Flew G-BHAA twice on my first day as a newbie instructor at Shobdon. It was on June 11th, 1986. AA's been through a few paint schemes since then, some good, some less so. I think the present scheme is really cool. In all I did over 5,000 hours' instructing at Shobdon, a fair chunk of that being on good old AA. Thanks for the nostalgia!
@kennethrodmell9006 oh wow, thanks for sharing. That's certainly a lot of hours! I didn't realise AA had been based at Shobdon since then. I always enjoy visiting the airfield and have been doing so since 2013. I have some photos of AA from back then in a red and white scheme. I do agree that the current scheme is very nice.
