Small question can a stock sd card make your miyyoo crash during ganes and turn off or is the myop turnong off a separate issue and i probably uave to return it? My miyyoo stats on for everything but gaming soon as u stsrt a gane after a minute ir less it turns off completely is that do to a vorrupt sd card and can a new sd card with onion fix this issue? Or is it the device and only option is to return it and get a new one?
You can try refreshing the ROM list by pressing select on a given emulator and selecting that option. If that doesn't work, make sure the file extension type of the ROM is compatible with the emulator you're using.
When I plug it back into power after updating firmware, reformatting again, and then extracting 4.2.3 contents to the SD card it just says charging and doesn't install... Help!
First make sure there's nothing else on the SD card after formatting (fat32) and you're extracting Onion directly to the SD card. Second thing I'd try is another cable/port for power. They can be picky about having the right voltage. Hope that helps!
Im planning on installing the onion os soon but i already played a lot of pokemon before doing that. Just wondering if doing this will wipe save files or if i have to do sum so that doesnt happen.
You could try refreshing all ROMs. Just hit select select on any system in the games folder then "refresh all ROMs" If that doesn't work, double check the base firmware is a compatible version. If yes, it might be easiest to reformat the SD card and try installing Onion fresh again. Let me know if you have any luck!
I don't have much experience with Chrome OS, but if you're able to format an SD card and download/transfer files to that SD card, I don't see why it couldn't work 🤷♂️
The firmwares I linked are not compatible. However, I believe the process (with the correct firmware) is the same. On the Onion website under Docs>Install they have a tab for the regular's firmware under step 3.
Something isn't adding up here. Are you supposed to individually drag ROMS into a folder, or do you just drag your backed up ROMS folder to the SD card and it will add the ROMS? These don't have the same corresponding names on them so it's not matching like you're saying. There are no ROMS in the folder after you go through this update, so the steps don't make sense after the update and none if this works.
Yes, you must take the original games the miyoo came with, and drag them onto ur desktop. Then take out ur old sd card and switch it with the new one and drag the old games onto the roms. This will take you about an hour or 2
I tried using the scraper tool without Sceenscaper and the it often didn't find the correct box art. Because of that I recommended going with Screenscaper.

For some one reason my miyoo mini plus wont show any games it just says empty

Check bro if the sd card is Fat32, if its ExFAT onion OS will not be installed.

The save files should be a separate file on the device. Your best bet would be to back everything up beforehand just in case.
Upgraded mine to latest onion now none of the roms load, see them displayed tries to load then just crashes out on all roms
