For anyone Wondering about the manpower...I honestly don't know. This is the save as it was when I downloaded it....

It didnt really matter to me or bother me, it took alot of skill regardless to win that scenario. Looking forwards what crazy save game youll fix nzxt!

I knew this day would come. First, they send tricky situations. Then, saves of some serious stands. Then come critical saves. Then impossible. Then a save, where everything was done upsidedown like the one with the USSR. Now this. "Save a capitulated Germany". Next level of this challenge would be, probably, a crushed non-HOI4 file, containing Excel sheets and our favorite UA-camr will work it into a successful landing on the British Isles.

Poland can be strong but make frontlines, build weapons and wait for the purge effect to start to become less powerful, then attack poland and use tanks to encircle their divisions (in the top near Lithuania you can encircle like 20 divisions) and then watch Poland die also dont accept molotov Ribbentrop pact
@@wqxdv2145 Why even care about the purge? justify on Tanu Tuva after the purge and annex them. Then do lessons of war (Is this a good strategy?)
I find disaster saves in HOI4 and EU4 so fascinating just bc a good player would never organically get in such a bad situation with such resources (very different from like a game start as a tiny tag or something), so it really flexes a different kind of problem solving than you usually see. Another great vid!
Fun fact the one to get in that bad situation was me XD. yes my savegame i sent to alex the rambler and got here was mine. Actually very informative.
I'm still not sure how you got there, but I really enjoyed the experience
@@Bitt3rSteel Let's just say... not very legitimatly... as i said on another comment i used a mod to help with manpower as i wanted to beat the game even if not legitimatly, I was very close to beating russia, like west of the urals when the allies took germany so i just wanted to fast track that so i could free up divisions, not like anyones gonna judge if i cheated lol. idk I seriously need to get better at hoi4, i would say im slightly better than i was like 6 months ago though, but the airplane thing and convoy raiding and confirming 40 width can be better was helpful. Well fun you did this anyways, very enjoyable :) .
btw it was singleplayer.

I like the mental image of your tanks driving back to stop the naval invasions and coming back to the front lines with the tanks covered in captured rifles and they dump them off to the infantry before going back to another behind the lines invasion and just repeating the process. It’s like clockwork

Bitter if you go to the combat log (where you check equipment losses by theater), you can get a closer look at the encirclements when you close them. It's really satisfying to see combat with 500:250k losses

This was epic! On a side note Guderian was known as schneller Heinz (Speedy Heinz) In his youth, I guess it's true with those speedy medium tank bois. Totally an opportunity to play Sabaton's ghost division haha. Also those sweet sweet overruns!! Literally collapsed on the floor from the dopamine hits, all those red letters.
Woooow you are the man. That was seriously impressive. I wouldnt have thoughr the convoy raiding to be so succesfull! Btw, i thought when the allies reaches berlin it would have triggered the event "hitler found death", but euhm "miraculously" he managed to escape it seems.
I'm fairly sure at least some of this save was tampered with (like the manpower) but it was fun none the less
@@Bitt3rSteel it might not have been I have gotten capitulated as Germany before after allied took Berlin and nothing happens the game was still fine

I love these. Not because I find them too interesting. It's HOI4, after so many thousands of hours. It's really hard to find someone else playing the game interesting. But that's besides the point. I like this because it shows me what I nowadays can't do. I haven't been in danger of capitulating since my second game of Hoi4.
My first I played Brazil with the goal of taking SA but didn't know what infrastructure was when attacking through the Amazon. Second I played Turkey with the goal of forming the Ottoman(pre dlc), but wasn't able to beat Bulgaria. Now, if I haven't managed to put myself in a position to fight the world at once by 1941. I consider myself too be in for a tough ride.
How playing for 1.5 years affects someone.

I love encirclements like that. My last playthrough I encircled about half the Comintern forces in Poland as the EU. Over 100 divisions gone and about 2 million casualties.

It's actually because, as part of devotion to his job, has learnt every single town, provence and state in the world

I can attest for Romanian provinces that besides mostly Paradox's fault for not using the whole alphabet, he does pronounce them pretty good

Have you thought about making a series similiar to this, "judging peoples saves"? Viewers would sent you their saves (not only disasters, but wins, wars, build ups etc) and you would look over them and talk about them, what works, what doesnt, where things should be changed. It would be kinda like a tutorial. I for one have a recent Soviet Union save and I would be interested about your opinion on what Ive done

This campaign reminds me of my try at bad romeance where it was me as greece vs the entirety of europe and the us. Luckily i had the russians as a puppet. I managed to free europe at about 1960 after inflicting 120m casualties
