Crazy take for the chiefs pick. Hella reach can get him in the second round. If the chiefs do that they should draft the other (and better Texas wr) Adonai Mitchell
AD Mitchell is by no stretch of the imagination even remotely close to being better than Worthy. Film and analytics back this stance take a look at this study I did WR Prospects - x.com/mikeforcella/status/1755584498408829323?s=46&t=vDvi3w3K2eMiLUB1x1CJHA AD Mitchell vs Xavier Worthy - x.com/mikeforcella/status/1742318852426641887?s=46&t=vDvi3w3K2eMiLUB1x1CJHA
The trade value is subjective and is really team dependent. The point of the video is to explore trades that could happen I just kind of eye balled the value based on similar trades that have happened in the past. I appreciate the feedback 👍🏼
WR's aren't the building blocks a lot of fans think they are. Take the QB if you don't have one or a line player. WR's are nice to have, but this draft is very deep at the position and QB is the truck, WR is the trailer.
i'm with you all the way, like i'll replace a 1 production with a 2 multiple slots, multiple Y's and a run game. if more value is available. (look at the packers last year)
I do agree. I think that WR1 is the 3rd most important position with an argument to be made for Edge1. However, there are scenarios that can present themselves where taking the WR1 over the the offensive line help or edge defender makes sense. For instance, the Giants have invested the most premium draft capital over the past 10 years in offensive line but have failed to develop any of them. Taking Joe Alt would be a great move but it’s time to see a return on investment in the picks made and take an alpha WR1 which is also a massive hole for Big Blue.
Trade value for Cards Jets move really short changes the Cardinals although this is a deep class, the blue chip players talent level drops off fast. Only the first half of the first round will be blue chippers. They would take Alt. He is a 10 year solution to the left tackle position. There is a solid chance they take Alt at 4 if Harrison is gone.
I’m not super worried about the compensation of the trade because as I mentioned it’s all subjective and case to case so there’s no science in determining the exact cost of a deal. What someone pointed out to me that I didn’t know when I recorded this was that PJJ might get moved back to RT and if that is the case I would have selected Alt at 6 for the Cardinals.
I love the idea of MHJ going 3rd to the Pats. Makes it likely in that scenario they would trade for Fields or sign Cousins on a fully guaranteed 2 year deal that the Vikings wouldn’t feel comfortable matching.
The Pats have so many holes on their roster it’s just a tough buy that they would pass on QB since they need one so desperately. At the same time, you don’t want to throw a rookie out there and let him get the Bryce Young/Daniel Jones/Justin Fields treatment 😂
With the Vikings bringing in a new QB coach like McCown right before the draft i don't see an outcome where they don't walk away with a top 4 QB (probably either Daniels, Maye, or Mccarthy) even if they have to trade up and they already have an aggressive gm
I firmly believe they get aggressive for a QB I just have a very hard time seeing any of the top 3 teams passing on a QB. If the Pats elect to go MH, it will be chaos for pick 4 😂. I think there’s also a chance the Vikings even get aggressive for a player like JJ or Nix I just have a hard time gauging the value of Nix tbh.
Cardinals rumor to want to keep PJJ at right tackle, so in the case Marv is gone at 4, that trade back to 6 and picking Joe is best case scenario. Not getting a top receiver would be tough to stomach but Joe would lock down the blind side for years to come. Something Kyler has never had since hes been in the league. Latu being the only real selection at 27 is almost worst case scenario. Most of our picks last year besides PJJ dealt with major injuries, or have had injury concerns so I have never been on the Latu train. Cannot deny his production though dude is a monster. Chop is about to skyrocket after the combine and I wouldnt mind him over Latu. Especially considering where this team is currently at in terms of a rebuild. Decent draft considering all the draft capital.👍
As I mentioned throughout the video, every trade is subjective and case to case there’s no science in determining the value of a trade. I was more focused on the potential of the move rather than the cost.
Bears should 100% stick and pick. Or trade back if anything. Bears have too many needs to move up for Nabers. If you can get Rome at 9, that’s vastly better than trading up for Nabers. Rome compliments a guy like Moore more than Nabers does. Though I think overall Nabers is a slightly better player.
Mayo has no say in a GM role. That's Elliott Wolf's job. He was opposed some picks Bill drafted and what Kraft wanted to draft like Gronk and Mac. Kraft was right about Gronk, not Mac Jones. Last WR NE took in first round was Terry Glenn by Bill Parcells and BB drafted Dieon Branch in the 2nd round only WR to pan out in New England as WR1
I believe if Maye doesn't fall to them, it makes sense for them to get the MHJ, and if thats the case. They will get some offers from teams that want MHJ and get some assets as well. Daniels, to me, is a running Mac Jones. Not ready to have another case like Mac again as a fan
The second trade back for the cardinals was awful value 4 spots back in the first round is not worth a 4th rounder especially when it was the 6th gd value would not have been trading 2 identical picks but giving us 72 aswell
As I mentioned numerous times throughout the video, the value of the trades was not the focus it was the legitimacy of a potential movement. Trade value is case to case and subjective so there’s no science in determining it.
