    I've owned a Taylor 214ce since 2020 and I would rebuy it again. It's a great guitar.

I had a Taylor 214ce for several years and I loved it as well. I ended jumping up to a 714ce and that’s my main acoustic to this day. Thanks for the video!

Oooo the 714 is gorgeous. I really don't know what I'm going to do long term, and I'm kind of oblivious when it comes to the specifics of these things compared to electrics where I feel like an encyclopedia by comparison. Maybe I'll just pick up every single one when I'm ready to buy and go from there.

Just bought a 214 ce plus a month ago and I freaking love it. It's almost easer to play than my Electric which is an SG. I'm almost never playing electric anymore anyway. Thanks for the video.

Super underrated guitars, they play way better than the price would indicate. I really loved taking that guitar on adventures with me, I'm happy you love yours too!

Did the same as well. I was looking actually for a 314ce but when I played this 214ce plus I decided that it was not worth the $900 difference.

@@jbredow Yeah, It stands up with much costlier guitars. It just has an amazing sound and is very easy to play.

did you just bought 214er? Or did you compare it with 114ce and liked more 214?
I'm thinking to upgrade my 150 euro guitar to one of those :) Somehow liked much much more 114ce than 214ce, but this opinoin I got on YT.
Will go to shop later, but unfortunatelly they have only 114ce, which I liked on recordings. 214 will be black box to me (have to order).
So in case you tried it- could you please tell me your opinion?
p.s. I play mostly compositions like interstellar, game of thrones, so overall game/film themes.
On other side - system of a down etc. as more dynamic music.

That's amazing, I really still miss this guitar and was looking at a used one the other day - a shame the world is in shambles or i would have likely bought it on the impulse haha

Nice guitar Jim. Are you going to be gigging in your new town? You should do some songs for us on your channel, we need some good music in these times!

I will be yes, also the channel is going to dramatically change in the next two weeks. I can't really do what I want to do until I get my drums here and they will be here on the 22nd. That's when things will start getting more interesting.

I have mixed feelings about that guitar. It’s a laminate back and sides guitar at a time when you can get all solid wood instruments for less. That said, it’s a good sounding guitar, and laminates have advantages, mainly that they are more trouble free, as far as getting out of adjustments and needing luthier attention. I had an Alvarez Yairi with laminate back and sides that I loved. I’ll also add, to amplify my confusion here, that I prefer the 1 11/16 nut width neck on the Taylor 200 series over the 1 3/4” nut width necks on the more upscale Taylors. I don’t get why primarily electric players like the 1 3/4” nut width necks. Coming from Fenders and Gibsons, they feel too wide for me.

I've never been a strictly acoustic guitar player, and at this point when I was shopping if I'm honest it was kind of an afterthought. The little Martin was basically a composite design but was so reliable and strong against adverse weather conditions ( it was used on the beach CONSTANTLY ) that I didn't consider the tone aspect nearly as much as the other factors. Since I've had this guitar I've played infinitely more acoustic than I had to that point, and I tend to agree that I would be less likely to buy an acoustic that is laminate for recording/gigging purposes. Also I couldn't explain the neck I couldn't explain, it just felt right in my hands.

12 years ago, I was looking for a good acoustic guitar. Was between a 214ce and a Breedlove (that was recommended by a friend). Bought the Breedlove (which at that time didn’t make cheap guitars). Don’t regret it. My Breedlove is a lot better than that Taylor.

    • @AudiomoMusic
      @AudiomoMusic  3 роки тому +1

In all of my years of playing guitar, I have never played a breedlove nor seen one in person at a store. I am very rarely in that section of guitar stores to begin with, but you're not the first one to rave about them. I'll have to check them out when I see one in person.

For the $$$$...any Japan built Takamine sounds and looks better..the Yamaha 16-26-36 are a better playing and sound better than this guitar...imo...Taylor's don't start matching these guitars til you hit the 300 series
