Let's not forget how much inspiration Grand Theft Auto Vice City took from this movie
Honestly. It makes GTA Vice City so much more incredible ~
Yeah Vice City was the baby born from Miami Vice and Scarface Florida's 2 Masterpieces of the Small Screen and Big Screen
And GTA3 too, the radio station flashback FM is only music from the movie.
Fun fact: there's a video game in 2006 (Scarface: The World Is Yours) that came out where Tony survived the end, got revenge and regained his spot atop of the criminal underworld. Pacino lent his likeness did not return to voice Montana yet handpicked the actor that did! Sequels (the most immediate set to take place in Vegas) to the game were planned only for the rights to be moved around from studio to studio, leading to those plans going unfulfilled.
I remember playing that game, the most memorable thing about it was it telling where people “got hit” lol
@@dantesellars4941"balls"
I loved that game even though it gets bad press
Very underrated game. Definitely needs a remastered
I loved that game. It was gta before gta.
The fact that Pacino was able to take an over the top psychopath like Tony and make him not only likeable but sympathetic is a real testament to his incredible talent. It’s one of his defining performances.
Oh no, The Devil’s Advocate that was a defining performance but this was memorable and delivered a message.
It’s fun seeing Jen giving facts about the movie instead of Holden.
Also I love that Holden says it’s a family friendly channel before they start watching Scarface😂
HAHAHAA
"I always tell the truth, even when I lie"
Fun fact: The guy Tony shots in the car/Sosa's assistent or whatever, is the same actor who portrays Hector Salamanca from Breaking Bad.
Also Manny is played by Steven Bauer who was Don Eladio in BB
There are a bunch of Scarface actors in BrBa. Manny plays Don Eladio in BrBa. And there's obviously Mike.
edit: my bad, it wasn't Mike. It was Hector Salamanca
@@Pir-o I didn't see Mike in Scarface. I know he was in Beverly Hills Cop.
@@JamesDavis-sh9gh Hmm you know what maybe I misremembered that.
But the guy who was about to blow up a car in Scarface was Mark Margolis, Hector Salamanca.
greed. And seeing it countless times we can agree it's a classic masterpiece.
No freaking way holden hasnt watched scarface and the Godfather?? Thats insane.
I watched this at 13 and the Godfather at 17. Scarface will always be my favorite movie of all time.
The lines from this movie are way too iconic.
That’s a wild age to watch Scarface lol
@@CHRISPYakaKONI remember watching 'Blood in Blood out', 'American History X' and 'Goodfellas' by the time I was 10, lol. Usually with my older cousins.
@@CHRISPYakaKON I was 8 😂😂
@@KaliCush Same I saw all those before i was even 10 😂😂
I was really young when I watched this and other movies like it. Also played GTA2, 3, VICE CITY, and all the others when they first came out. Hmm, maybe that's why I'm so desensitized to the world around me, lol
Never seen Jen having so much fun you should do more hard R rated movies, look at that smile she was like a kid in a candy store.😊
Jens taste in movies is pure 🔥 😂 she showed her husband training day!!
Facts😂🔥
The Godfather 1 and 2 should be next
9:55 So what you’re saying is… Glenn was not cast.. but she was Close…
Ba dum, tissss
Please let Jen show Holden more stuff 😂😂
Jen is hilarious!
What did she do as a kid, say bye to the Tony poster before goin to school?
"i gotta big test today Tony..wish me luck!"
The place where Tony's brother dies is a cvs now but still has the stairs
I believe Steven Spielberg actually directed the scene at the end with the men storming Tony's home and he and DePalma are good friends, which makes sense and is pretty cool
I had a "gangster" phase too growing up like Jen lol
When Jen said, "The Comment of The Day!" she showed us a decent heavy metal voice. 😅 Should be in a band lol
Oh yeah 🔥🔥🔥
Scarface is one of my favorite crime movies of all time, and I’m shocked that Holden has never seen this. Love that you seen this, and showed him this. Awesome reaction 💯😎
The entire South park KFC episode was based off scarface and it makes it that much better! glad you guys can see that in 4k 😂😂
A great movie in my opinion in the somewhat the same spirit as this one is "Blood in Blood out". If none of you have seen it I would highly recommend it. Great soundtrack and great acting even if most of the main cast are unheard of.
R.i.p. Ray Liotta Goodfellas PLEEEEEEASE consider reacting to such a movie!
