- Join me and Jack Edwards creator of Aetherpunk28! As we battle it out in the realm of Cyst! This is a full handicam BattleReport with all the fun and laughs we had in the game for your viewing pleasure!
This was a brutal and hilarious game, as all Turnip28 games are, we get straight stuck in!
Mission was Trouble in the fog from the core rules, both sides seeking out a known source of drinkable water from a well the locals told them of. As they stumble towards eachother through the thickening fog they start to smell something unique.
The Knights start getting a pleasant savoury smell of pork and broth whilst the the 42nd Crowberry Nackerteers smelt foul offal and odd fishy scents.
The fog begins to lift and the two warbands are facing off nearly at a bayonets width apart! WHO IS THIS!? OUTRAGEOUS, THEY WILL DRINK ALL THE GOOD STUFF, CHARGE!

I loved this battle report, all the fights were so cinematic. For some reason, I find low stakes fights between a bunch of goobers where everyone hits and saves on 5s and 6s exciting. Fantastic painting and modeling on both teams too, makes for an atmospheric overall video that captures the vibe of Turnip28 perfectly!

49:54 DUDE THIS UNLOCKED AN OLD CHILDHOOD MEMORY. For the longest time I kept remembering seeing a movie at my late grandma's house on the TV with that scene, now I know the title of the movie!

In the fog seems like such a funny deployment. Instead of placing them on opposite sides, you place them right next to each other
On of my favs, it's like the movie director says and action! Fight to the last man!
I love this ttrpg so far cause it just reminds me of combat scenarios in Dwarf Fortress. I like the idea anymore that the rules of combat or war in a game are more a simulation for the sake of entertainment than having to micromanage one pop-star minded adventurer in dnd.
Theres lots of fantastic wargames out there with varying complexity! Turnip28 is great as it's more focused on building a fun narrative, silly things happen and you have a laugh! Other games like Fallout Wasteland Warfare are alotnmore similar to an RPG in terms of complexity so depends what kind of game you like!

Awesome Battle Report and beautiful minis. BUT there is one thing i see quite often on youtube these days: why do people have beautifully modeled and painted minis and then play on a crappy non thematic mat with random, boring looking generic terrain?

48:19 I think the greed player have the priority to toff off not you. Toff off is the interupt of activating toff
It depends on who initiates the Toff off. The initiator calls it, the recipient chooses weapons then its simultaneous attacking.

Had to start fresh, got this one and the one I filmed with some old friends. I'd like to film more, but just had a baby so times super tight atm

Could be I did get shot by a cannon! You don't get vulnerability vs cannons lol
