My wife Martha, who grew up on a small west PA dairy farm, has been in a nursing home for the past three years with dementia. She understands much of what I say, and she enjoys laughter and music. She will be delighted to hear Roy Williams' song, which I'll play for her tomorrow. The love it expresses is the love I feel for her. Thank you for sharing it.
I enjoy your videos very much. I’m amazed how you tackle anything. I’ve never seen this type of cabin before. Keep up the great work. Your family is awesome.
Last week I made a comment which I regret, and I apologise. Heath, you have been allowing us to see your life for several years. It is not for me to criticise, I love seeing your endeavours, and hopefully you will continue to entertain us with your downloads for many years to come.
Is raising your deer for food for you and your family, for economic reasons ( to sell) or for conservation reasons? You’re spending a lot of time, money and effort. ❤️🇨🇦
Love seeing the progress on the cabin. Not sure if you were already using the grinder or if it was my comment or another viewer, but loved sing you using it and talking about it.
I have built quite a few timber structures. I would use a piece of chalk to mark where I put spikes. That way I made sure not to put one right on top of another and if I needed to cut an opening, I would know where the fasteners are. The cabin is looking good.
Good point, I was going to comment the same but as a question - would not it worse it to add a material in between to both handle the contractions between temperature changes but also improve the insulation assuming the straight cuts are not perfect?
A custom fit, quarter dome heat deflector would go a long way to keeping you warmer during this. I suppose any deflector would work to some degree.. you could move it to face wherever you are working around the fire.
I’d love to see Heath fab up a snow sled to pull behind the skid steer/excavator. Seems like it’d make some of these winter jobs a bit easier. Loving the 8-sides cabin project! Cheers to the Skinner family ❤
Just wondering, what are you building the cabin for ? The other one you built never gets mentioned so assuming it never gets used why build another ? Not a criticism just a question
If you want it to be traditional, door should face east towards the sunrise. Most of my work as an electrician has been on the Navajo Nation. Beautiful land.
Hey you all. I remember when you posted two times a week, would you consider going back? Or, 40-50 minutes one time a week (Sunday). I really love your family and pray for your family all the time. I feel like we are family. I love you all! ❤🙏🏻🦌
Spray foam and permachink will be your best friend, also, start marking out where you plan to put doors and windows so you won’t place nails or screws where you’ll be cutting those out.
A New York Businessman moved his family to upper Vermont near the Canadian Border to get back closer to nature and live a simpler life. When he would go to the local general store he would see the locals gathered around the pot belly store gabbing and ribbing each other. After a few years of visiting the store he approached the locals and said, "I have lived here a few years now would I be considered a Pilgrim now?". One of the men stroking his chin leaned back and declared in that rich New England accent, "No, I don't believe you would be." Taken aback he said, What about my children that have been born here would they be considered Pilgrims?" The same man, stroking his chin said, "No, don't believe they would be either". Miffed the man inquired, "What about my grand children? He got the same response from the local. Indignant the man declared, "What would qualify my descendants to be considered Pilgrims?" Looking the man straight in the eye he said, "If a cat had kittens in an oven, would you call them biscuits?"
Are you going to put the door on the East side? The reason I am asking is because I haven't noticed you placing the lag screws with spacing for a door.
Heith, By the time the next cabin build begins your chainsaw skills will be so sharp it will go up like a dream. The cabin has nice tight joints and speed coming through repetition. Check out early videos from Nik Rijavec if you haven’t already.
Been a few years since I’ve harvested and eaten deer that I’ve forgotten what it tastes like, will have to check my local butcher’s next time I’m in there
We have massive amounts of wild Fallow all over the UK - I’m heading out tomorrow to get one :) They were brought to the UK by the Norman’s in the 11th century so we refer to them as prettty native now 😂
Prayers and a bundle of many Devine blessings to you and family ☝ 🙏 🙌 ❤🎯💯%.Asking Our Lord to guard you with safety, strength, wisdom, peace, unity, love and His Healing along with success.❤☝🙏🙌💪🎯💯%. Yes, see you next week.
Not going to lie.. this build is not fun to watch at all. A repetitive and tiresome task that deserves a fast forward. I understand that it’s a lot of work but I don’t remember seeing anything as boring as this cabin in the 6 years or so I’ve been watching your channel.
You keep building and building, but we never get to see you enjoy any of your building.... And you only have 2 weeks left of this year, how are you gonna get another one started, "Later This Year"??? Other than that, I wish you, your family and all your viewers a MERRY CHRISTMAS, God Bless and a Happy New Year!!!!
Money for nothing! It would seem that success brings mediocracy, from a struggling UA-camr striving to create good content and build its profile, to probably a debt-free organization that now allows its creator to pander to his own follies, once a week without much thought needed!
Sorry, sound was all messed up going two or three times a regular speed. Other channels doing OK but yours was really messed up. Don't know what happened.
Seems like a strange and arduous version of a cabin build. It'll probably look great but I've never seen this kind of cabin before. I can't wait to see what it looks like when you're done.

