Very useful little video. No complicated jargon and everything explained in simple, easy to understand language. I treated myself to a Canon EOS 2000D for my 60th birthday and haven't had many opportunities to go out and play around with it. Thanks to this video, I now know how to make the necessary adjustments, and why. Thanks for putting up this video, and I am more than happy to subcribe.
I must say that this is the clearest and articulate example of how to adjust the shutter, aperture and, ISO that I've seen. I was baffled by each until I saw this example. Thank you for breaking it down and communicating and clarifying in simplistic language how to do this.
I cannot thank you enough for this free invaluable information. I am a senior trying to figure out this Rebel T6 and I bought a 90mm macro lens too. Just knowing the basics is a huge help in trying to take pictures of jewelry for Ebay sales. Thanks so much for your time. Greatly appreciated and easy to understand.
I'd given up on learning how to use a camera and photography until I found your videos. I've watched so many others trying to explain these points but your clear communicating makes it easy to understand. Thank you so much!
You, sir, are a legend. So simple but comprehensive explanation! Most other tutors on YT expect people to already know about the subject matter and use a lot of jargons and technical terms. Thank you for thinking from a learner's viewpoint.
Just starting a BFA degree - Day 1 of classes for me, and my first photography class tells me to go learn about these things (changing ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed). I have a Canon EOS Rebel T7, and this video worked perfectly for me. Thank you for creating it!
This is the most helpful video. I almost gave up on my new Canon and just treated it like an ordinary camera. Thanks for the clear and useful explanation on Shutter Speed, Apeture, and ISO. I'm gonna watch your other videos and learn more.
I have been wandering around like a blind man until I found your video. I have subscibed and look foreward to watching and learning more from your videos. Thank you very much.
I had to come back to this video as I forgot how to adjust the aperture setting in M mode. Your full tutorial is the only one I needed too. Just got an old used Canon D400, has the STM 50mm lens. Great for a newb like me.
Fantastic - once you have your head around Aperture, shutter and ISO you will discover a whole new world of creative way of shooting ahead. Thanks for watching my videos. Paul @ Photo Genius
I have a canon 4000d camera but I had very little information about how to go about it. You are the first to make me fully understand camera setups. You are the best...one in a million. Thank doing much.
Thanks for the help in this video. We just bought a Canon EOS 3000D. Our first DSLR. Went to the Canon web site that wouldn't open. Found you channel and found some answers to what we wanted. Thanks again for us in New Zealand 🇳🇿

His videos are the best. He does a great job explaining the camera, providing tips, and talking slow enough to understand and follow along on your own camera. Great Job!
So I noticed on the auto mode on my EOS Rebel T6i, it can take a photo with an ISO at 4000. But how can that be, I cant find a way anywhere in any of the settings to get the ISO at 4000. The only ISO settings available are in preset increments. Any idea how I would go about setting my ISO to 4000?
An interesting question and one I'm afraid I cannot answer for you. I don't have a T6i but you could try going to the menu > Custom functions > Exposure level increments.

It's amazing what you can learn in 10 minutes from a UA-cam video than a semester of film school paying thousands of dollars
Been in school for film for 4 years and still lost about this... hence why I looked for this video. I feel you 😭😭🙏🖤
Indeed.
Literally can learn anything on youtube
Sadly true, we’ve moved past this in school nearly two months ago and this is my first time truly understanding it.

Summary:
-Low ISO: ~200
-Wide Aperture: F3.5 to 5.6
-Shutter Speed: If Sunny/Bright-> Faster; If Indoor-> Slower
depends on what shot you’re trying to do, for most portraits yeah
How do you get your aperture down to F 3.5? My Canon T 5i only goes down to F5.0
@@ChooChooRosenbloom It is lense dependent, you need a different lense.
