and genuine merit over their borderline instinctual penchant for mindless backstabbery is fucking amazing to me. They're not even one of the so-called "Greater Clans" either -- they're not the revolutionary mad scientists of Skryre, the demented flechcrafters of Moulder, the overwhelming mass of rapid zealots of Pestilens, or the assassin supremes of Eshin. They're just good old-fashioned warriors and warlords who brute forced their way into the Council of Thirteen with the novel concepts governing them acting as the all-breaking battering ram.
I heard as a joke that the great super power of queek is the fact that he had a supportive parent how show him some affection and that's why he would never betray his clan.

I totally agree! Choyer is one of my favorite Warhammer lore channels ever. Even though I never played Warhammer Fantasy, I've always been interested in the lore of it.
Mors is easily my favourite clan (and Skaven by extension). Like with the story of Malekith, I'm obsessed with this twisted sense of honour and/or wrong vs right
I'm personally drawn to Slaanesh. Clan Mors and the deeper story of Malekith (especially with Morathi's and Atharti's corruption) either works hand-in-hand or cannot compare. I like to imagine a dark god between Tzeentch, Khaine and the Great Horned Rat. A minor god, slowly manipulating them all as he feeds from their ambitions. A dark god perverted failure and ego. 40k doesn't and can't have this depth, with a universe so wide. AoS is basically the simplified version of the old fantasy. I need more xD

Mors and the Sardaukar do have a lot in common: -Top Tier Warriors. -Loyal to the core. -Bloody terrifying compared the other mooks (Harkonnen troops) -They both got the Drip

Still really bugs Me how Lords in Clan-Mors still have the god awful loyalty mechanic despite The Clan's entire gimmick and strength being it's unnatural loyalty, It would make sense if Grey-Seers and Warlock Masters have loyalty issues but I feel like Warlords recruited in Clan-Mors shouldn't have loyalty similar to Clan-Eshin's recruitable lords

@captaintrainer9490 Well, there *is* a perk that increases chances of higher loyalty for Warlords (and lower for Grey Seers), with Queek having an ability that increases/decreases loyalty points for each Lord type respectively while also being good at boosting morale for Stormvermin, Clanrats, and Skavenslaves.

Clans Mors greatest strength is also the reason why they are my favorites. Especially that bit that happened with Grey Seer Razzel. SPOILERS: (If for whatever reason you care about such stuff) 1) Ska almost choking the grey seer for insulting Queek and take a knife in the back to protect Queek from said gray seer's ambush. 2) Queek would not mercilessly slaughter that Grey seer just because he healed Ska's wounds. (Would totally want to though) 3) Sleek Sharpwit both manipulate the grey seer to heal Ska and later break his legs before throwing him in Gnawdwell's feet. 4) and Gnawdwell not caring one bit about his threats while personally throwing him off his tower and into his death for what he did. NO SPOILERS: (Personal view on my favorite Clan) I don't care if its twisted, affection and loyalty are still the same with just a different flavor, and besides : in Mors the chances that you will be assassinated are less than half the one of ANY other Skaven clan. (since everyone knows what will happen if they dispose of you carelessly) Basically the more you work for the Clan the less you have to fear as all will see you as a useful tool to the clan as a whole and as such if someone kills you they will all smell blood. ( Not yours. Theirs. )
Awesome Video! I love to hear these narrations and learn more lore of the WH Fantasy's world. To be honest I never imagined the Skaven would have anything similar to loyalty yet one of Queek's... Men? Rats? Subordinates took a knife aimed at his lord and was rewarded for it.
@5:25 This right here is what sets Clan Mors from all other clans and while I can’t recall if Mors’ secret weapon of loyalty ever being mentioned in an army book it is interesting to see fidelity, being so rare in the Under-Empire, being used as a weapon/attribute by one clan to set it apart from all others.
I made up an albino skaven of clan mors named lurz who uses a sword and shield style. Although I might change him into a stormskaven that carries a rune axe he took from a dwarf lord along with the poor dwarfs head that now decorates Lurz's banner. Still debating. As for a way to show his rats are loyal to him, more than one rat has sacrifice itself for Lurz by using them self as a shield to protect him from a goblin, dwarf, even four of them saving him from grimgor himself.
i can only imagine, no, really, take a moment and try to imagine it: A clan eshin spy, sent by the three great clans, to spy on moors, and firgure, why in the name of the horned rat , skavendon, the thirteen, the hornet rat again, and eleven other times, making it thirteen, can clan moors plans, schemes, missions, assasinations, information gathereing, and ever freaking other thing they get themselves to do. work *ever* . *single* . *time* . no delays, no "unfortunate, unknown circunstances beyond any one rat to control" or unfortunate misunderstanding of commands that can happen to any rat", no nothing like this, just good work as far as a rat can see. and when they get the answer, in a darkened room, so no other clan can know, the spy ready to speak, utter silence and expectation, he says the words " they have loyalty " a good five seconds pass.......three great lords, only look untill it finally sinks in, they remember each attempt at bribery, each under the table payment that didn't pan out, memories of commands and wars fought in the darkness of scheming, only to be lost, and all of a sudden the strange behaviour of clan moors ...........makes sense ,for the very first time three gasps where heard, three lords astonished, followed by all the other eshen spies, that overheard the revelation to then escape, and so a epidemic of such gasps, delaying skavendom for thirteen seconds exactly legends say even the Great Horned Rat gasped that day! (fixed the number of seconds, five seconds is dumb for the skaven)
This was a truly great episode, but I feel like we could have gotten more about the grand history of Clan Mors and their home/battle for Karak Eight Peaks.

