    Broncos aren’t getting a qb in the 12, they’re trading back and getting a high second and getting Spencer Rattler in the 2nd or 3rd.

    • @thepyloncam
      @thepyloncam  10 місяців тому +1

      The Broncos are definitely one of the most interesting teams to watch. I think they will be on the move one way or the other considering what Sean Payton said during his SB weekend interviews.

      @@thepyloncam Spencer Rattler is a first rounder I think he’s the biggest sleeper (QB) in the draft. His team did not help him look good, horrible O line and only one weapon put him under the radar but in my opinion he plays better than every other QB in the draft. He’s super accurate and his release is quick. He can do it all.

    • @thepyloncam
      @thepyloncam  10 місяців тому

      @angelrocha6505 Rattler can only increase his stock imo especially after first overall hype a few years back and a solid senior bowl. He’ll be an interesting name to watch at the combine. I don’t know if he’ll sneak in round 1 but maybe he can sneak in top 50. I would leave this as a very loose and open conversation though haha he could definitely move up.

    Can make an easy and strong argument that CJ Stroud had clinic level QB passing technique coming out. He was a layup #1 prospect.

      @@thepyloncam You mentioned something about Luck being the only rookie QB prospect coming out that waz a slam dunk and able to carry a bad roster to the playoffs in year one.
      CJ Stroud did the same his rookie year with a bad roster around him and clearly should have been drafted over Bryce Young (who had no business going #1 overall or probably in the first round).
      I've never seen a better technique thrower than Stroud. Too much group think in the media last year around the tiny sub-par arm Bryce Young.

    • @thepyloncam
      @thepyloncam  10 місяців тому

      @larkwyll7351 in my opinion, for the panthers to have pushed all the chip to the center like that, it should have been Anthony Richardson, take the biggest swing on the biggest investment! I Adamantly advised against taking Bryce! But the Texans roster is not nearly as bad as the Colts was!

    • @larkwyll7351
      @larkwyll7351 10 місяців тому +1

      @@thepyloncam I assume you mean the Panthers, but I don't actually agree with that either. The Texans were the #2 pick and the Panthers were the original owner of the #9 pick with a better record the year prior. The Texans simply found tremendously more value from top-to-bottom in last years' draft than the Panthers did. Largely in part to the massive haul of picks the Panthers elected to trade for Bryce in moving up from #9 to #1.
      For sure the Panthers had an awful roster last year, I can agree with that. I would say regarding AR15 that Stroud is actually more gifted at playing QB and Richardson as we saw is going to get hurt more often and have a shorter pro shelf life due to his style of play. Too many fantasy football owners chase the running QB. Stroud is a better pocket passer than Richardson and always will be. But to be fair to Richardson, he did look a lot better in his short stint last year than I expected. Much more efficient. I think he has a bright future as long as he continues to be coached up.
      But Stroud makes every single throw nearly perfectly. That's as high of a QB ceiling as it gets. Stroud or bust.

    • @thepyloncam
      @thepyloncam  10 місяців тому

      You are missing my point I think. It was no debate who the highest upside prospect was out of the 3 QBs available. While I had Stroud as my QB1 last year, if I were the GM and I had just made a huge investment, I would want the stock with the highest potential return (Anthony Richardson) not the safety stock (Bryce Young). I totally agree that Bryce should have never gone number 1 overall my rankings last year were Stroud, AR, Young.
      If I were a team like the Bears (2023) who organically got the first overall pick I would have taken Stroud since he was the best QB in the class as I stated last year.

    The Houston Texans need a defensive tackle to shore up the middle of their defensive front.
    The Texans have Will Anderson Jr. and Jonathan Greenard, so you selection of Laiatu Latu is a WASTE. Also, Latu has had some neck issues that would make most teams back off. Neck issue can often resurface. Why gamble on taking a damaged athlete? Please give someone else Latu.
    We Texans fans remember wheh Jadeveon Clowney was drafted out of South Carodlina. He was injured coming out of college. Clowney spent most of his time on the bench. He never got healthy until after he was playing elsewhere.
    The Texans need either Byron Murphy II or Jer’Zhan Newton.

