    Great video! But I would argue Perplexity is not the first example of (almost) invisible branding. Google Search has been as invisible as possible since the beginning. The marketing is noisy but there's a difference between marketing and user experience. Both Apple and Google (and many others) recede when you use the products and the Google dots were an excellent example of branding a functional element - baking the DNA of search into their branding. But I definitely agree I prefer the UI for Perplexity!

      I wanted to talk not only about the interface. The search engines have long had that covered. I wanted to talk about the approach to brand formation as a whole and the connection between a simple, invisible interface and the identity of this product. Not just about the simplicity of the input field itself. I agree that my scenarios are far from ideal and I don’t always manage to convey my thoughts clearly and concisely. I am working on this.