What does Mr Heath download for us?
MY FAVORITE IDAHO OFF GRID UA-cam FAMILY !!!
👍🏼😁👍🏼
God’s blessings, 🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏 stay safe and warm! Good luck with your eight sided cabin. You can do it! 👍Merry Christmas 🎄and Happy New Year!! 💜🎆💜
Thanks for sharing!
Looks amazing Heath. What a back breaking work. Hope you listen to your body.
Love your Fallow Deer!
Is raising your deer for food for you and your family, for economic reasons ( to sell) or for conservation reasons? You’re spending a lot of time, money and effort. ❤️🇨🇦
Thanks for the video Heath.

Hi there, you're making my Hogan enjoy building. From Northern Arizona.
I have built quite a few timber structures. I would use a piece of chalk to mark where I put spikes. That way I made sure not to put one right on top of another and if I needed to cut an opening, I would know where the fasteners are. The cabin is looking good.
You should do a self-supporting spiral roof structure with the center skylight or chimney.
Kris Harbour did that on the first floor of his workshop build. Absolutely fabulous!
Maybe you could save some of larger pieces you cut off those old logs to make shelf’s or tables?
You should be putting a seal material between logs for contraction.
Good point, I was going to comment the same but as a question - would not it worse it to add a material in between to both handle the contractions between temperature changes but also improve the insulation assuming the straight cuts are not perfect?
Another great video, and Merry Christmas!👍🏻
I can hardly wait to see the truck finished I like this video but the truck is going to be a work of art
Building a dream !!! And more to come !!
Love the music on this one!
to cold for me i like to wish you all a very merry christmas
A custom fit, quarter dome heat deflector would go a long way to keeping you warmer during this. I suppose any deflector would work to some degree.. you could move it to face wherever you are working around the fire.
Thanks again for your time making the video watching from Reno NV
Gooooood afternoon Red Poppy and thumbs UP!!
22:05 here in the uk, in bed watching 😅
@paddycaseygsxr That's the cozy way to watch!
@ 14:15 you might consider just pouring a concrete floor in the spring, that would almost self level and would fill in the gaps around the base ?
Maybe you could save some of the larger pieces you cut off of the old logs to make shelves or tables with a cabin.
Happy Sunday and a Merry Christmas from Texas
The cabin that Heath, and HusqaWaukee built...😂😅 The build is coming along nicely, looking forward to seeing more. Love ya'll ❤️
I’d love to see Heath fab up a snow sled to pull behind the skid steer/excavator. Seems like it’d make some of these winter jobs a bit easier.
Loving the 8-sides cabin project! Cheers to the Skinner family ❤
That was a Mule Deer Doe, they hop as they're running, makes me chuckle to watch em run 😂
See you next week
Just a thought but a hand held metal detector would speed up the nail detection process. Great job
Good job. If I had that sawmill, every single day I would be making planks!
Just wondering, what are you building the cabin for ? The other one you built never gets mentioned so assuming it never gets used why build another ? Not a criticism just a question
😂
It's supposed to be a closer cabin that's easier to get to friends, family, and visitors of this channel.
i believe its mainly for content to keep the channel going. Just my opinion.
If you want it to be traditional, door should face east towards the sunrise. Most of my work as an electrician has been on the Navajo Nation. Beautiful land.
What will you do with all the deers,? Sell them? Eat them? Let them loose? L8ve your show
Put a 2x4 on the inside from bottom to top vertical to keep your log cabine have straight walls one in each corner it will help
Happy holiday to you and your family also im native American my self i love you round house you are making
another thing you can do is drill holes and pound in rebar 3 logs deep at a time to make it stout.
I've noticed you've started putting the name of the artist and song name up again when you play music. Thanks!!!
Happy Sunday rpr from the uk 🇬🇧 👍👍👍👍

