Brothgar, please make a video to find out how shop extras (ice in drinks and stuff) actually work, what the optimal configuration is, etc.
So, if I understand correctly, the Queue Scenery Rating is calculated just like gravity in an "x/r^2"-like manner (like gravity), and that result is then weighted with the Ride Scenery which is calculated in a linear manner; the result of that is Prestige. Prestige is something like P=kR+Kx/r^2 or something similar.
Brothgar, you can totally get the ride scenery rating to very high. Try building a huge coaster and then copy/paste walls until the coaster is in a box. Not that you would want that in your park, but just to prove it to yourself I think that would be the easiest method.
Hey man, love your tutorials. They're in depth and well done, and no, they're not too complex. They're just complex enough.
I agree with distance absolutely being a factor, but there's something weird going on with larger buildings. For example, if you build a long queue just to have something to work against in sandbox, you can find the exact distance a Large Clocktower won't affect the queue at all. Then put another one right next to the first one, even a little further away, and suddenly you get 8%.
I've begun to think there's some kind of visibility effect and/or a clustering effect that scenery might have where it enlarges it's effect distance based on the clustering volume of the scenery, but that'll be hard to prove out. However, it doesn't appear to be as cut and dry as it looks at first glance.
You have earned my subscription sir! thanks so much for this video!!!
Wow.... this.... this actually helped me so damn much~! :D Thanks for the short an sweet version of what i was trying to do.... been trying to figure out for weeks how to raise it. Didn't think the red numbers were good, turns out that's just cause it's so low.
according to a scenery guide I've read on steam, you can get VERY HIGH scenery rating for coasters. in order to do that not only do you need massive amount of scenery objects nearby the coaster, but also two trigger items at least. anyway this guide is still very helpful, thank you for making this :P
Excelent video
all i use is 1 Nature Park Bushes 4( tulips) ( close to the ride and it's a 100% rating, that object has great distance cause my next ride close to it also got effect from it lol) and it only cost 198.00
When track goes by one cube 4 times, is it same like 4 cubes by only one track?
Brothgar can you build a perfect rollercoaster (all green, max prestige, 100% queue scenery, and realistic) and make it available on the workshop?
I started to understand that prestige was linked to track scenery, but not that it made this huge a difference.
No wonder I've been struggling to keep my cavernous coaster park afloat.
See if you can catch the single frame of close-up bird during the second of 09:40.
If the ride track interacts with the queue line, does that add anything to the prestige? Say, the track came around the Rubik's cube between the cube and the queue line on the track's way back to the station.
I think the rubix cube was affecting the ride and the que not the Que affecting the ride
Ok let's make sure I understand....prestige × 37.5% = optimized ride price? Did I get that right??
Can we get a copy of your calculator in the STEAM workshop or something??
New subscriber! 😁😎
no, divide by 37.8
Bro I got the most crazy idea make an Aztec tempel type coaster with like a shrine and stuff.
Ps I think you can figure out the rest
I love your vids to
Where do you get that gold?
make 2 que with the same length ans test the placement of the scenery (close to each other or not close)
does that cube exist for console
Do you play on mobile
Why so hard to calculate how much price for the rides? My way i just add $1 per prestige star, example if the original price for the ride is $5.00 and prestige star is 2.5, i just simply $5 + 2.50 = we set $7.50.. Usually this should do the trick.. Unless if gentle rides most guests think its not worth that price, u can lower it by 0.50 to 1.00.. it.. I dont understand why people count so hard.. After quite some time prestige will go higher especially after added scenery, u can still raise the price and guests still line up..very easy
THIRD GIVE ME SOME LEFTOVER CRUMBS
Y no BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROTHGAR
Those are not good rubiks cubes