    • @thepyloncam
      @thepyloncam  10 місяців тому

      Sarah as you know I’ve gone Johnny Newton here for 3 weeks and I touch on Latu’s medical concerns each time I talk about him. Latu is an incredible player before being an incredible athlete. His pass rush package and plan is so advanced for where he’s at in his career. Latu and Will Anderson would absolutely dominate the AFC south and probably be the best young pass rush duo in the nfl almost immediately. Remember when everyone said the same thing about Jalen Phillips? Jalen Phillips blew out his Achilles (unfortunately) before his college concerns every resurfaced in his NFL career. I know IDL is a bigger need than edge for the Texans but Latu and Will Anderson would be an absolute force, trust your boy ❤️

    • @sarahmccoy1941
      @sarahmccoy1941 10 місяців тому +1

      @@thepyloncam Neck injures are much different from leg or foot injuries. Latu is incredible, so long as he stays healthy. Football is a physically demanding game. One good hit to his neck could cause the problems to resurface. I say, why take a chance.
      Also, as you remember Jalen Phillips, I remember Jadaveon Clowney, who never panned out, because he was injured during his final season at South Carolina. Clowney never regained his true abilities until he was long gone from Houston. He turned out to be a wasted pick. At the time he was drafted, the deal was, wait till we pear him with JJ Watt. It never panned out.
      Jonathan Greenard had a terrific 2023 season for Texans. The Texans need only resign him.
      Add Byron Murphy II or Jer’Zhan Newton to the middle and you really have a formidable front for the Texans.

    What do you think about Bowers to Jets If he falls Like in this scenario

    • @thepyloncam
      @thepyloncam  10 місяців тому

      I was so tempted to take him to the Jets because I think the Jets are desperate for just good TE play which they haven’t had in what feels like a century. The issue is the Jets HAVE TO WIN NOW and taking Bowers over OT which is a position they are atrocious at with Rodgers coming off the Achilles I couldn’t do it. HOWEVER! If the Jets do sign David Bakhtiari I think it very much puts Bowers in play here. Unfortunately, alls I can base this pick off of is what information we know and half at this moment. I’d love Bowers for the Jets if it makes sense :)

    i honestly came to prospect fight with you, and the reason i'm gonna War Room fight you is just i tend to think at certain positions, were kindred scout spirits, but there's just certain players man, you just lose me, and you break my brain on, and everyone really does, and i just can't take it anymore and that player this year is Malik Nabers. i'm like that friend right now that sees you with the wrong girl, and i'm just like, this ain't the look bro, and i certainly don't get it. i need you to help me understand wat you see in this nabers girl, like no man, and better than Rome Odunze? really dude? it's intervention time. tell me what i'm missing this dude is playing in the slot. in the SEC. LSU, is matchup hunting for him, sure college teams are scared of his speed. But don't fall for the cute ish like, you remember that one time you fell for that john ross chick and i'm like i know what ur thinking but don't do it dude like. just pause think, like Jalin Hyatt is plenty fast enough for you, you already have good thing at home. he's already doing that for you and i'm pretty sure Nabers hot teammate who's on the boundary more often is better anyways. so please dude just snap out of it. i don't want ur heart broken again, ur GM fired. this isn't the right thing for you. i don't even know whats good about Nabers anyways. What's the elite trait besides this speed that NFL nickels are gonna press for breakfast?

    • @thepyloncam
      @thepyloncam  10 місяців тому +3

      Alright let me explain why Malik Nabers clears Odunze in almost every way possible. First and foremost, there are three metrics that have a very high correlation to NFL success: breakout age, YPRR, and draft capital. Malik Nabers broke out as a Sophomore to Odunze breaking out as a Junior. Malik Nabers had the best season of any wide receiver in all of college football even over Marvin Harrison Jr. In 2024 Nabers had a YPRR of 3.64 which was higher than MH Jr at 3.44 and Oduze at 3.06. Odunze had a YPRR against Man coverage at 3.91 however, Nabers at 3.15 both higher than MH Jr. Against zone coverage, Nabers had a 3.32 to Oduze 3.05. These are just their stats for this year.... their best years... and Nabers clears in 2/3 YPRR metrics but lets look at their careers. In their careers, Nabers has a 2.83 which is extremely high, Odunze had a 2.53 which was behind Troy Franklin and Ladd McConkey. Also over the course of their careers, Nabers has more Y/Rec and YAC/Rec. Career PFF grades, Nabers ties MH Jr at 80.2 where Odunze comes in at 74.2
      Nabers led FBS last year at 120.7 receiving yards per game, 2nd in the FBS with 1,569 receiving yards, 3rd in FBS last season with 14 TDs, LED the SEC IN BACK TO BACK SEASON, Holds the LSU record for both receptions and receiving yards (over Jettas, OBJ, Jarvis Landry, Chase (covid year i know)). SEC Wide Receivers to post 1000+ yards as a sophomore and 1500+ as a Junior - Malik Nabers, end of list. All of this and I have not even mentioned his film. His releases, home run ability with run after catch, will probably run 4.4 - 4.5, etc. Nabers does everything well and would be in contention for the top 4 pick if MH Jr never was born.
      Do not hear what I am not saying, I love Odunze and have him ranked as WR3 but to me, there is a clear tier break between Nabers and MH Jr to Odunze. Odunze is a dog but he is just not the player Nabers is.
