Amanda from Cinetopia sits down with the director of THE CASTLE, Martin Benchimol, to discuss his award winning documentary-fiction hybrid film set in the Argentinian Pampa region.
The Castle world premiered at Berlinale at 2023 and won the HORIZONTES AWARD, 71st at the San Sebastian Festival. This is Benchimol's solo directorial debut.
Castle Synopsis: Having worked as a housekeeper all her life, Justina inherits from her former employer a mansion in the middle of the Argentinian pampas. Under one condition: she must never leave. In this modern fairytale, Justina and her daughter will face the challenges of keeping that promise alive.