Man u never get to see jen so excited this was a cool intro lol
Love this classic movie I never clicked on a video so fast
I’m a minute in and I can confidently say that I’ve seen the funniest part of the video when Holden said that we’re probably surprised he hasn’t seen this move. I belly-laughed and said to my tv “Not the TINIEST bit surprised!” 😂
So far so good. I mean THIS intro....🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I believe the guy who gets hung from the helicopter is F. Murray Abraham the guy who voices Khonshu in Moon Knight
Loved the intro 😂😂😂
I can't believe Jen dropped a "To Be Fair" on THAT scene, wow!
This is a remake of the 1930's version of the same name, though that version is about Prohibition. The director of this, Brian De Palma, also directed the 1976 version of Carrie. I recommend watching the Netflix series Narcos, which takes place around the same time as this
I can't believe Holden didn't even mention, "Say Hello to my Little Friend!"
Man, I'm only 3 minutes into the video, but this is by far the most entertaining commentary you've filmed...
Since Mask of Zorro, that is...
I had the poster where he's sitting with the mound of white. But we wrecked on the way home from vacation in the rain and it went flying out the trunk and was ruined lol
It's kinda ironic that Tony died because he didn't want to kill a mother and child. After all, all he have in this world is his balls and his word, and he don't break 'em for no one.
Wild, I asked for these types of movies when you started, my girlfriend watches series. ❤
You guys should do The Crow next
My favorite mafia movie ever. Everything about it is no less than excellent: The story, the characters, the dialogues, the direction, the music choice, the message, everything, from the first second to the last.
It may not be perfect, but it's sprinkled with small details that add for personal enjoyment. Like, this movie inspired GTA Vice City, one of my favorite videogames ever. Or that it shows my home State of Cochabamba, Bolivia, from where I'm writing right now. (Although it's clearly rural Cochabamba, aka Narco Country, but hey, if 1 hour away from my home city is the closest a Hollywood superproduction will show, I'll take it).
18:24 If Jen and Holden come up missing in the next few days blame this Guy!
20:45 is a really funny cut. love the vids
After Training Day and some others 🤔...
Mrs is definitely the REAL gangsta in that couple 👍✌️
Yes.
Never have i woken up to see something that i didn't need but glad i received it
top tier movie, my uncle made me watch this movie at age 12 back to back with Pink Floyd the Wall and The Shinning
YESSS It’s about time. I been waiting on this video
I’ve never clicked a video so quick.
Tarantino got the KILL BILL SOUND that you referenced from the 70s TV show IRONSIDE. It's in the TV show intro
Love the sub genre of the gangster movies. If Jen seen a lot of gangster movies. Did she ever watch the movie Blood in Blood Out?
I got that exact shirt on rn😂
Con air is super fun.
Jen, U R a legend for showing a first timer the world of Tony Montana.
@24:31 is the scene Spielberg directed
Somehow, just somehow, without reading the title yet but just glancing at the thumbnail, I knew this was a movie Jen was introducing to Holden. Lol
whaaa ??? i’m honestly so shocked Holden has never seen this movie haha no wayyy dude this movie is fs a good classic movie , the eyes chico .. they never lie
Holden, Quentin Tarantino got that sound you were mimicking from the 1970s cop show called "Ironside".
Jen im an Al Pacino fanatic i have seen every movie he has made since the 70's and i thought i knew everything but i never heard about that Cocaine thing..wouldnt be surprised if its true, some actors go to great lengths to imbody these characters..thats crazy..thanks😊
Great reaction,Scarface is a classic and it was fun watching how excited Jen was lol. If you want to watch another classic gangster movie you should watch “Blood In, Blood Out” I don’t think many ppl know this movie but everyone in L.A. knows this movie.
OH MYYYY what a classic
Oh this was fun!! 😊 Pretty old movie, but hey it's a classic. The way Al Pacino talks and acts in this is just so enjoyable. 👌
I would love for you both to watch the biographical "Megan Leavey". Dogs + Marines + Female lead, what else does one need? 👀 I often asked for it, but I will keep trying! ❤
i remember playing the Scarface game on ps2 and you could get the cut scene of tony death start of the game
As a Cuban this movie is my holy grail lol
Jen: I’m not saying I condone it
😂
Great choice of movie, honestly a classic.
May I recommend 'blood in, blood out bound by honor' and 'sin nombre'
Now that you have seen Scarface,, you need to watch the Scarface school play 😆
Not sure if it has been said yet, Harris Yulin who played the corrupt detective was one of the Three Wiseman cops in Training Day.
Yes con air next!
I didn't have the black and white poster, I had the poster of him walking by the pool in the white suit , red shirt and, glasses
Lana Clarkson is also in this (which was released the same year she also played a very...exposed role in Deathstalker in which Richard Brooker - who played Jason Voorhees in Friday The 13th Part 3 - was also among the three main characters) and was killed 20 years later by Phil Specter.
