Great vlog. I was in Gibraltar the same time as you guys. (First 2 weeks of August 21) I've got family there. Planning on driving down from UK next summer.

I love your editing its bloody superb. Often you will find a little hand pump nozzle on top of the diesel fuel filter. When a diesel runs out of fuel its better to pump it until its back under pressure. Diesels hate dragging shit through the system hence why the pump is there. I hope that helps mate

Hi, My husband and I would like to visit Gibraltar next year as part of our Spain tour. We also take our dog, a German shepherd, with us. I can see from the video that your dog is enjoying the trip and her reaction to the monkeys is completely normal, she is a protector :) I would like to ask, is it dangerous for a dog to climb to the top of the rock? Our dog is young (4 years old), will he be able to walk all the way up? Are there any dangerous sections along the way? Thank you very much and I wish you many more great experiences with your dog. :)

Hi and welcome to the channel! Nah there are no covid checks crossing into Gib or back into Spain. At least there wasn’t… neither of us are jabbed 🙂
What did the guys in the van up the rock tell you?
They were park rangers and they told us that if the monkeys were an issue with Sen we should stand our ground, pick up a rock and pretend to throw it.
If one of those monkeys bites you you will need rabies shots.

As the people in the right place, do you know if the car ferries are now allowing camper travel between Spain and Morocco and back for double jabbed UK passengers transiting through Spain? Were planning to go there next month via Spain and return the same way. It seems you can buy a ferry ticket but not sure its guaranteeing you a crossing.
Hope your still coming to the Vanlife eats big picnic. Still need to chat to you about overlanding to Thailand etc

So as far as the ferry; we were both under the impression that they are not allowing any ferry passings between Spain and Morocco ( more of a political issue than COVID). But we will ask around some friends who might know more and let you know :D unfortunately we aren’t able to make it to the big picnic due to some unforeseen circumstances :( I am gutted about that. But we can still talk Thailand!
@Barry Griffin So it seems as though there are no ferrys from Spain at the moment, but you can go from France (and possibly Italy) so Morocco is still an option :D

Utterly disgraceful to endanger your dog like that and even the monkeys. You could see they were all stressed, your dog and the wildlife around you. You should think before you take your dog anywhere among wild animals. You’re so lucky that you or your dog were not attacked. I’ve no idea why you filmed this and posted it. Only people who have never been to Gibraltar or don’t care about animals will find this amusing
Very dramatic comment, it was a minor issue.
That’s why the video was called why not to take your dog up the rock - people who are not from gibraltar wouldn’t even know this can be an issue, even the signs show that dogs are allowed up there on the lead.
We lived in Gibraltar these monkeys come down the rock and eat out of dustbins and hang around peoples homes, if it’s so cruel why do dozens of minibuses take hundreds of tourists up there and feed them human food. When they used to swing in branches over the walkways into the main square it’s quite scary but I don’t think they will have been affected particularly by the walk in this video.
