Believe it or not the majority of people watch your channel because they like who you are as a person, want to support you and live part of their life through your experiences. Keep it human and the content raw and you will continue to power on. Thank you for all you do 👍 Miguel

I’m binge watching 2 years after this episode. Over 100k subs now and counting because of the honesty and entertainment! The improvisation when an ingredient is forgotten, the willingness to admit mistakes on camera and take the piss out of yourself is not what the “influencer” crowd would usually do…
The colabs have added to the channel too. The pisstaking, the laughter, the general entertainment are sometimes hilarious, but not essential in every video.
I hope the channel grows for a long time to come!

Some people seem to be perfectly suited to be in front of a camera. They have something that others don't have, not just a single characteristic but a combination of factors that just make them pop in front of a lens. You have it, Alex (Intents) has it, Michael Sanders (Seek Adventure) has it in spades and Gavin and his lovely partner Summer (Foreman and Wilms Adventures) have it. I remember this channel when you had just 1 video and 3000+ subscribers all just waiting for you to find the thing you are really suited to do. A big thumbs up to Ronny for pointing you in the right direction. Two of the UA-camrs I mentioned above have walked away from the platform so it obviously isn't all fun and freebies all the time which is the way it tends to appear to viewers. I am lucky in a way because I don't do this for a living but if you do, the stress has to be a bit intense at times.

Just speaking for myself boss - I watch your videos when I need the escape. I grew up camping/fishing/grilling in the "bush" or what we called the woods in AZ, USA and I miss that so much. I come home from my corporate job, crack a "tin" and pull up your videos to take me somewhere special from my childhood. The lifestyle is the motif, the recipes are just bonus. Your channel is unique because of the gear, the fire, the elements. Keep doing what's fun for all of us. That's why people watch. You could throw a cast iron on a flame and just cook one fried egg and I'd still watch. Cheers.

Let's put it this way- I've never made the effort to comment, but doing it to encourage you. I came to your channel after Ronnie's episode of Modified with you. I just figured you two got on well. Your humour is great, the fact you are honest about your endorsements too. These are the things I'd love to do too, camp, cook and offroad ( just not there yet), but continue to keep the content real, as you do mate!

Harry you are a bloody legend mate ! I know this is an older vid but I only just stumbled across it.
I Don’t 4wD , but I grew up on a farm where camping and cooking out were always the best times for us. Your genuinely laid back attitude towards all of this is why people tune in and you can tell you’re not a sellout so no need to justify it. I watch your vids late at night just to wind down sometimes, they are so good !
    Keep it up. Cheers Matt

I’m done camping, I’m done cooking at a campsite. Been there, done that for decades as an officer in the special forces of the Swedish Air Force.
If Itchy Boots can travel the world on a motorcycle I can do the same with my small family of three in a 2022 Jimny.
    - But yet I learn from you and the lesson thought is your contagious attitude. I love it!

Second time watching this video, and it bought up a question. I notice a few presenters I have been following are going over to full time. This does take courage and a commitment from you guys, which we, the audience, appreciate. Also sad to see guys like Michael take a break. Question is, how many subscribers do you feel are needed to be comfortable financially? Some of my best cooking, I have learned from these videos.....

Mate you're videos change peoples outlook and give them the confidence to try something they never normally would. I did my first lamb rack on the fire tonight using your book and video's as a guide. Whilst it wasn't perfect, I was happy, the wife was stoked ( she had the night off cooking for the first time in aaages) and we had a great meal together, which seeing as I'm in Vic and still locked down provided a great night for us, screaming baby and toddler aside.

Love this video mate. As a budding content creator myself I feel a lot the same as you (For anyone wondering I am currently moving my old content to this new channel). Also as someone that has been self employed in the past it is a very uncomfortable thought when it comes to going back & working for someone else. I started my channel simply because I enjoy filming and taking photos of my trips and my DIY stuff but most of all I just love getting out and seeing our country. I'm a long way off being monetized but hopefully one day I will be able to do that and live from the content, Patreon, Merchandise etc. I am worried it will ruin the joy I get from getting out but at the same time as mentioned the filming and bringing people this sort of stuff is something I do also enjoy. Trips away without filming is something that will still be needed too.

I've been lurking for a bit because you cook the way I love to cook, with fire. I was getting ready to head off overlanding when the latest Melbourne lockdown happened. Thanks for getting me on to the red roads fire pit :) was getting a good workout until we (in NSW) went into lockdown. And for the pulled pork recipe (which has been adapted well to locked down apartment living).

Fantastic video Harry. It is nice to hear about your journey. Enjoy being a dad and spend as much time as possible with your family and friends. Looking forward to your next video and I'm going out to buy your book. By the way, your carbonara has become a regular meal in our household. We love it. Thank you.
