Right now my only true pikal is the fox 826 pikal but my cold steel kiridashi feels great in pikal grip too. With snaggletooth mod ofcourse.
I'd 100% cut myself. lol Of all the Pikal inspired knives, that one looks most like a regular knife even with the handle orientation. I'd forgot that the sharp edge is on the other wide at some point. It is hard to avoid today, but I much rather a fold over sheath than these canoe paddle sheaths twice as wide as the blade.
Definitely needs that handle " upgrade." I'll stick with the Unzipper.
Also a great blade!
Tbh, 4 inches is a little long for a pikal. Most designs tend to be for blades 3 1/2 inches and lower because that's the range where this style excels, with the exception of the tops unzipper, and that's because they copied and pasted from a previous design.
It is certainly on the bigger side!
Not even mad at it!
Do you have a favorite pikal?
I love the CCK series of knives from Halfbreed Blades, I already have enough pikal blades in my collection. As a side note, have you seen the new Yummy knife from Bastinelli in collaboration from GN with Funker Tactical? They just released the production model and been eyeing that knife since the prototype dropped. Also been carrying the Fury karambit, which is another knife no one has reviewed or really even talked about. Love the videos as always.

In your experience, would you take this over the Tops El Pionero? I love the reverse edge system and have been carrying the El Pionero for months now. I would like to know what you would carry for a backup/last resort defense system. If you could only carry one into a sketchy situation which one would you pick? Thanks for the awesome video 🤙
Oooh great question!! If you want a tool for everyday use AND self defense the El Pionero is an amazing and versatile choice - I think this Pikal is a strong leader for “backup blade” (assuming you get a handle on there) because it makes a large package opening area… Final thoughts El Pionero for discrete carry and all around use - This CFK-02 if you want a nasty option for personal protection

I believe it is a PVD Coating
