Honestly I really enjoy these topics that no other channel really talks about, it’s like less “relevant” than other type of music news/drama but I enjoy the conversations
Honestly this cleo and ice spice situation (and the reactions to it calling cleo ungrateful) made me realize that opening acts / new artists should be treated better,. Just because the industry is used to treating newer artists/ opining acts like sh1t doesn't make it right. And just cause past opening artists suffered in the past doesn't mean new ones should too. Things gotta change.
i really love your takes on the music industry, especially as someone who's in it but at a smaller scale. I saw your arena video and I think I will sub
This was so informative! I’ve always loved music and have gone back and forth on posting my own music and being an artist, so being able to learn stuff like this that isn’t usually discussed is amazing! New subscriber🙌🏾
I'm completely out of knowing anything about music news, which is usually a blessing to just engage with music without baggage. But does mean you don't get to know about artists' questionable behavior. But yeah nice topic. One thing I think is people should try to make their local scene better and play at local spaces rather than tour. Obv doesn't work for everyone but I do enjoy the amount of people in bristol who regular still play there.
G I’ll never forget going on to see Zack Villere in 2020, hopped on a bus to go to Missouri, didn’t plan so I didn’t have a hotel set up with no money… 😂 anyway… these two Jon B looking dudes hopped on stage and starting singing the SMOOTHEST R&B. These fools played Conessions by Usher and some dope original music, DID I MENTION THEY’RE TWINS. Dude I was flabbergasted and I chopped it up with them when Zack was performing. They’re called. “Mulherin” Thank me later.
glad i watched this. me and the bros are about to go on tour in support of babytron and blp kosher in november. we're helping our friend nasaan open up for them. should be interesting
The point of going on someone elses tour isnt actually playing shows tho. Being recognized with someone elses more known brand is the whole point. It’s like posting your own story vs drake having you on his story. It doesn’t help you grow in the same way
Drake fan here, saw him in concert and sexxy redd was the opener i had never heard of her before or seen her and i left that concert and listened to her project. Sidenote: she was wayyy more entertaining than 21 savage on stage, just like more presence hard to explain but true
Lets talk about how earsplitting Mk.gee's opener was in BK Idk if its the same everywhere, but I hope not🙅🏽♀️ the vibe was so different even if they also are experimental. I've never seen an opener so jarringly different than the main act. Apocalyptic jungle rave is not it
If your an opener you better have absolute bangers that win the crowed over immediately
Sometimes the guy before the guy is better
‼️‼️

Your talking to yourself, hip hop is a beef culture, they want drama or they would have nothing else to talk about

As a artist I'd love to open for a big artist but ik it's a tough crowd if you ain't got no real buzz
soo real

One of my fav pairings of the year has been Teezo Touchdown and Laundry Day
This is a different perspective about the whole Ice Spice drama. That I haven’t seen anyone else talk about!! Great video ❤️

Almost at 10k subs woohoo!
sooo close yet so far
When you shouted out Bonnie Raitt, i knew now you are a real one. ❤
Even Michael Jackson went broke and had to sell his house to do his final tour
Thats why i think throwing your own shows is the wave. You could pay for your own show rather then paying to get on a tour.

Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan blew up off touring with another artist.
@@MattBrady-k5oyeah id never pay to see 21 or summer walker. Zero stage presence but yeah opening is to get new fans
Dude I learned so much in this video
Whose your management company? And what company were y'all going through for opener tours? That's about the same as Afton pay lol
im not w my managers anymore (its all love though) but my agent was at Wasserman. im not familiar with Afton but i googled them after this comment
i think benee and wallows are a great pair

hahah i thought it was pretty cool but you definitely were not the only person who thought that
This was recommended to me
went to a pavement concert a few months ago and the opening band had some of the worst vocals ive heard by a rock band it was rough
Name the name!!
Paying a drummer seems unfeasible
