Hello. You have to see the song "Samaltau" in the studio. The beauty of Dimash in another register accompanied by traditional Kazakh instruments. I can say that after 7 years of following him either on the internet or at concerts where I had the pleasure of seeing him live. "Samaltau" is the song that for me most defines him as a lover of his land, people, culture and history. You won't regret listening to the raw without great orchestral manifestations, just a kazac flute and a Kobyz, the instrument with just two strings made from animal skin... it's transcendental, believe me., a masterpiece of his musical culture." Samaltau to Tokyo Jazz". I have to add that here in this particular and wonderful composition by Kōji Tamaki and Gorō Matsui the microphone of excellence that Dimash uses is to capture the smallest sound. it is remarkably accurate when close to the mouth, but notice how far it moves away when it stops the high notes. I am so surprised that you did not use the Eng. subtitles. I do understand what you mean about "purity", that's why the way he sang SOS on The Singer 2017, will always be my favorite. The way Dimash sings this song, I can almost feel it going thru me. That humming at the end is beyond description. Ikanaide means don't go, or please don't go. The person is begging for their love not to go and for them to always be together as they used to be. I love the way Dimash gets himself emotionally and mentally prepared before his first note leaves his lips. He gets so immersed into any song, that you cannot help but feel it too. Then, he has to take a second or two to come back to reality. He does the same thing with "Love Is Like A Deam". He pauses for a minute while we anxiously await that first note. Thank you so very much for reacting to my second favorite song by Dimash. When he sang Confessa/Diva Dance on The Singer, the 1st half of the song was in Mandarin and then in Italian. Every time I watch this video, I notice something I missed the last time. And every time I watch anyone react to it, they notice something I missed. I think that is part of the genius of the creator. We must work together to get anywhere near understanding. You brought up the meaning of the symbol they wore around their neck. I don't think it means anything, and that is the point. Our wars are often over meaningless things, many times constructed in the minds of those who want them. It is impossible to concentrate entirely on the music or the video both at one time, but each has an important message. Dimash provides an answer to that with his concerts,--another message he's sending that we must look at things through different perspectives? You are right; this man is so special in so many ways, yet he stresses that he is just an ordinary man, similar to another man whose message has lasted throughout history.
Yes this is his first song in Japanese. The melody for this is the same as he sings In mandarin called autum Strong. They are both about parting. Watch Autumn strong from his Kiev concert as he does something special at the end. At his Dubai concert, he he sung the first half in mandarin and the second in Japanese.

One of my favourites and the first of his songs that i was determined to learn all of the lyrics and did it! This is based on a true, very sad story and, as usual, Dimash conveys the emotion perfectly. Igor Krutoy said of him that he instinctively knows how a song should be presented and this is definitely an example of that skill. It's no wonder he has been dubbed as the best vocalist in the world! Thank you for your great reaction. I look forward to seeing more 😊

As someone who lived in Japan for a decade, and is fluent in Japanese, his performance is sublime - his mastery of the nuance of Japanese is amazing! That said, I would, based on what the story of the song is about, translate "ikanaide" in this case as "Don't leave" ... In Japanese, the work can be used in both ways. The Chinese translation has approached the piece from a more romantic point of view. This is one of my favorite performances of Dimash. Have you seen his mv of Screaming? Not the live one.. he has one that he does all the back vocals as well as of course his main performance. One very expressive and emotive song which I love, but which is also very sad, is Qaragym-ai from the 2020 concert dedicated to the 60th anniversary of "Kazakhconcert". Dimash dedicated his performance to the great composer and Honored Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kenes Duisekeyev ua-cam.com/video/HilvUOOPRvE/v-deo.html The story of the song: It was written by Kenes , set to a famous Kazakh poem. A few years earlier, before Dimash exploded upon the world at The Singer 2017, Dimash was asked to perform this at another concert honoring Mr Duisekeyev. Kenes had reservations about the young Dimash having the emotional maturity to properly express the song. After the performance, he took Dimash under his tutelage, becoming the first famous mentor to be powerfully moved by Dimash. As we all know, Kenes was followed by Igor Krutoy. And now, Dimash is in The States working with David Foster while also studying directing on scholarship at the New York Film Academy branch in LA. This performance is Dimash singing his eulogy to his mentor, who we lost to COVID.