@@thepyloncam Yh that’s fair enough when it doesn’t effect the draft, I do like the idea of us trading back but u never want to see ur team get rinsed in a trade
@samuelbanham9691 yeah was shooting more for the idea/scenario rather than the compensation. I don’t wanna see anyone get fleeced unless it’s the Eagles or Cowboys 😭😭😭
One thing I think the “haul” bears fans crowd doesn’t realize is that the haul would essentially be Drake Maye + picks. Fields is getting shipped out either way. Me personally I prefer Caleb Williams but I am not mad at all over Drake Maye if they go that way. Keeping Fields over Caleb/Maye + haul should get you fired.
Admittedly I’m very high on Worthy, this was more of a flag plant pick but also within the realm of possibility. The idea was to get in front of Baltimore just in case the Ravens feel the need to add receivers. To me there is a tier break from Worthy to WR6 and I think he’s an ideal fit in this offense.
i think everyone is too high on Tyler Guyton and i'm gonna laugh at everyone if and when he falls to day 2 because for me its just that no matter what he does at the combine, the issue he'd run into for me is why is he any different or any more or less ready than trevor penning? small school vs big school but big 12 blah blah blah. not ready to play is not ready to play, Austin Jackson not ready is just Austin Jackson not ready and i think Austin Jackson might've been more ready at the same point tbh. the floor is so low lol
I don’t disagree with this at all and love the penning comparison. However, we see teams yesr after year get enamored with traits and ceilings it often leads to draft blunders. Someone as freaky as Guyton will either boom or bust. I tend to believe if he goes to Philly/Dallas/GB where he can sit and develop he’ll be a stud. If he goes to Pittsburgh and gets thrown to the fire it’ll be a catastrophic failure. No in between imo.
i would like drake maye to throw, CJ didn't have a problem with it, semi helped Herbert, not really, but it says a lot about him if he threw. i will say i'm a believer in DJ dimes, i feel unless they take Maye or Caleb he's the best QB on the roster and i know scouts don't like next years class if it doesn't work out but i'd eat the pill and just take a dude next year. nobody is Caleb but i don't think there's a big difference between QB1 next year and QB3 next year and i'm pretty sure Jayden Daniels is semi overrated, that being said, my instincts tell me the giants are willing to pull the trigger on JJ McCarthy, because its a problem if you don't and he hits and the thing to remember about JJ is, if JJ stayed in school its hard not to imagine he'd be QB1 or 2 next season anyways, so just project out and take him if you buy the potential. i think he's still in play for QB2 for this reason.
I wish they all would throw personally. The only time I don’t believe a player needs to throw is if they are consensus pick 1 and there’s nothing to gain, but even then I’d still like them to throw. As the resident Giants fan, they are very very interested in Drake Maye from everything I’ve read from just knowing the organization. For me, I think they will keep DJ and build around him or get Drake Maye if he falls to 3/4 but that’s it. This regime is smart and knows last season was straight absolute worse case scenario. Ideally I’d like them to stick and pick to get Nabers or go all in for Maye. Everything else is wrong imo 😂
I’m not even mad at this because I’m dying 😂😂😂 bro talk to me about the falcons! Tell me why they shouldn’t go JJ. I think the Falcons are so close to winning the division they were my pick last year but Arthur Smith is a terrorist
I tried bro I truly did but I couldn’t think of anything realistic, I’m sorry 😪 maybe if they traded Tae but that would be doing the same thing the Panthers did and look what that did to Bryce
Are you referring to the draft capital in the trades? For most of them I’ve gone off of previous trades or what’s been rumored. There is no science to trade calculations as everything is subjective plus with QBs there is a premium. My intention was more about the potential moves rather than what it would cost because if a team could move they will pay whatever price they see fit.
The only team in the top 10 that super wants a TE is the Chargers, trading back a little and taking Bowers there is the best case scenario for them, only thing will be if there is a dancing partner for that trade. Nobody else really looking for a TE until maybe the Saints? Colts for sure.
@@thepyloncam He'll definitely be in the top 10 for sure. I see him at the Chargers now that Jim Harbaugh is there now. Give Hebert another weapon on offense.
@@thepyloncam definitely possible but I just don’t think his development so far Bears🐻 that out. His work reading a defense, going through his progressions, and throwing with anticipation all need a decent amount of work going into year four. Could it still click? Sure.