I do often wonder who the greatest clan would be if there was a civil war. Skryer or Moulder are the ones I usually think will be competing for top dog.

CA needs to work on WH2 a lot more. Theres so many things to be improved. They hate spending money on their games, thats for sure

@5:25 This right here is what sets Clan Mors from all other clans and while I can’t recall if Mors’ secret weapon of loyalty ever being mentioned in an army book it is interesting to see fidelity, being so rare in the Under-Empire, being used as a weapon/attribute by one clan to set it apart from all others.

I made up an albino skaven of clan mors named lurz who uses a sword and shield style. Although I might change him into a stormskaven that carries a rune axe he took from a dwarf lord along with the poor dwarfs head that now decorates Lurz's banner. Still debating. As for a way to show his rats are loyal to him, more than one rat has sacrifice itself for Lurz by using them self as a shield to protect him from a goblin, dwarf, even four of them saving him from grimgor himself.
i can only imagine, no, really, take a moment and try to imagine it:
A clan eshin spy, sent by the three great clans, to spy on moors, and firgure, why in the name of the horned rat , skavendon, the thirteen, the hornet rat again, and eleven other times, making it thirteen, can clan moors plans, schemes, missions, assasinations, information gathereing, and ever freaking other thing they get themselves to do. work *ever* . *single* . *time* . no delays, no "unfortunate, unknown circunstances beyond any one rat to control" or unfortunate misunderstanding of commands that can happen to any rat", no nothing like this, just good work as far as a rat can see.
and when they get the answer, in a darkened room, so no other clan can know, the spy ready to speak, utter silence and expectation, he says the words
" they have loyalty "
a good five seconds pass.......three great lords, only look untill it finally sinks in, they remember each attempt at bribery, each under the table payment that didn't pan out, memories of commands and wars fought in the darkness of scheming, only to be lost, and all of a sudden the strange behaviour of clan moors ...........makes sense ,for the very first time
three gasps where heard, three lords astonished, followed by all the other eshen spies, that overheard the revelation to then escape, and so a epidemic of such gasps, delaying skavendom for thirteen seconds exactly
legends say even the Great Horned Rat gasped that day!
(fixed the number of seconds, five seconds is dumb for the skaven)
This was a truly great episode, but I feel like we could have gotten more about the grand history of Clan Mors and their home/battle for Karak Eight Peaks.

I do often wonder who the greatest clan would be if there was a civil war. Skryer or Moulder are the ones I usually think will be competing for top dog.
There were already two civil wars started by Clan Pestilence and Clan Pestilence almost won both.... against all the other Major clans combined. Check out Jumbo Thick's channel for more in depth lore if you're interested in the full story. ;-)

I heard a theory once that he is a Daemon Prince of chaos undivided and he grew powerful enough to create the Skaven.