The video of this same performance on Dimash’s channel does have English subtitles, if you want to know what the song is about. Ikanaide means Please Don’t Go. Rather than a break up of a relationship though, it seems to me from the lyrics, that it might be more about a partner leaving because they are dying, rather than wanting to leave.
Yes amazing!!!! This is the original language this song was composed, but Dimash 1st sung in the contest - The Singer, Chinese competition- he sung it in Chinese, it was named there as Autumn strong. Dimash wanted hounour the song doin its original language - Japanese!! The original singer, Koji Tamaki was very impressed by Dimash's offering. Saying Dimash's Japanes was perfect, he was soo amazed. He was also delighted by Dimash's understanding of the story, which was portrayed full of emotion. However , Koji was very dismayed by other foreigners attempts. I love your reviews, to see how he touches people's hearts is 4 me sooo much better than lots of words. Great reaction, first time I saw this i started crying halfway through so you did better than me. This was filmed for the Tokyo Jazz Festival just as Dimash was also starting filming a new Chinese tv show and he'd had to go through a month's quarantine just to enter China so he couldn't leave the country again until he'd finished the show. Hence this being recorded at his studio in Beijing. It's the same melody as Autumn Strong but the Chinese lyrics are very different, when Dimash sings this in concert he'll often switch between Chinese and Japanese during the song.

Adagio in English, Olympico and Passione in Italian, El Amor EnTi in Spanish, Autumn Strong and Daybreak in Chinese Mandarin, and in most concerts he learns a local favourite phonetically in their language so they can sing along. He also has a Kazakh song that everyone sings along with that starts with Mahabbat Mer Bagan and introduces fans to the Kazakh language which many then learn. Of course, it is a love song. And Adai+Daididow. At Gakku outdoors fete, Unforgettable Day in Kazakh which he and his dad composed and wrote when he was 15. And in Vocalese, Autumn Strong at Ukraine 2020, and The Diva Dance in 2017 China and later with Li Yugang also in China called The Drunken Concubine and the Diva Dance. And don’t miss Ave Maria at Sochi. Menin Quazaqstanym is his national anthem that he brings the house down with at the Mexican fight. Just thinking about these songs makes my chest lock up.

Every time I watch this video, I notice something I missed the last time. And every time I watch anyone react to it, they notice something I missed. I think that is part of the genius of the creator. We must work together to get anywhere near understanding. You brought up the meaning of the symbol they wore around their neck. I don't think it means anything, and that is the point. Our wars are often over meaningless things, many times constructed in the minds of those who want them. It is impossible to concentrate entirely on the music or the video both at one time, but each has an important message. Dimash provides an answer to that with his concerts,--another message he's sending that we must look at things through different perspectives? You are right; this man is so special in so many ways, yet he stresses that he is just an ordinary man, similar to another man whose message has lasted throughout history.

Yes this is his first song in Japanese. The melody for this is the same as he sings In mandarin called autum Strong. They are both about parting. Watch Autumn strong from his Kiev concert as he does something special at the end. At his Dubai concert, he he sung the first half in mandarin and the second in Japanese.

One of my favourites and the first of his songs that i was determined to learn all of the lyrics and did it! This is based on a true, very sad story and, as usual, Dimash conveys the emotion perfectly. Igor Krutoy said of him that he instinctively knows how a song should be presented and this is definitely an example of that skill. It's no wonder he has been dubbed as the best vocalist in the world!

Beautiful reaction to a REALLY beautiful song and yes - what to say to Dimash's singing...? The softness, the pure beauty of his voice, his incorporation of love and pain (did you turn the subtitles on?) - you get instantly all the emotions, it is so touching and at the same time so energetic, pure presence of heart and soul... Love it. Love it that you love it. And I'm with you that it is fantastic and I don't miss anything when the focus is just on Dimash, on him and his face and his voice, and that's it, nothing more needed. - You are right that you could hear this on repeat and fall asleep. Why? Because you are completely at peace when you listen to Dimash's voice, because whatever he sings it is pure beauty and just perfect and sung with a pure heart and a great soul that surround you with warmth and love - and peace. As someone who lived in Japan for a decade, and is fluent in Japanese, his performance is sublime - his mastery of the nuance of Japanese is amazing! That said, I would, based on what the story of the song is about, translate "ikanaide" in this case as "Don't leave" ... In Japanese, the work can be used in both ways. The Chinese translation has approached the piece from a more romantic point of view. Both versions are wonderful.

