- with me prioritizing some non-destiny content for the rest of 2024 (outside of active Destiny times), i couldn't tell you the next time that i'll have enough destiny highlights to comprise a 10 minute video. also, the highlight videos are some of the worst performers on the channel now, so i thought we'd go out with a bang, with all the clips i've gotten during into the light and final shape for an extended highlights video. if i do upload highlight videos again in the future, all non-destiny clips will be put into their own highlights on my new channel @HelloDatto .

It’s unfortunate that these highlight videos are not performing that well for you, because they are some of my favorite videos on your channel! It’s always nice to see the funny moments that come across both in your gameplay as well as brimstone and Danielle. I am not exaggerating when I say that your stream highlights are among my favorite UA-cam videos ever. The first 5 or so are what got me into watching your content back in the day when I was just discovering Destiny UA-cam after playing for a couple years. It’s bullshit that UA-cam’s algorithm has been built to screw over some of the best content on its platform. I am happy though that you are back to uploading on HelloDatto, I know it’s a lot of work maintaining two channels but you are truly such a good content creator that I’m interested in more than just what you’re uploading for Destiny

Wow, it genuinely hurt seeing the title, I've been watching datto since middle school and I really didn't have the time to sit and be committed to multiple hours twitch streams (I still don't) The highlights we're some of my favorite videos because it showed some of the best highlights on what I missed as well as have funny edits to go along with dattos humor. I get that they are low performance, but wow.... that title really hit hard since I've been around since the very first one.
Stream highlight videos have been my favorite content of yours for years I have literally watched every single one of them.

The sherpa dono runs was such a good day. Probably one of the best days I have memories of in my time with Destiny 2. So nice seeing people just play the game together, and have fun, for a good cause

He's gonna sit in a chair, and read TWABs and blogs, that's Datto nowadays. High quality good content isn't a thing anymore. Datto is 100% "Views over everything else" now, which is funny since with Destiny on the way out and seeing other D2 youtubers trying to swap off D2, Datto isn't lasting much longer. nothing separates him anymore from all the other shit tier content creators reading a TWAB and calling it a video
Breaks my heart this content is going away, feels like some of the only high effort content left on the channel besides guides. Sucks to see a majority of content just being "I'm reading from a TWAB with my face cam on" but I guess that's what pulls in views and that''s what you're going for long run. o7, it was a good run. Views > Everything else kinda UA-camr these days I suppose.

My sister didn't start playing destiny until season of the seraph, and before that, the only exposure she ever had to Destiny was watching the Datto stream highlight videos I would send to her. Even people who have never played destiny can enjoy the highlights videos because it's just universal chaotic fun and enjoyment. Hopefully this series will return with a vengeance one day
The videos may not perform well but Dattos' performance is always top notch

I go back regularly and watch them, especially when life is doodoo. But for now, thanks for posting them. This rando on the internet appreciates it.
I don't watch much highlights for any streamers, but I would always watch datto's as they're very good, funny, and entertaining. It being the last for the foreseeable future is saddening but totally understandable given the context.

I'll miss these alot...They were some of my favorite videos to re-watch from time to time. I'll still quote some of them now and again, if it's not conducive to healthy channel growth then I understand and support those decisions, but It'll be sad to call the highlights playlist a complete playlist from here on out.

I remember just playing d1 or d2 and just having the stream highlights play as background noise and it was some of the best time I had honestly bc hearing old Datto is a thing of beauty, sad these aren’t as popular as the other videos but to me these are one of my favs besides the retrospective ones
I've religiously watched all the highlights since it was my favoite thing to come home to after a long day and it saddens me that YT does this but hope you come back to it at some point if it ever becomes possible😢