Hello Holden & Jen!😊 Jen is looking very cute! The police handled the Tammy Lynn Leppert case poorly. The assassin in the car is the landlord in "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective". The only people that survived were Tony's wife and mother. Great reactions to the classic 80s Scarface, Hardman's!!!!🎬👏👏👏👏
In the vhs version nick fury does indeed show up at the end. He takes scarfaces mangled body and rebuilds him but now tony has to wear a weird breathing mask or hell die but now darth tony can join the avengers but then brian depalma got sued and so they never added darth tony to the avengers.
Heat should be next on your list. Pacino vs De Niro in the holy grail of heist movies
No. Tarantino got the kill bill siren sound from the Kung Fu Classic Flying Guillotine. If I'm not mistaken.
Scarface is one of those iconic movie settings. 70s/80s era Miami with rogue cops, drug dealings/busting, fast crime drama and fire fights with the colors and high spirits of living your life with you don’t know if next day you resting in pool with money/power or resting in bottom of the sea dead with crabs eating you.
Another Brian De Palma film with Al Pacino I highly recommend is Carlito's Way, hands down my favorite gangster film and Brian De Palma movie, I even named my cat Carlito after that movie.
My favorite movie since I was 10. And loved the video game
I think the restaurant scene is what made a star out of Michelle Pfeiffer. She really kills it in that scene. I would also recommend the original version of "Scarface" with Paul Muni and George Raft.
Carlito’s Way is literally basically a spiritual successor to this film since it has a lot of the same cast, Director and has many parallels to this. Scarface is one of the greatest remakes ever but Carlito’s Way is actually a far more emotional story. It’s set in the 70s but has Pacino being released from Prison and being a former legendary criminal. An under-rated masterpiece.
Today in 'and now for something completely different'. Great selection.
I hope this means you'll get around to The Godfather; a serious must-see.
And I hope one day maybe 1982's Gandhi.
I’m 10 days late but this is my favorite movie. Especially since I am from Miami and I am Cuban. This movie has the best quotes out of any other movie and I love Al Pacino. You both need to watch The Godfather next.
Im very glad y'all watched this classic. Jen have you ever seen menace to society thats a good crime movie and coming of age black story. You guys should consider watching.
This is a fantastic movie. Surprised Holden has never seen it
One of the most enjoyable movies ever~
bros winning at life
Y’all should do The Godfather and The Godfather II!! If y’all haven’t watched it, please do. The greatest movies of all time and such amazing performances, the entire cast pulled their weight.
Con Air for sure!
I saw the title of the video and immediately said "How does this happen?! Holden Thomas Hardman!" 😂
EDIT: 2:57 WHAT? 😮
Y'all should watch American Gangster if you haven't seen it. A lot of similarities to this movie, and it's got Denzel in it!
Should be a fun edit lol
That was the girl from Unsolved Mysteries?!!!!
I was wondering who she was.
“How’d you get the scar tough guy..eating pineapple?”
the hand holding *sigh* you two kiddos make me wanna believe in love again.
Great Movie
Check out the movies GoodFellas(1990) this is based on a true story and American Gangster(2007) this is inspired by a true story.
"Joo wanna play ruff. Uhkay."
Said everyone after watching this movie who's ever played any first person shooter and got headshot.
Watch these Comedies: (Real Movie) It’s Hard Not to Love Mrs. Doubtfire, The Ringer, Date Night, UA-cam Gabriel Iglesias: Stadium Fluffy, UA-cam Jo Koy : Don't Make Him Angry ,Air Bud and Buddies Movies , You Don't Mess with the Zohan
Al Pacino has played probably these top 2 most iconic american gangsters in cinematic history, and it's fascinating just what completely different characters and personalities each one is.
A guy like that won't and shouldn't last long!
Honestly, now that you've mentioned Tarantino, i feel like the final battle of Django takes a lot of inspiration from this too
Hi! I did a short from this video. Where can I send it to you?
Oh no why is Jen holding the teacup grip in the thumbnail 😭😭
I have never sat down an watch Scarface but ive. Seen a lot of it randomly that It feels like I have, tho I'm saving it and godfather and the wire for when I'm completely bored
Con air yes!
Carlito's way is another fantastic pacino film worth reacting to
13:49 When you said "South Park + KFC," I was thinking "Family Guy + chicken fights."
17:42 "I NEVER did NOTHING to NOBODY." Triple negative? I guess it cancels out.
19:48 If only women today were like that. Hell, people in general, especially in hip hop. Got so bad I turned metalhead.