If anyone is interested, there's a great mix of three singers (linked above) : A Chinese singer performing Autumn Strong in a very traditional, theatrical manner, Tamake Koji, the composer/writer/original performer of the song singing the Japanese version live and then Dimash back with Autumn Strong in various live situations. This is one of my favorite performances of Dimash. Have you seen his mv of Screaming? Not the live one.. he has one that he does all the back vocals as well as of course his main performance. Ikanaide means "Please don't go".
Thanks for your reaction to Dimash’s cover of Ikanaide which means “don’t go”. The original was written by a Japanese singer who wrote the song. Go on Gloria Wu’s channel and get the English subtitles to Autumn, pretty much the same song but sung in mandarin. True song from the heart of the singer.

One very expressive and emotive song which I love, but which is also very sad, is Qaragym-ai from the 2020 concert dedicated to the 60th anniversary of "Kazakhconcert". Dimash dedicated his performance to the great composer and Honored Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kenes Duisekeyev

The story of the song: It was written by Kenes , set to a famous Kazakh poem. A few years earlier, before Dimash exploded upon the world at The Singer 2017, Dimash was asked to perform this at another concert honoring Mr Duisekeyev. Kenes had reservations about the young Dimash having the emotional maturity to properly express the song. After the performance, he took Dimash under his tutelage, becoming the first famous mentor to be powerfully moved by Dimash. As we all know, Kenes was followed by Igor Krutoy. And now, Dimash is in The States working with David Foster while also studying directing on scholarship at the New York Film Academy branch in LA.
This performance is Dimash singing his eulogy to his mentor, who we lost to COVID.
This is one of my favorites... I've listened to it at least 50 times over the last 8 and a half months. It is a flawless performance and incredibly romantic. Watching your reaction, I realized... If I wanted someone to fall in love with me, this the song I would pick. It's completely disarming.

Even though this was performed in the studio, it was live streamed to the Tokyo Jazz Festival, as did all the foreign artists because of the COVID restrictions not permitting them to go to Japan. The video of this same performance on Dimash’s channel does have English subtitles, if you want to know what the song is about. Ikanaide means Please Don’t Go. Rather than a break up of a relationship though, it seems to me from the lyrics, that it might be more about a partner leaving because they are dying, rather than wanting to leave.
Yes amazing!!!! This is the original language this song was composed, but Dimash 1st sung in the contest - The Singer, Chinese competition- he sung it in Chinese, it was named there as Autumn strong.

The original singer, Koji Tamaki was very impressed by Dimash's offering. Saying Dimash's Japanes was perfect, he was soo amazed.
He was also delighted by Dimash's understanding of the story, which was portrayed full of emotion.

Great reaction, first time I saw this i started crying halfway through so you did better than me.
This was filmed for the Tokyo Jazz Festival just as Dimash was also starting filming a new Chinese tv show and he'd had to go through a month's quarantine just to enter China so he couldn't leave the country again until he'd finished the show. Hence this being recorded at his studio in Beijing.
It's the same melody as Autumn Strong but the Chinese lyrics are very different, when Dimash sings this in concert he'll often switch between Chinese and Japanese during the song.

Adagio in English, Olympico and Passione in Italian, El Amor EnTi in Spanish, Autumn Strong and Daybreak in Chinese Mandarin, and in most concerts he learns a local favourite phonetically in their language so they can sing along.
He also has a Kazakh song that everyone sings along with that starts with Mahabbat Mer Bagan and introduces fans to the Kazakh language which many then learn. Of course, it is a love song. And Adai+Daididow. At Gakku outdoors fete, Unforgettable Day in Kazakh which he and his dad composed and wrote when he was 15.
And in Vocalese, Autumn Strong at Ukraine 2020, and The Diva Dance in 2017 China and later with Li Yugang also in China called The Drunken Concubine and the Diva Dance. And don’t miss Ave Maria at Sochi.
