Thank you so much ! I'm trying to learn and educate all at the same time. I'm constantly working on changing my diet and fighting with family and doctors about my choice. As challenging as it may be, I know I'm in the right place and on the right path....

Namaste SAPNA, THANK YOU FOR YOUR VIDEO. In Canada our winter is severe, where 15 or more below celcius can be for six months. I have the body of a 64 yr old male. You recommend urad dhal. I have not had it for years since I found out that it contributes to more arthritic pain due to osteo-arthritis. It is very sticky and blocks the joints. I agree that Mung dhal is the staple and should be emphasised. I like kidney beans but it increases vata so I never consume it. I have a vata pitta constitution with vata kapha imblance / vikruti. As you know Ayurveda is very individual, and not everything is Tri-doshic, or for all types.
I lived as a brahmana pujari in mandirs for over 20 years. I learned from my Guru Maharaja that Lord Krishna will not accept offerings of garlic or onions due to their strong tamasic (ignorant) and rajasic (passionate) qualities. I LOVE HING, and that is my "onion and garlic". I am already too ignorant and passionate so I dont need to become more. There are other foods that have pungency like radish and rapini (mustard greens) that are a more sattvic way to get pungency
Namaste Gaura Das Ji, Thank you so much watching this video. Ayurveda is a personalized approach to wellness and you have a deep insight on your vikruti. You are completely correct on your observations and I agree with your personal meal choices. My recommendations in this video are to give a general overview about the tastes of the winter season. And I mention regularly that the quality of seasons can vary from our geographic locations. You are absolutely correct to avoid the heavy legumes based on your age, current vikruti and geographic location. Thank you so much for sharing. Namaste.
Thank you very much for the great information !
I am so glad you enjoyed the information. Stay Warm and Healthy!!
What about Paneer ?
However, one's health is constantly influenced by various internal, external and environmental factors like day and night, seasonal changes, diet, lifestyle choices but can be managed if you avoid modern medicines and try ayurvedic medicines from planet ayurveda.
