I've been thinking of you and like everyone else has said before me... I'm so So SO glad to see you back! You're my favorite too resource to encourage me in my homeschool journey. Your wisdom is precious!
I was raised in public school and you are totally right, history was my least favorite subject! It was so dry & boring. My husband was homeschooled and LOVED history. He got to experience the "stories" behind history and because of him and homeschooling my son, I've found history so much more interesting now too! Thanks for sharing these resources. These look like some great books.
We have To Every Nation 1&2 curriculum from Not Consumed. It uses 24 missionary books from YWAM. I want to get all the books that YWAM have, 50 from the missionary series and I think 50 from the History series. We have all the Rush Limbaugh children's books, very cute books and gives a lot of information in story form. I bought myself a binding machine for Mother's Day this year, life changing 😆
Welcome back Sherry! I love having you back. These are great resources. I love Wallbuilders. Our family listens to WallbuildersLive from time to time. The podcast is online and its great. Rick Green has some awesome ConstitutionAlive classes for kids and adults alike. My husband found a great book also from Sam's Club or Costco that is called "We the People" and it has documents and writings of the founding fathers including the Federalist papers and Thomas Paine's "Common Sense." I found the 1776 Commision report. Thank you so much!
Thank you! I think I actually receive Rick Green's email, but I rarely have time to read that stuff :P I think my daughter bought that set for her kids--all great resources I didn't include--thank you for inputting. The 1776 Commission report is something we all need to read.
You bring so much fun to your videos! Now I know just what to pull from Heritage History for this year - Coffin's books. I LOVE that site and have been using it since you mentioned it in one of your videos, but there is so much on it, which can be overwhelming! So, THANK YOU for ALL these wonderful suggestions:) You are a blessing...
Repeating what many others have said, but I wanted to let you know how thrilled I am to see you back!! I honestly feel like you are my homeschool mentor, since I don't have anyone in that role in my life. Also, since implementing so many of your suggestions, we have found so much more enjoyment in our "school" time. Thank you!!!💗 Praying for you.
So glad you’re back! You always offer a wealth of wisdom that is so refreshing. Thank you! Our family has loved using Charles C. Coffin’s books. It seems all other history books we have read fall short. Encouraged to see how you integrate these books into your history studies. Blessings!
I’m so so glad to see this video!!! I have loved your content. It has helped me so much prepare for this upcoming school year! We are going to try the Hamilton’s arithmetic ♥️
You're back! :) Thank you for making time for us amid all the life changes and burnout, and for sharing these resources. Your perspective of History as God's story is one of the main reasons I watch, History is my favorite subject - growing up, I rarely read it from a textbook (all thanks to the woman I am blessed to call Marmie). The Christian Heroes series is a winner here, too. We've read a mere 3 thus far (so many books, so little time) - George Mueller, Corrie ten Boom, and Adoniram Judson - and through them my girls have been exposed to faith through immense trials, redemption, geography, etc. If I had to teach from any books apart from the Bible, it would be Christian biographies. I'm mid-way through your book, Glorious Mothering, and from one mother to another, I want to thank you for the chapters on worry and overwhelm especially.
I was just thinking about you this week and I'm really glad to see this video. I'll be looking for your blog post as some of these resources look wonderful.

I was PS'd, too, so homeschooling opened up a fascinating world for me. I am so thankful more people are rediscovering the joys of a true education.
So glad you’re back! Love your videos. Just read your book this year too. It was wonderful 😌 thanks for sharing these resources today.
You're so welcome! Glad you enjoyed the book :)

Yeah! You're back.
Yay! Your back!
I highly recommend reading biographies to learn history. I don't however like the YWAM books they're dry, boring and not well written.
I understand. There are lots of biographies written at a higher level, but these do pretty well for general information.
