Thanks for breaking down the benefit of each ingredient! I recommend using a metal or biodegradable straw when having it because it tends to burn the lips.
@@joyoushealth Oh I wasn't very clear, I meant that there's this abrasive effect in pineapple and grapefruit that tends to crack or dry my lips if I don't rinse my mouth after drinking this "elixir". That is why I prefer using a straw. Now regarding the cayenne pepper... that sounds like something I want to try :) Thanks again!
I add ginger root to a green juice every day, but I just take turmeric capsules, I juiced fresh turmeric root once and will never do it again. Cleaning my juicer and sink and everything the juice touched was a nightmare after that. How do you keep your blender so clean?
patty 8873 If it looks a little stained I just blitz it with half a lemon and water. It also comes clean in the dishwasher nicely. It’s never stained my sink but I have a steel sink not white. Is your sink white?
Yes, it's great for years I drink half a liter of that every morning and makes me feel good. One quarter of cup? 😅 I make it cold pressed I don't like much smoothies.
ajgssa haha! I drink it more like a shot although that was supposed to be edited out lol! 1/2 cup is more like it. A full cup is too high in natural sugars for me and I like it to be more of an elixir 💛
I can’t find Turmeric Root where I am. I wish I could find it because I don’t like how powder settles in drinks, although I do use it. Can’t wait to try. Need several ingredients.
Hi there! I always enable the captions but sometimes it takes a while to show up. I just posted it this afternoon so maybe check back in a couple of hours or tomorrow morning? Sorry it's not there yet.
@@joyoushealth Hi! Thank you so much for such a quick reply! Sure, I will come back tomorrow. I look forward to watching your video and learning more about it. :)
I really like that way you exsplain :) my first video from u is about eczema and that help me so much, thank you joy :).. but any way turmeric is rhizome not root
sifa wahdatun thank you! Yes correct, technically speaking but chatting in layman’s terms it’s okay to call it a root since it’s root-like, just like ginger 💛
Joy, do you have any problem that your blender become yellow from the stain of the turmeric? If you do, how do you clean your blender? I wanted to try this recipe but worry my blender become yellow afterwards.
Wani Hamid if you use your blender all the time not just with turmeric based recipes then the stain eventually goes away. Although interestingly, I find my vitamix picks up the strains better than my blendtec. A few other ways to get rid it - toss half a lemon in and blend it or put it in the dishwasher. I use turmeric a lot and neither of my blenders are stained so it’s working!
@@joyoushealth can I use non-organic pineapple fresh... bcoz can't find frozen or organic.... can I have a full glass?? Hhhhh yours is almost empty.... is it harmful??
@@themysterious-_-3446 It's not harmful at all. I just like to use it more medicinally in a smaller amount, almost like a shot you'd get at a juice bar :) I didn't show this in my video but I like putting a bit of cayenne into it as well.

Joy and sunshine in a cup 🌞💕

Great looking hair and complexion you have!

Great tip, however, I didn't find it THAT spicy! Did you add cayenne?

Maggie P you can always strain it?
@@joyoushealth wow didn’t know that I could still get enough by straining. Thanks I sure will do that.
Hi! I enjoy watching your videos; however, not all of your videos have captions considering I am deaf. I would like to learn more about Golden Elixir.
