I just got the lift yesterday and really like it. The only thing I found frustrating was i could not figure out how to scroll from side to side for spreadsheets. I found this video with the tip to hold the side button to scroll vertically. Thank you so much
You can customise the switches on mx vertical to scroll left and right. But I still prefer the horizontal scrolling on the lift…I too prefer the lift but like you said hand size should determine the choice and I reluctantly have to go with mx vertical 😢
My hand is exactly 7 inches you are saying your hand is medium-sized but also saying you are more comfortable with mx vertical so can I know what the size of your hand is in inches so that I can decide whether to buy a lift or mx
I just need a mx vertical 2, then I will buy. Right now lift is too small since you can't rest your pinkies on the mouse on lift, and mx vertical is too old with less functionalities and old sensors..

Honestly, both FANTASTIC mice. You really can't go wrong with either of them, really comes down to price and hand size.
2:24 You can use horizontal scrolling by holding Left Shift on your keyboard while scrolling :)

battery is better, you always forget to charge. plus mx has scroll wheel problems. mine sometimes doesn't scroll down....
