Love kayaking. My mom took me paddle boarding for the 4th of July and I enjoyed it as it is similar to kayaking but you’re standing or kneeling and it’s harder to capsize yourself. No, I haven’t capsized myself kayaking but I felt more in control paddle boarding. We were planning to watch the fireworks up there as well, but after 2 hours on the lake, we still had 3 hours until sunset so we just went home.
Totally agree. Fireworks are pretty, but I’m not paying, and I don’t like lighting them.

I've always wanted to try paddleboarding, too! I haven't capsized myself in the kayak yet 😆 but we got the sit on top ones that are a bit more stable than the sit inside ones.
