Tricky stuff with left foot moving from hi-hat to a cowbell (I don’t have one, so it was replaced with an old china cymbal) and right hand playing figures from 1 to 8 while moving between an auxiliary hi-hat and a cowbell (two tom rims in my case)

Focus on the hands first. Or even start playing quarter notes with your left hand and subdivisions from 2 to 8 with your right hand. It takes time, of course :)
