I saw him play when Lillake came to Houston with Megadeth. They were the first ones to play and man was it mesmerizing seeing him play live! I loved it! When they got off stage and we were waiting for Tesseract to play, he came through the crowd and brushed up against me on the left shoulder and I was like omg! It's Eric Moore! but he walked by super fast to be able to get a picture with him.. It was still pretty badass.. lol

Not a single bad word about all the other great perfomances, but as far as I'm concerned Eric Moore takes the Drumeo award for this year! (Also for the facial expressions during playing btw.)

how many years are needed to do that
HK Kongou might not even have to be years, it just depends on your quickness and repetitive motion to keep practicing it , I leaned how to do that after practicing for a couple of weeks - a month
HK Kongou looks like he's doing doubles split between Tom and hi hat while doing whatever he's doing with the bass drum haha.
Curious, drummers spend a lot on their kit, then throw a blanket into the base drum, why?
The blanket is any easy way to get rid of unwanted overtones when recording.

It's not like he's wearing the wrong team's jersey, they're musical instruments. Appreciate the musician, not the gear.
Don't get me wrong he has great chops and a better drummer than me but just playing fast all the time doesn't sound very musical. When we talk we form words and sentences, not just blab out random syllables that have no form. It's the same way in a drum solo.

Thanks for the suggestion! I really like his style and that's exactly what I was talking about. He sounds so musical and doesn't worry about just playing so fast all the time