marry Christmas too your family 🤠🤠🤠😎😎
Awesome 😂😂

Huge numbers of feral Fallow deer in Australin mainland & Tasmania

really getting curious what kind of roof you're planning.I guess in time ,I will find out-Merry Christmas to you and yours-stay healthy
You should try ice carving, your pretty good with a chainsaw.
Thanks for the video from Ozark, Alabama.
Watch ur footing as u walk the rails
Are you going to put the door on the East side? The reason I am asking is because I haven't noticed you placing the lag screws with spacing for a door.
can you cut the big cut on the saw mill about 2 feet in on both ends ?
Heith, By the time the next cabin build begins your chainsaw skills will be so sharp it will go up like a dream. The cabin has nice tight joints and speed coming through repetition. Check out early videos from Nik Rijavec if you haven’t already.
Pick up a chain saw carving disc for your angle grinder? Harbor freight has them. Wood carving discs for the angle grinder?
what's with all the Cabin builds? What about the Cabin up the Hill?
careful NOT to place lumber spikes where the window and door openings are going to be cut out....
ADHD
You're doing another cabin later this year? You're working fast! 😅
Looks like a great fire pit
Been a few years since I’ve harvested and eaten deer that I’ve forgotten what it tastes like, will have to check my local butcher’s next time I’m in there
when will the truck be done?
Hope it don't take as long on the cabin as it has on the pickup truck!
maybe use the mini ex to help lift the logs on to saw mill and on the cabin
Later this year??? You're in December now so that's a bit ambitious isn't it
Are you aware sawdust in soil attracts termites who then look for structures to munch on?
Maybe you could save the ends of those 100 year old logs to make rustic signs with? I am sure people would buy the wood or signs ….
Use a little diesel on the blade, it will lubricate and not freeze.
What about the door?
Started to watch ,at number 25, when it finished watching it. was 2,300
Well Gee since you say that come up to north Idaho a help me build my small log house:)
Peace
🦌🦌
Why do you raise Fallow Deer? Money? Meat, pleasure, etc.
We have massive amounts of wild Fallow all over the UK - I’m heading out tomorrow to get one :) They were brought to the UK by the Norman’s in the 11th century so we refer to them as prettty native now 😂
"Later this year"? You mean later next year, right? Or else you have a lot of work ahead of you. ^^
Hiiiiiiii 💖💖💖
The music on this last video sounds like a remake of Neil Youngs "Harvest Moon". is that what we are hearing?
Prayers and a bundle of many Devine blessings to you and family ☝ 🙏 🙌 ❤🎯💯%.Asking Our Lord to guard you with safety, strength, wisdom, peace, unity, love and His Healing along with success.❤☝🙏🙌💪🎯💯%. Yes, see you next week.
Awesome Heath! 👏👏👏🤩🤩🤩💯💯💯
👍💪💯
I Think the doe came for the buck. :)
my suggestions to weld a handle onto the Sawmill so you're not walking through the rails, or is that even silly to suggest
this might come from ignorance but isnt dangerous setting a fire next to all those shavings and potentially setting ur existing logs on fire?
Not going to lie.. this build is not fun to watch at all. A repetitive and tiresome task that deserves a fast forward. I understand that it’s a lot of work but I don’t remember seeing anything as boring as this cabin in the 6 years or so I’ve been watching your channel.

About 8 months ago you made a similar comment and also how you couldn't waste anymore time watching... yet here we are.
Sorry, sound was all messed up going two or three times a regular speed. Other channels doing OK but yours was really messed up. Don't know what happened.
Yes, I just fixed it, now it's working just fine! Thanks for sharing. I do enjoy your channel. ❤❤❤👳♀️❤❤❤
